Here's a suggestion, walk around the corner, there's a place called Anoki, get a table there. Yes, it'll cost you 5 pounds more, you'll walk out a happier person.
They've got this section on the menu called "Desi style"; funny phrase to read, because usually, that implies a less than moral way to doing things. If you have any Indian friends, ask them, and you'll get an animated response. I think they were trying to find fancy words to describe "authentic", and what they've found is 'substandard'. I had the chicken tikkas to start with and the lamb as a main course. Bad, bad and bad.
They offer a 40% discount if you get take out, but so does Anoki. In fact, Anoki offers an additional 20% discount if you ask the fellow writing the bill where he's from and what his hopes and dreams are about expanding the restaurant.
