This is upselling and it's an incredible annoying cheap ploy for a dentist to compensate what insurance does not cover. The office of Dean Nguyen isn't like that - they're old school. During the procedure, I experienced significant pain and had to repeatedly ask for additional anesthesia. Immediately afterward, I could no longer floss between teeth #18 and #19, and the temporary crown caused ongoing discomfort. Due to how uneasy I felt, I sought a second opinion from another licensed dentist, who reviewed my x-rays and confirmed that the work on teeth #18 and #19 was incomplete and improperly contoured, and that the temporary crown was chipped. I have documentation and imaging to support this. When I returned to Visionary Dental Arts to address these issues, I encountered conflicting information about what work had even been performed. At one point, staff insisted they had worked on a different tooth entirely, despite evidence otherwise. The interaction felt dismissive and gaslighting, and no meaningful effort was made to correct the situation. I am still experiencing pain, especially when eating, and now require corrective treatment elsewhere. Overall, this was a stressful and concerning experience involving poor communication, questionable treatment, and lack of accountability. I would recommend seeking a second opinion if you receive care here. Avoid Dr. Williams and team!

After researching on Yelp, I found that A+ Family Dental was conveniently located and had received overwhelmingly positive reviews. I called them up and inquired if they could accommodate me that day. They kindly assured me that they could take me in immediately. Upon entering A+ Family Dental, I was immediately greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff, incredibly kind and sweet, made me feel like I was at home rather than a patient. Dr. Victor examined my teeth, and we discussed some options. I went with the extraction and bone graft. I did enjoy the options and not feel compelled. I was a bit concerned about the pain. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the procedure was pain-free. They even provided an air sensation on the opposite side of my cheek, which helped distract me from the initial injection, which was completely painless due to the numbing of the gums beforehand. The entire staff demonstrated exceptional expertise and professionalism, which convinced me of their capabilities. Since then, I've had several other dental procedures performed there, including bone grafting, removal of old silver fillings that were damaged, fillings, and a deep cleaning with text messages reminding you of your up-and-coming appointments and then follow-ups after your procedure, seeing how you feel. They have been accommodating with payment arrangements, and I have become a loyal customer. I truly appreciate the helpful and friendly nature of the staff. They were always eager to answer any questions I had, no matter how simple they may have seemed. Additionally, they provided valuable tips on maintaining good oral hygiene and even gave me a bag filled with dental essentials, In conclusion, A+ Family Dental truly deserves its name. Their exceptional service, expertise, and commitment to patient satisfaction make them a top choice for dental care. Thank you so much to the entire staff from front of the house to the back. You made my visits very special and welcoming. Also, a very special heart-warming thank you to Dr. Victor and hygienist Princess. You made my experience very special and positive, bringing my smile even brighter. Thank you once again and looking forward to our next appointment.

From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff, and at every appointment I've never waited more than five minutes to be called back. They're super prompt and make scheduling easy, no waiting weeks or months because they have a great team of professional doctors, hygienists, and dental assistants ready to care for their patients. The office is clean, modern, and fully updated with equipment, even screens with Netflix for when you're laid back in the chair, which honestly helps a lot lol. They turned what could have been a nerve wracking experience into a really comfortable one. They also take their time explaining everything, the tools they're using, what it will feel like, and what each step does. Overall, 10/10 experience!

After going through the X-rays & 3D scans I was taken to a room where the dentist and the "treatment coordinator" appeared on a Zoom call on a TV screen. The dentist used AI software to analyze my teeth, and declared everything looked good and that I would just need a routine cleaning. The treatment coordinator then told me my out of pocket cost would be $140 for antiseptic just in case my gums bled (which how would they know when no one examined my mouth?). Preventative exams and teeth cleanings are 100% covered by insurance so I was surprised by this. Then they told me I'd have to come back at a later time for a separate appointment for the cleaning. Where to even start here... This was the most impersonal healthcare appointment I've ever been to. I understand the benefit of virtual healthcare (and AI tools in some instances) but for a new patient establishing care this was an awful experience, so my husband and I both walked out. When I called my insurance both agents I spoke to were shocked and had never heard of a virtual dentist appointment and said they would've walked out too. I'd like to clarify that this is not a reflection of the staff at the North Park office. Everyone there was super sweet and helpful. This is more about this company's business practices.

Even though I'd complain of pain, & my gum receded to a "10!", it took multiple professionals here to miss the infection. Hejazi told me I must be stressed from school & needed a bite guard, which didn't even fit when it came. Thank you to Andrea who finally cared to listen and consulted a periodontist (who saw the infection without any equipment and recommended an immediate extraction.) Then the recovery process to get an implant, which took 9 months, ended up being infected because I wasn't properly instructed & didn't have antibiotics. The written discharge said Tylenol & IB. My sinus was perforated and infected as well. The pain was unbelievable & went for weeks before an xray showed the crazy amount of pus clouding my head. Dr Hejazi also offers free crown replacement as long as you keep up with your cleanings, he replaced each crown he did for me cuz they kept breaking. Also charged over 1k for each crown when my insurance told me it should have been $425, so shame on me. Call your insurance and confirm before agreeing to treatment, they also tend to use high pressure sales when agreeing to the financial aspects so you feel trapped. Definitely consult your insurance! Better yet, just don't go here. Dr Hejazi has great social skills but dentistry skills not so much. Please don't put your trust or health in this place, I made that mistake for you. Over that time, Dr. Brian Mananquil and the entire Bella Vita Dental team have consistently gone above and beyond to make sure every concern I've had was addressed with patience, transparency, and genuine care. My treatment has been pretty extensive, to say the least. Dr. Brian has handled everything from implants and sinus lifts to numerous rounds of Invisalign and refinements, along with all of my general fillings, crowns, and other dental work. You name it--I've probably had to get it done; my teeth needed the whole kitchen sink. Throughout the entire process, he has always taken the time to clearly explain my options, answer every question I had, and make adjustments whenever I wanted to explore different approaches. I never once felt rushed or dismissed, which is incredibly important when you're making decisions about major dental work. What stands out most is how accommodating and patient he has been. Even when I've been very detail-oriented about my results, he's always been willing to work with me to get things exactly right. That level of commitment and professionalism is rare. The office is also consistently well-run, the staff is friendly and organized, and appointments are handled smoothly. If you're looking for a dentist or orthodontist who is skilled, thoughtful, and truly invested in achieving the best outcome for their patients, I can't recommend Dr. Brian enough. As soon as I arrived, they told me I suddenly had multiple cavities and needed a crown. For context, I've always been strict with my dental hygiene--regular appointments, flossing daily, no pain, and my previous dentist rarely found anything wrong. Because I take my dental health seriously, I told them to proceed with whatever treatment they believed was necessary, but only if they confirmed everything with my insurance first. They assured me it was all covered, so I went ahead with the fillings and crown. After the work was done, I was suddenly told that my insurance didn't cover everything, and I was left with a $1,000 bill. They offered a $150 discount, which felt dismissive. It's clear they don't prioritize patients and will find ways to overcharge. UPDATE: I have recently been in contact with their practice manager, Bree. She is currently assisting me with my account and the amount owed that was sent to collections. She let me know that she could see the discrepancies and is A assisting me with the amount owed and removing it off of collections. Given my experience, she has been very helpful and extremely communicative which has allowed me to change my review.
