At that tome it was typical delta and nothing terrible. This time the property has been cleaned up and the staff member assisting us was so kind. Low tide, calm waters, air quality wasn't bad, and it was just a perfect experience. They've added a ramp for getting in and out of the kayaks which was so helpful to easily make the transition from dock to kayak and back. When we returned the staff member greater us and assisted me out. Then my MIL had a flair up of back pain and was unable to get out of the kayak. He helped us and was absolutely patient and so kind during this. He did not rush us off the dock to serve the next customers. This experience alone gives this business 5 stars.. everything else was a bonus. Thank you BBM! I will certainly be back!! (And so will my MIL once she's healed again).

Now they have a visitor center now with walk-along fact outposts re: the delta and San Joaquin waterways. I learned a lot and there is so much to discover for kids with all the informational play areas. Novelty amenities. Bathrooms are clean. Big picnic area and fishing spot. Nicely tucked by the water so you get a fresh breeze, lots of birds, and trees. Lots of parking also but if you're able to walk from your home-- it's a nice quick walk. Love it here.

Most people never venture more than a mile off the Main Channel, but you'll be rewarded if you explore. We have a couple go-to spots that are never busy even on a 110 degree Saturday during the summer & always have prime glass for skiing. I've gotten sick after wiping out & swallowing a mouthful of water, so I recommend bringing a bottle of Pepto for said wipe outs. Gross? You betcha, but even with this yuck factor, I still love the Delta. People are super friendly out here- always saying hi & waving. I'm not sure why, but even the most callous, hardened jerks will begin smiling once the boat is cruising along & the breeze is whipping through their hair. I think it's because the Delta has magical qualities :)

I did notice there was not an attendant on site when I arrived but there was one when I left. Spent half the day here. Enjoyed a beautiful picnic with a friend while soaking up the sun. Water is a little cold and the CA coast guard is just up the street. I saw several people camping and others jumping in the water. Wish I could bring my fur babies but it was a very clean park when I visited.

(The last time we launched here, he was getting arrested.) He was very rude to other patrons as we stood in disbelief at his anger. Then the next thing you know, he is flying by on a motorcycle. The weeds are growing out of control and they place is looking run down. It seems their maintenance person is no longer there and it shows. We do however enjoy the gentleman in the store when we come on a weekend. It is too bad this place is falling apart.
