Resident's happiness and safety is first priority. Just like any nursing home, all resident is unique and different; and are cared for by the facility. The Gables provides superior therapy options and church services, the food isn't bland and has wonderful flavors. Laundry services and housekeeping is available, and the staff does wonderful job keeping rooms clean and well kept. Even will gladly sew clothes back together, with resident permission. The Gables have a hair salon with an outstanding stylist, and provides many different activities and outings. Family and residents have full access to a kitchen area placed in Long Term and Special Unit. Beautiful fenced in backyard with amazing landscape for residents to explore and get fresh air. During pandemic, the gables maintain safe distancing and still provide activities for the resident to enjoy and interact. Gables support all culture and talent; the facility takes time to learn about each resident and their families. They do have a special care facility for resident that need extra love and attention, with well train staff. Long term unit, is for resdident that choosed to live at the Gables, and grow bigger bonds with all staff. Skilled is the Gables Rehab Center, the Skilled unit is where residents are recovering from surgery and/or waiting for a permanent room to be open. Gables works over and beyond to provide the best care needed for their residents and the families involved with the resident! Residents are treated as VIPs at all times. My father was going to stay there for two weeks to recover from major back surgery. Upon our arrival, the staff was unorganized, the orientation was rushed, and it became quickly (and frighteningly) apparent that no one was even slightly familiar with his case, nor were they receptive to our suggestions for his care or our warnings as to what he would need in light of his present condition. Within four hours of his admission, he'd already fallen and spent an hour on the floor, waiting for someone to check on him. (This someone ended up being another family member, not staff.) After that, we had a family member stay in the room 24/7 to act as a safeguard and advocate until we could get him out of there, which we did within 32 hours. Again, this may not be typical of what usually goes on at the Gables, but our family was not going to take any chances. I'd suggest you investigate the facility and its protocols thoroughly before admitting a loved one and, if you do decide to use them, make sure well in advance that the staff has actually read the patient's medical file.

The trusth is, I was so concerned with viaquest Im hoping my review helps someone in the future. Started going to viaquest a year ago for chronic pain. Where to begin. My therapist quit. Had never been to a place where my docotor just left. I made the doctor who perscribes me medicine to promise not to do the same thing, half joking, but he left as well, no notice, just moved to another state without telling his patients. Last docotr did not know my name or care. Most concerning part...twice theyre receptionist called me and left apointment times on my voicemail. Both times, I show up at the doctors office at the times she said (granted my apointments are three months in between, so I assume Ill just take her word for it). Show up at 730 like the voicemail reminded me, but my apointment was at 630. I missed my apointment twice beacuse of this...and the when I brought this up, the receptionist aka office manager (who was perfectly nice), automatically responded by saying "do you just want me to discontinue your services?" Place makes me feel like Im in LALA land, but I dont have this much trouble figuring things out anywhere else...so it must be viaquest. Luckily, I have been waiting to see another physician for months, and see him today. Best to avoid, way too much chaos for someone to be handeling your precious health! Sorry viaquest. You have good intentions, but people dont deserve this.
