I like to consider myself an organized person but I felt chaos in my office despite my best…read moreefforts. I truly value my workspace and needed fresh eyes and a creative brain to see the potential I was missing. Cody was exactly what I needed. I was so impressed by her ability to look at my space and see it for the serenely organized office it could be. Her ideas were fresh, simple and cheap but made a HUGE difference in the daily functioning of my business as well as my peace of mind. She really listened to my priorities with my decor and kept the integrity of my style while improving the efficiency. If you are frustrated with your home or office, give Cody a call. She is easy to talk to, fun to have around and great at her job. In a short time she may transform your space into something better than you can imagine.

Hiring a personal organizer wasn't something that immediately occurred to me. After a year of reading books that didn't help, watching the place get more and more cluttered and feeling myself getting more and more overwhelmed, I finally reached out for help. I highly recommend Cody, both as an organizer and an ambassador of calm. She's friendly and personable and fun to be around, and the systems she's helping me put into place have, after just a few weeks, changed our lives considerably. We're all far more inclined to put things away now that we know where everything goes and what our space is for, and all of us, right down to my first-grader, are visibly less stressed out. My husband's blood pressure has even gone down! She's taught us how to look at our house and our things differently, how to figure out what we're doing in each space and how to organize our belongings to make work in each space feel effortless. It isn't just "put this here, put that there"; instead it feels like you're getting a master lesson in how to move through your own life with all it's many accompanying things without simultaneously drowning in paperwork and clutter. I'm seeing our whole house with new eyes. I have a much better grasp now on what I want to keep or give away, what's valuable to me and my goals, and what's just fetter. I don't usually write a lot of reviews, but I really wanted to write this one because I think a lot of people are in households like mine; where a sense of overwhelm prevails over calm on a regular basis, where it feels impossible to make a routine and stick to it. Before I did it, spending money for an organizer felt too indulgent, but now that I've seen what our living space feels like after having Cody here, I can say that it isn't indulgent at all - it's the best money we've spent on our mental health in a long time.

I had a very difficult couple of years, and was trying to find someone who could thoughtfully help…read moreme clean out our space and get our home feeling clean and calm. Enter Juli Julie transformed our home. We started with the obvious spaces like kids rooms and toys, we loved the outcome so much that we ended up doing the entire house, and also our garage. It has been about 6 months and everything still is holding the systems Juli put in place and the organization. It's really amazing how it holds up, and it has made our home feel so much better and it makes us all more efficient and calmer moving through our busy lives. One of my favorite parts was how Juli helps to donate everything and find thoughtful good homes for the things you decide to let go of. I find that's often the hardest part of the process. But Juli takes all of that on, and I always knew everything was going to find a good new home. I would do it again in a second, and hope to have Juli come back just to keep us on track. Total game changer and an amazing investment. Also, Juli is lovely to have around. Feels like a friend helping us get our life in order.

With each move she took the time & care to help my parents through the transitions. She did the space planning, packing, move and set up of each new space. Each space was perfectly designed for their current needs. She was always immediately responsive to our requests. Most recently, after my mother passed away, she made herself available at very short notice to help us clean out my mother's room. She & Joshua were lovely with my father, kind and considerate during this difficult time. My family cannot recommend her highly enough!

Tl;dr: Nicoll is AMAZING and clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to professionally…read moreorganizing your home! Read on below if you want more details about the whole process. So...here's the thing about me. I love stuff. I love having a variety of stuff. I love having colorful pens, cute bags, books...you name it, and I probably started collecting some of it at some point. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with wanting to have and own those things. But what I did notice was that the sheer amount of that stuff was really starting to stress me out. Things didn't have a place. My closet and dresser and drawers were stuffed to the brim. I found it difficult to enjoy these fun things I owned because they were mixed in with other things I didn't enjoy or use anymore. I found that I was hanging onto so many items for years "just in case," and the case would never arrive. I'd tried for years with things like the minimalist challenge and reading self help books to try and get rid of things, but I couldn't seem to make a dent. That's where Nicoll came in. My partner helped me find Nicoll on Yelp and connected the two of us together. We had an introductory phone call where she asked me some questions, and I shared my frustrations with getting rid of things and really needing help with it. We ended up making an appointment for a week later where she showed up with her toolkit and bag of bags for donations. We did a little walk around and I shared areas of stress for me and what I wanted out of the space, which was to know where everything was and to know what I owned. After the intro assessment we dove right in. In the next few hours we: ⁃ Took EVERYTHING out of my closet and purged SO much of it. We went piece by piece and she helped ask clarifying questions (when did I last wear it? Do I like it?) and could usually pick up on if I actually liked something. I noticed patterns of how I reacted when I loved something vs when I wasn't sure or was sort of convincing myself. This is an exercise I tried doing before on my own, but when there's someone standing there, who you paid to help you, who's not attached to your stuff....let me tell you, it changes the game. I found myself deciding to donate (and sometimes sell) what must have been at least a third of my closet (clothes, hats, bags, electronics, etc). ⁃ She busted out her label maker and helped organize and label shelves in categories that made sense. Now I know where everything is! ⁃ She packed up all the items I decided to donate into bags and packed them into her car. It ended up being about 15 bags of things which was absolutely wild to me. Nicoll taking these bags out of my house was a game changer, because there have been many times I've decided to donate items that just end up sitting there in bags for months! I noticed that night going to bed that my room felt emptier, in a really good way. It felt calmer, cleaner, and like I could breathe a bit easier. Some people might read this and think that they shouldn't have to hire someone to help them organize. I know for myself that I hit a wall when it came to organizing on my own, and I needed to ask for help. I'm so glad I did, because it changed my life and my relationship with "stuff." I'm confident that Nicoll will be able to help you if you need it, and I cannot recommend her enough!
