The wrong color that he provided

[In one sentence] Bad customer service ruins everything. Have not communicated with Victor yet, just stopped in the middle of an order because of the inappropriate attitude I receive from customer serice, Nathan Bezeytin. I hope other clients have better luck and dont talk to him. First of all, I personally really appreciate Victor Canera's professional skill, the rings he made looks subtle and beautiful, and that is why I want to customize my ring here. However, Nathan's customer service really makes me feel uncomfortable. [1] Nathan is not professional. He did not fit or try to fit customers' need. At first, I said I would like colorless diamond, he recommend a G color to me. After I clarify my need to him, he indeed send me another option. However, the next day, i asked for more options, he challenged me why I need more options and why I want larger table of a diamond (although it should be my own preference). I explained and he indeed gave me some more choices. But he still recommending the one he showed me yesterday for "its perfect ASET" according to him. I am not even be able to see the ASET on my end, and ask and realise he was talking about the first G color diamond... (I do not look down on G color, and I respect different peole's choice, but when I customize my ring, it is my own choice.) So I do not feel my own preference is being respected by Nathan at first. [2] As a client, I do not feel being respected by Nathan. I do not feel that my questions have been directly answered by him for most of the time. When I asked about payment method, and asked could i use credit card as I have cash back. Usually the answer should be simply yes or no, and then with more explanation. while Nathan replies "There will be 3% processing charge, i am not sure you can have 3% cash back". It is not your business to know how much my bank pay me. Please at least have some boundary and be respectful. The reason why I still talked with Nathan and did not give up is because I still trust Victor and believe he is professional. With the hope to get a beautiful ring, I choose to proceed and want to order a diamond. As I was waiting my bank to transfer from one of my account to another, I just look up online and accidently saw the same diamond on other online wholesale website. The price there was cheaper! So I just go back and aksed Nathan whether I can do price match. Again, the answer should be simply yes or no, while our lovely Nathen amazed me again. He asked where I saw it, I sent him the link, then i feel being humiliated by him as he said we dont fit, he recommened me to buy from that website or go to Harry Winston. Why directly answering clients' question is so hard? Why put your own judgement while you are the client service? Also, I am fine if you do not do price match as the given price is reasonable to me, but why a try of asking would result in being humiliated? [3]. While Nathan himself is not professional enough to be a client service, he does not give others benefit of doubt. There are many times that I receive really blured pictures. I understand that they cannot provide us with exact GIA number, and I never asked for it (I was angry and wrote "I keep asking GIA number" in the chat, but actually I had never). I always ask for clearer screenshot of the GIA report to see the imperfecfion of the diamond. Also, they only are willing to privide the whole GIA report before shipping. As an international buyer, I did not feel safe and asked Nathan for more clear electronic version of the GIA report for my own record just in case. I tried so hard and ask for multiple times, feelling like begging. I am glad he finally gave that to me, even without the specific GIA number, which I am fine and I understand. However, when I ask for price match later, he said " Ah, thats why you keep asking GIA number". I feel not being given benefit of doubt and REALLY HARD to communicate with him. Nearly for every request, I feel being judged and need to eplain and justify myself to get the service. Nathan's attitude also makes me feel tired and becomes less confident/excited about customizing my ring here. That should NOT be a client's normal experience. Conclusion: Nathan, I hope your boss can see it!

Victor and team are the absolute best. The work is stunning and can not be rivaled. The customer experience is just as good. Every question answered quickly and politely. I was 100% comfortable with the process despite being 3000 miles away. I've had custom work done by other elite jewelry makers (Leon Mege, et al), and Victor's work is at the top of a very talented bunch. The ring he crafted -- during lockdowns, protests, and a pandemic, mind you -- is the nicest piece of jewelry I've seen to date. His signature hearts and arrows diamonds are absolute firecrackers. The stone is brilliant. The setting is delicate and perfectly proportioned. Victor's pricing is fair and considering the quality, it's a true value. A+. Don't think twice. Call him. If you're in LA, go see him.

DM's Review My diamond purchase with Victor has been a wonderful and educational experience. My husband initially surprised me with an upgraded stone and setting to celebrate our anniversary (he is a wonderful man!), and the ring was beautiful, but unfortunately he does not know very much about fine diamonds. He purchased this initial ring from a retail store, and we worked with them to exchange and upgrade the stone, but I just was not happy with the result. I began to research diamonds on the internet, the grading process, what influence fluorescence has on the value of a diamond, how the stones are cut, as well as other fine details. I found Victor through a review online and reached out to him with questions. His response was prompt and thoughtful. He helped to educate me to the nuances of how a diamond is cut, and how the type of cut make an incredible difference in the beauty and presentation of the stone. I had many questions and he answered them all, always responding promptly. The buying process was easy, and so very professional. When I received my new ring I was blown away!!! The photos we exchanged before the purchase were beautiful, but the beauty of the stone in person was unbelievable!! We are so impressed with this purchase that we are having Victor design an eternity band to match. This is what a diamond buying experience should be. We are so very pleased. Thank you Victor!!

Victor and Nicholas helped us with a wedding band this year. The product was beautiful and the attention to detail was impressive. The color of the stones is what we were looking for which is no easy feat to achieve with colored stones. If you aren't purchasing a diamond from them, don't waste your time because they won't design a ring for you. *ETA - the listing does say at the bottom, below the quote button, that the design isn't available for client supplied stones. I willingly admit that I missed this because I saw the ring and instantly wanted to know how much it would cost, I excitedly clicked the button to get an estimate without reading the full description below. But! As a marketing manager responding to an inquiry you should care about helping the client and guiding them. Will update stars to reflect human error on my end.** My husband and I are approaching our 10 year anniversary we've decided to reset my stone. We've browsed a few sites but I never found the "one". Then I remembered, "there's a jeweler that makes really unique designs!" Searched for their IG page and fell in love with one of their halo settings. Went to their site and excitedly sent in an inquiry . I received a response the same day, so I suppose the one star is for their timely response. The ring I fell in love with isn't available for "client supplied stones". I'm good love. My diamond has a great deal of sentimental value. I won't downgrade or upgrade for the sake of getting one of their rings. I look forward to working with a designer who understands this.

Victor has great customer service. I primarily worked with Nicholas, and he was prompt and professional - though, I think more on the professional and administrative side than someone that would offer advice or really affirm worries (jewelry costs a lot!!). Overall, it was a great experience, even hit a snag with another ring I was having made from another vendor, and Victor lent a kind ear and assured that the ring would be perfect and it really was!! I'd recommend Victor to anyone that is willing to put their trust in a master craftsman.

My experience with Victor Canera has been nothing less then excellent. Nicolas Abbondante worked with me to build a custom ring for my fiancé and I'm afraid that she loves the ring more then she loves me. He did an excellent job of asking the right questions and making it perfect. I am very particular about everything and anything that I pay for and they were very patient in dealing with me. The cost for the engagement ring was very reasonable and shipping was fast. I had such a great experience with them that I've decided to purchase a wedding band from Victor Canera as well. I'll post a pic of the engagement ring to show the quality and workmanship. You seriously can't go wrong with this company.

Eli knew exactly what I meant when I asked for a beautifully symmetric diamonds and not crushed ice. We vibed right away. He has great taste and knows what a beautiful diamond looks like from an ugly one. Because let me tell you, there are a lot of ugly diamonds out there and there are many brokers who will try to convince you that they're pretty! I also really appreciated that he didn't ask what my budget was like so many other places. He focused on finding me not one, but two perfectly matched pairs of diamonds for studs. All of the other places wouldn't show me more than one pair. And you know what? I took both pairs because they were both so perfect I couldn't let them go! Other places told me it was impossible to find 2 old mine cushion cut matching diamonds but Eli did it. And he did it in like 2 days! He called me and kept me updated. When he showed me the diamonds he was super patient as I studied each one. There was never, at any point any sales pressure. I reached out on Yelp to ask for a quote to set a pair of loose diamond round earrings in 14k white…read moregold. I was quoted $300 for 1.5 carat total weight. Please keep in mind, at the time of the quote, gold was valued at $5100 per ounce and when I visited, it dropped to $4600 per ounce. I came in, and was told it would be $400-$450 because my total carat weight was in actuality 1.58. I let them know about the estimate I received, to which she angrily said, this is why I hate it when they do online quotes, because people don't know what sizes they have. And then she also got upset because she doesn't know who gave me the quote because of the way Yelp profiles are set up. My mistake for the sizing, but it's not even a full 1/10th of a carat weight. An extra $100 for 0.08. I would understand an increase relative to the weight, had it been 2 total carat weight, that's completely reasonable at half a carat per $100. She said it costs $200 to source the settings, and it doesn't include the labor to polish and clean the item. She started stuttering when she was trying to justify the pricing, so I knew she was lying. A quick google search tells you differently, and they have access to warehouse pricing, so let's be real, she chose to arbitrarily charge more because she felt like it. I left and went with another local jeweler, where they gave me the exact same setting for $300. Don't take what they tell you at face value, do your own research, and make sure you don't get swindled by this business trying to take advantage because they think you don't know any better.
