Came in for a pedicure. Nail tech asked if I wanted my toenails clipped. I said yes. I have one toenail that grows at a weird angle. You would think as a nail tech you would notice and cut it correctly. No. He cut it crooked. Now I'm going to Miami with my toes looking stupid as hell. The solution provided was to file it straight. Which would of been a solution if he hadn't cut it so short. Also did not remove any calluses...barely scrubbed the bottom of my foot but wanted to brush all up my legs. For what. I have no idea but it hurt and I told him to stop. Won't be back. I will say although I had a bad experience my friend loves it there. read more

I visited the salon before heading out on vacation. I asked for the price for french mani pedi, then confirmed we were talking gel nails and was told yes. When the technician went to do my toes and did not use the light, I said I was supposed to get gel nails. She checked with Vicky and she said, no, it was $15 more. The tech said she put extra top coat on, so it would last two months. One week later, it was half chipped off. So disappointed that Vicky didn't stand behind the quote. I was very disappointed in both the mani and the pedi. I won't be back. I'll be returning to professional nails on Plainfield. Don't know why I ever tried somewhere else. read more

I was here a few times last summer due to the fact that it's pretty close to where I live. Overall, it was an ok experience. I never scheduled an appt. for my pedicures; just walk-in. I didn't have to wait over 5 minutes, which was nice. The quality of the pedicure was good. I added the sugar scrub to mine each time. Regular nail polish with clear top coat that lasted longer than I thought it would. I was asked if I had an ingrown toenail in not a very nice way. I never have nor do I. I thought that was kind of strange, but I think they charge more if you do. Then I preceeded to stare at my toe when I got home wondering why she even asked me that.... I thought the salon workers could be a little more friendly and this is the reason for the 3 stars. Not very talkative besides to each other in a language I couldn't understand, which is fine, but I can't get into the conversation. It just felt a little awkward. No attempt at any conversation really at all. I'll try other places in the area in the future. read more

Wanted to like it! First time going here and never going back. Terrible customer service. Probably the worst I have seen. Sadly from the owner! At first I thought this seems like a good salon. Maybe one that I could go to from now on, as it's a good location to work and home. First I walked in and asked if there was a wait or if they had time to do my Nails. The owner said no wait at all pointed me to where to sit. And then as I was getting my nails done she was doing a good job and asking about where I usually go etc.. and then all of a sudden after she took off my nail polish and glued in my acrylics another customer had walked in. I was there for about 10 min already, and she says hi to that customer and talks to her and then looks at me and says did you make an appointment? She did and looks at her and says sorry to her that she's doing my nails ( clearly if I asked if they had time for me or if there was a wait-that would of been pretty clear I didn't have an appointment) I said who me? No I just signed in. And she said oh next time you call ahead and make an appointment that girl had an appointment? I said oh okay..( kind of shocked as the way she was speaking to me) and she keeps talking to that other customer and the other customer goes on to saying how she's sorry she's so late ( 20 min or so passed her "appointment") and how she was cleaning with her husband and then she saw the owner calling her to see where she was at.... and she just says it's ok and to sit down and she'll get to her in two seconds... so after she glues my nails in and cuts them a little she stops doing my nails and goes over and takes the other customer nail polish off, and doesn't even say anything to me! I'm like what? Haha what is happening? Am I done? .. so I wait and be patient 5/10 min or so then she comes back to literally rush to get my nails done a little bit into it I look at my phone and she has the nerve to ask me oh is someone waiting for you? As if I am being the rude one by looking at my phone... I ask after she files my nails ok so I go wash now as dust is ALL over and she goes no! And puts the polish on my nails !! Haha I'm like what is happening?? Is this real how low class this establishment is? it's just unacceptable to how an OWNER would treat a customer. I went here with my sister while visiting family in Michigan, and the service was really great from both Vicky and her husband. My sister scheduled appointments for us to have pedicures (my fave) and manicures, and we were led right to the pedicure stations when we arrived. The massage chair during the pedicure was amazing and helped work out the kinks in my back while Vicky's husband massaged my feet and painted my nails. Vicky helped my sister with a nail problem she was experiencing, and the difference she made in just that one visit was incredible. Next time I'm in the GR area, I plan on going back to Vicky's. read more

Went in October with my mom. We made an appointment but it didn't really mean anything. My toes were started on right away but my mom had to wait like 20 mins. I had a male worker and he did a great job. But he really didn't talk to me, I just watched the TV that was playing. He hurt one of my big toes, cutting out the cuticle. And it seemed like my callus' were not worked on enough. My mom and I both got french tips on our fingers and had to use the u-v light thing. They lasted a lot longer than I thought they would! They like like to talk in a different langue tho, I don't mind it but some times it gets to loud. From the last time i was there (6 years) they remodeled and its nice, just seems more cluttered. But fancy and neat. They have two small fairy chairs for kids and I thought those were the best. Only took about an hour for us two and only costed 120-140 with the tips. read more
