Reception staff excellent. No executive lounge but was given breakfast vouchers good for their continental breakfast. The voucher could be used toward main menu items worth $13 CAD. Great food at the restaurant with attentive servers. The Sunday brunch is extensive and we were allowed to use the voucher toward it. However we were misinformed as voucher is only good for continental breakfast, not brunch. The manager made an exception due to misinformation. Kudos to the manager. Room very clean. However, housekeeping did not do a thorough job first night (trash not emptied, short on towels). Also had to call maintenance to fix TV and repair shower handle. Maintenance was very prompt and effective. The hotel just needs a little oversight on small issues like this. Hotel is located in the harbor district and footbridge gives access to downtown. The Landmark Inn is the only hotel in town that I've ever heard of where you may NOT order room service, because (as the staff told me) "...they've been ripped off too many times, so it kind of got ruined for everyone!" You have to walk downstairs through the Lobby to the Restaurant and order your food, then go wait in your room until they call you - And then walk back down to the restaurant and pick up your order on a cafeteria tray, and cart it back to your room through the hotel and all the people "hanging out" in the Lobby...
