In May 2012, I ordered a pastel portrait from Leah for my mom. Our family cat, whom we cherished…read morefor 17 years, had recently passed away from cancer and my mom was having a hard time with it. My sister and I wanted to do something special for her so I decided to have a portrait painted. After a quick Google search I stumbled upon Leah's website. After reading the reviews I decided to contact Leah. She was prompt, professional and very helpful. I told her a little about Snowy, what he meant to our family and attached a number of photos. She selected the photo she thought was best and set to work on the painting. If I recall correctly, we were under a fairly close deadline but Leah assured me that she could get the painting to me in time. She finished the artwork and sent me the proof. My sister and I approved it instantly and she shipped the finished product promptly. The product was even better than we could have imagined and we have been throughly pleased. We took the paining to a professional frame shop and the owner there advised on the proper way to frame it. We've had the artwork for a years now and it's held up great. It hangs in a very sunny room that gets daily sunlight and it hasn't faded or otherwise diminished in any way. We paid a couple hundred bucks for the artwork plus shipping and I can say it was money well spent. I will definitely keep Leah in mind when I decide to have my current furry babies immortalized.

The whole process took less then 10 days.I wasn't sure about which photo to use, so we looked at many film and digital photos and finally agreed on one that would work , although it was a little blurred. She took that somewhat blurry picture and created a beautiful portrait that captured my son's sunny personality and happy spirit. Leah sent me mock ups and a few background options. I appreciated how she kept me informed during the process. Leah Knecht is very talented and professional and I highly recommend her. My son is growing up fast but Leah has managed to capture for me my baby boys excitement at being with family and out of doors on holiday. I will always treasure this.THANK YOU LEAH!

I was stopped at a street light, and there…read moreto my right, up on a self propped plank and ladder system was Brian maticulously repainting a sign for a business whose logo had been vandalized the night before by graffiti yielding property destroyers.. At the time, I was thinking about having some of my store signage redone, and figured, based on being impressed with the work he had done thus far in covering the graffiti, asked for his contact info.. Within a week Brian and I had already discussed numerous ideas on how to best proceed with my ideas for new signage, as well as updating our previous signs.. Brian is willing to try and make any idea come to fruition.. A solid creative collaborator.. Brian has a repertoire of brilliant murals and school mascot logos that he has done, everything free hand.. I was really impressed.. Ask to his his portfolio of work when you meet him.. You'll be impressed just as I was.. Brian and I put together a deal and within a matter of days, Brian had completed 4 hand painted signs with varying sizes around 4' by 8', as well as a retouch of the main store logo I have painted on the side of my building.. Upon his quick and professional work completion, we were thrilled!!! The work is wonderful.. You can tell he truly cares about his craft.. Thank you, Brian!! Brian is our guy moving forward whenever it comes to painted signage that really pops and stands out.. A++ and very much recommended.. ps. I wish I could post some photos to show the quality of the work he did for us.. But alas, I can't.. lol..

Aaron created bespoke artwork for us that celebrate our heritage in macadamias, that was created into a mural, merchandise, and expanded also into community events in Hilo as well as Honolulu to celebrate our partnership. Mauna Loa is the heritage macadamia brand from Hawai'i, and it was an honor for us to work with Aaron to give back to the community that we are both a part of. Aaron is from Hilo, and worked with the local schools that he went to- Kamehameha Schools in creating the mural. We threw a Mauna Loa x Aaron Kai community event that was extremely well received, and our staff have commented on how the mural has lifted morale at the plant, as it is such a beautiful piece that everyone sees on their way to work. Aaron is a pleasure to work with, professional, and has become a friend personally since the completion of our project. We hope to work closely with him again in the future.
