My boyfriend ordered flowers for me for Valentine's Day to be delivered at my job. As luck would have it, I didn't end up going into work that day. He called to try to have the delivery address changed last second but the flowers had already been delivered. I planned to pick them up later in the morning, but as I was warming up my car they were delivered to my door. An employee was kind enough to go back and get the flowers from my job and bring them to my home on what is likely one of their busiest days all year. I am so aggravated with Viale's as they wasted about an hour of my time. I needed flowers delivered to Becket, and called Berkshire Medical Center for a recommendation. It's a hospital, so they know local places, and my stepfather is a doctor there... I figured this would be a good place to call. They told me Viale's, so I went online the night before, and placed an order for next-day delivery. The next morning, I received a call from Viale's saying they don't deliver to Becket. Fine, you can deliver anywhere you want, but don't allow your website to accept that address and zip code if you don't deliver to that town!!!! The woman who called gave me the name of a florist in Great Barrington who "delivers to Becket". I was driving. In Boston traffic, no less, so imagine my mood? I called the Great Barrington florist which is in the complete opposite direction, and told them Viale's told me to call them. They don't deliver to Becket either! Seriously?? I pulled over, did a Google search, and came up with Kremp's florist (in PA) who works with an affiliate out there. Lo and behold, they delivered within 4 hours. Anyhow, moral of the story: just because a website leads you to believe it delivers somewhere and accepts your order, it doesn't necessarily go there. So happy to have found a florist who responded quickly to my request and exceeded expectations. I live in Boston and wanted to send flowers to my mother. I ordered on line. I picked a bouquet with tulips. I received a call from the florist saying they don't have tulips. Ok fine. She said that she could do an arrangement for the same amount. Great. What my mother received was something a child could have put together. It looks like they went out to the back yard and picked flowers. That or the just threw whatever they had lying around in a vase. They weren't even placed in nicely. I was very disappointed with the Funeral Arrangement I ordered from Viale's for a mother of my sons girlfriend. The arrangement looked like I went out a picked wild flowers and very sparring. For the price I paid near $60 I thought I would have a beautiful arrangement. I also took the time during a snow storm to go to Viale's and talk about what I wanted and ended up being ashamed of the arrangement. read more

Bad price to value ratio For $100 I got 40 carnations and bunch of greens in a spray sized about 4X2 feet.Florist told me "will make it nice and full", and it would looked nice and full with double the number of flowers. Considering carnations cost 50 cents a piece retail, it still would left nice chunk of change for the business. Not to mention returning customer. read more

I ordered flowers from this florist for a funeral./wake. I thought all was well..it is 2 hours from my home and I sent a nice arrangement of flowers($112.25) because I had another wake to attend the same night in my town. I told them that I wanted something that the family could take home, not your typical funereal arrangement. My sister took the 2 hour ride up to attend the wake and told me there were no flowers there from us. I called the florist the following Monday and I was told, "oh no, those were delivered on Friday at 11:30AM" My reply was, hm mm that's funny, I never ordered them until 1:30PM.....She (the owner) quickly changed her story to say she made a mistake, the flowers were delivered at 2PM. She then told me that she would check with the funeral director and call me back. 2 days later, no phone call. I called her back and was told, that the flowers were delivered and the funeral director confirmed that. I asked her how she knew that since the cards were given to the family? She said she described them to him and he confirmed. I then called the funeral director and he said he could never confirm that since he does not read the cards. He said that she asked him to describe the flowers he still had and she told him that one of them was hers. I called my friend(whose sister died)and she said they had no card from me and she never saw the flowers. I called back the florist and was told that it is my problem, not hers.... My last phone call she told me the problem she had with me , was that I never gave her the benefit of doubt. What doubt, there were no flowers! I am out over $100.00 and now have to order something and pay more so my friend does not think I do not care! DO NOT GO TO THIS FLORIST!!!!!!! read more
