I have got to Dr. Victor several times and am NO longer a pt of his. He is very unprofessional. I…read morehad a Saturday appointment and when i showed up on one was at the office. I called several times only to get his VM and the door was locked. So i waited, maybe he ran out. No one came to the office. So on Monday I got a call saying I was rescheduled for the next Saturday at the same time so I gave it another try and the same thing happened so on Monday I told them I wanted to come in on a weekday. I was given a Tuesday at 9am. So I showed up for my appointment to see 2 other cars sitting outside. At 9 I went ti the door and it was LOCKED. I talked to the girls in the cars and they worked for this office. They told me that he is very random and 2 or 3 days out of the week he won't open the door on time knowing he has a full day and knowing people are outside waiting. What kind of person does that? Does he want to keep his place running or is this just to pass time? I waited that morning for 45 min before he oped that door. I also tried to open the door myself a few times and every time it was locked. When the girls and I went in he said it was unlocked since 9am. I couldn't believe he said that. I said to hime NO IT WAS NOT because I tried to come in here several times and it was locked. I wasn't the only one trying the door. Every 15 min one of his girls would try to. So what is it? We don't know how to open doors? I wasted so much time on this office. The Dental Assistant and office assistant were really nice and tried to apologize for hime but I don't have time for that kind of unprofessionalism.

I wish I seen the review that is here before considering this dentist office. There is only one…read moredentist that works here. His overall demeanor is very calm and compassionate, but his work ethics are flawed. He gives multiple patients the same time when he schedules them because he refuses to hire a receptionist. On multiple occasions I was set for a 10 o'clock appointment and wasn't called in until 1 o'clock, which was literally three hours in the waiting room just twiddling thumbs and watching movies on his tv. One time I was able to watch two full movies before he called my name. On two occasions we got there and his door was completely locked with nobody in sight. We tried to contact him but with no success. He never, emphasis on *NEVER, picks up his phone because he has no receptionist and is always working on someone. He makes up excuses for why he's late/ flat out doesn't show up.. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anybody. Extremely unprofessional.

I feel compelled to comment because my experience was so different from the reviewer's below it's…read morehard to understand how we can be talking about the same office and group of people. I've had two experiences with Greater Waterbury Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and both were excellent. The first experience involved my 20 year old daughter. I brought her here for a consultation, on the recommendation of her primary care dentist, after he recommended that she should have her wisdom teeth removed. While Dr. Hillgen concurred, he also understood our concerns about timing, relative to her college schedule, and we did not actually have the procedure done until one year later. He and his staff were caring and competent throughout. My daughter had all four wisdom teeth removed without complications. More recently (March 2019), I saw Dr. Hillgen for evaluation of a tooth that the endodontists at UConn had told me was not salvageable, and recommended for removal. However, they would not have been able to do the work for another three months. I had a long history with this tooth, which was chronically infected. Dr. Hillgen saw me in the late afternoon. When I told him that I had reached a tipping point and was beyond ready to have it taken out, he and his staff stayed late, beyond their normal closing hours, to extract it that same day. My experience with Dr. Hillgen and every single staff member was that they were caring and professional. The office staff worked with me to get me in quickly, calling me when someone else's cancellation opened up a spot. I was able to email my x-rays to the Office Manager, who made sure that everyone who needed to see them had seen them even before they saw me. A wonderful staff member held my head and stroked my forehead while Dr. Hillgen and an assistant operated to remove the problem tooth. As to finances, the cost of removing this tooth was actually comparable to what the UConn Clinic would have charged, and I was able to pay for it in two installments. The office staff was sensitive to my finances. I did not ask for a price reduction, but they volunteered that I could pay for it in two installments. I would recommend this group without any reservations.
