Ok so first of all, the information on YELP says this location is closed on Friday. This is clearly…read morenot accurate as there are patients currently being assisted in this location. I suggest someone double check this so the correct hours are available. This morning I was scheduled for a deep clean, descaling. Not the most exciting, but if you know me I was bright eyed and bushy tailed during the whole experience. The wait was a little long. Appointment was at 9, taken in about 9:07, and hygienist (Tina) started procedure at about 9:25. The whole procedure only took about 30 minutes. This was very surprising to me. I have (not proudly) had this procedure a couple other times and both times it was almost 90 minutes. Maybe my teeth had more issues? I don't know..anyway the right of my face is totally numb but my tongue is not, so props to Tina for that. I do have to say however that the audible sighing while the work was being done was noticeable. I know my teeth need work, it kind of non-verbally expresses this. Also calling a tooth #31? Definitely necessary if passing info to a Dentist, but working in the medical field myself using work jargon with patients is usually not best practice. Anyway much quicker than expected and overall very positive experience.

Dr. Hsieh has been this Orthodontist to me. I initially had 5 baby teeth still in my mid-twenties, when I got those removed right before having my braces put on, I had teeth in wrong places and odd spaces from the adult teeth growing in and being pushed upward because there was no room for them where they should have been. Dr. Hsieh was very clear and straight-forward about the cost, the insurance needs/information, the process, timeframes and was always open to any questions or concerns I had in the start and along the way. He is very easy to contact and communicate with and tries his best to be as accommodating as he can with my schedule, which was a huge help. He communicated via phone with texting, which was very convenient for me. He sends out appointment reminders to your phone with advance notice prior to your appointment in case you need to reschedule, you have time to let him know. If I ever had urgent questions or concerns and reached out to him, he responds very quickly. As far as the appointments themselves, his office is always very neat and clean and I can tell that he takes cleanliness and safety procedures seriously. It is more of a smaller and minimalistic office, which I liked because there was never a lot of background noises happening around you, such as other procedures going on. I had my braces on for over 2 years, with Dr. Hsieh being my Orthodontist the whole way, and he always informed me of what he will be doing, what I needed to do, any issues he noticed (teeth needing cleaned, cavities, gum swelling, etc.) going above and beyond just my braces. I have a latex allergy and he was always very mindful to that with any tools or gloves he was using, and always made sure that I was being given non-latex rubber bands. He would also always provide me extra rubber bands, band applicators, wax, and flossing wands if I needed them. If I had anything break or come loose, he was always able to get me in for an appointment soon after. He is very mindful and careful with what he needs to do and makes sure to always check that his patients are feeling as comfortable as possible during/after their appointments. He takes his work seriously, but is also friendly and humorous too, which is always pleasant to have with any provider. The location is great as well, extremely close walking distance from the Orenco MAX line, and plenty of parking across the street from his office in Hillsboro. I have gotten my braces taken off recently and am very happy with the results, I love my teeth now and am no longer afraid to smile! I have already recommended one of my best friends to Dr. Hsieh and would recommend others as well who are looking for a good Orthodontist. One of them actually made my teeth worse! But when I first went to see Dr. Phillips in 2003 when I was only 10 years old, I knew that it was going to be a different experience right off the bat. They were kind, patient, careful, quick, efficient, gentle, and honestly some of the best people you'll ever meet. I was eventually given headgear, a full mouth of braces, retainers, and had to have some teeth pulled. It was hard and it took a long time to fix my overbite, crowded mouth, and crooked teeth, but after everything, I can honestly say that Dr. Phillips and his team are the ONLY ones that I would ever trust to be my Orthodontist. Dr. Edward Pham knew exactly how to get Leo to be at ease and make a dental visit fun and exciting. Going to the dentist can be scary for the first time, but Leo really loved it. Dr. Hai Pham is an incredible doctor as well. He cares so deeply about his friends, family, patients, and employees. This family goes above and beyond and we're lucky to have little Leo going to their clinic. Front desk staff was kind and timely. The lobby is sweet and engaging and had The Good Dinosaur playing (which is such a sweet movie). Their display of how much sugar goes into common snacks and drinks was good to see and shocking to see how much sugar many of us give to our kids without knowing it.
