Just left, after what I can only be describe as a disaster.
We ordered by the recommendation of the hostess. Myself pasta with tomato, cheese and prawns, my boyfriend the fresh fish by the kilo for one person.
Service from the start was very slow as it seemed there was only one member of staff that was experienced.
We then waited a long time for the wine that we had ordered to arrive.
My boyfriends main arrived (which was totally full of scales and more bone than fish), about 15 minutes later I was still waiting for mine. We called the waiter over and he went to check. The hostess then brought over a pasta dish that I hadn't order about 5 mins later. We expressed how unhappy we were with the service and she couldn't understand what our problem was, and was very rude and dismissive.
We then sat for a further ten minutes or more waiting for the correct dish to arrive, by that point we were both so angry that we no longer wanted to stay at the restaurant to finish our meal.
When the pasta finally did arrive we sent it back and said that we didn't want it anymore it had taken too long.
The hostess then slapped the bill down in front of us and expected us to pay 55 euro. When we called her over to explain we were not happy to pay that amount, she said "you don't pay for the pasta". But the entire experience had been uncomfortable and rude. We also saw her talking about us to another table, shaking her head in disgust.
While this was happening another table were also complaining about their food. They said that they felt their fish was frozen!!!!
My boyfriend went over to the desk to try and reason with the hostess but unfortunately that failed and she completely lost her temper and shouted at him that she wanted his documents and he could leave without paying.
We left rather shaken by our experience. We have never left a restaurant without paying. We also wanted to pay something towards the bill. But after the treatment we received they didn't deserve a penny. May I add that all of the bad service came from the hostess. The other staff were very apologetic. She never once offered an apology. She actually thought we were in the wrong.
Sadly we stumbled across this restaurant and hadn't checked the reviews beforehand. If we had have done, we would have seen the restaurant has ongoing issues because every recent review is terrible.
Don't waste your time or ruin your holiday by going here. Terrible experience from start to finish. read more
