These people shouldn't even be in the Flower Delivery business. They called me saying my mother was upset with the delivery when I had purchased a Delivery for Mothers Day. They Didn't hand deliver them to my 75 year old mother. They left them on the bottom floor of her apartment and when my mother called to say she was upset, they called me to tell me I'm on the banned List. I asked the Manager please don't I've been order from the Flower Factory for 5 years who use your business for that area. He didn't want to hear it and said he's to busy to be dealing with this. First off, How are you to busy for paying customers? Second, Deliver your product properly to the customer and you wouldn't have that issue!! Finally, If you're to busy to where you make mistakes and blame your mistakes on your paying customers...YOU SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS! Your excuses are lame. Figure it out. Ordered an flower arrangement for my love one's funeral through Avas Flower because I'm on bedrest. Therefore, I could not attend. Avas Flower contracted or hired Bountiful Blooms to complete the order. I ordered a large white sympathy standing arrangement. What was delivered was a scanty mangy half dead arrangement. So, not only was I hurting from the lost of a love one and not being able to attend, I was embarrassed courtesy of Bountiful Blooms to say the least. I contacted the Avas Flower same day of delivery via their complaint form, which advised someone will contact me shortly (I also disclosed on the form that the funeral started at 9am the next morning). Well no one contacted me back until the next day around 10am. The resolutions they offered were to redeliver a new arrangement (how could that happen when the funeral had started). Then they offered $20 refund (completely unacceptable), which turned into 50% (still unacceptable). Finally, they offered a full refund, but they had to get the arrangement back. Again I explained, the funeral had started and it would be rude to interrupt a funeral. Plus, I couldn't verify the location of the arrangement. The manager said well 50% is all they can do, unacceptable. I asked for the florist info because they delivered this mockery. The manager refused. I told her I would get the information (I did) and I will be filing complaints with BBB and any other consumer's report to prevent consumers from going through what I went through. read more

My mother recommended this florist while planning our wedding back in 2007. I have nothing but positive reviews. My wedding anniversary is on all days right on Mother's day, (who would have thought?!?!), and I still have nothing but fond memories working with the owner here. For my wedding bouquet - I brought in some loose orchids to show the samples we were working with, and asked the owner to make something that could work - and he did a great job using flowers from both HI and NY!! He did such a great job for my bridesmaids! For their bouquets - I did a simple white gardenia surrounded with baby's breath. Price wise, cannot say we overpaid - we felt we paid a fair price for what we were wanting, and the time he was utilizing to customizing our order. So no complaints. (Yes, I still remember this florist 6 years later - THAT's something to consider!) From what I recall about the owner: Extremely knowledgable and friendly! Yes the shop does look a little cramped, but most customers end up ordering over the phone versus going in person these days. ---------------------------------------- Update: 9 May 2013 So I called the shop last night to request a custom order, Gardenias and Orchids (flowers used in the bouquets) for my mom. This morning I called back to follow up, and get the order all set. The lady who answered very nice, and after conversing with her said I would need to speak with the owner (Brian). Brian gets on the phone and, sadly enough - apparently everyone else wanted Gardenias in the region because there NONE in the area! Slight bummer factor, but I know he did his best so cannot be upset about that. And he had no problem doing the custom order despite Mother's day being right around the corner! So I'm VERY pleased with that! Price? VERY REASONABLE! I mean - he wasn't charging any more than the websites are charging for the arrangements! To boot I even threw in a another order request for my Grandmother since she will be heading over there this upcoming weekend, and he had no problem getting that done either! I had the worst experience ever with this florist today. I bought flowers for a funeral. I bought it through an 800 number. This time they picked this florist. Last week my step mom passed. I used the same company to buy her flowers. They used another florist. They were amazing. So this funeral I can not be at but for $150 dollars I wanted to see what I bought. At 10am someone was at the funeral home and they took a picture of my flowers. It looked like a Charlie Brown tree. The heart arrangement did not look anything like what I ordered. I was soooo upset. I wanted these to be special. I believe I was taking advantage of. The dod not have the flowers that was supposed to be on it. So they simply thought not to put any other in its place. I find that amazing. It is a funeral. It is not like I can replace it. No different then a wedding. They went and picked up the flowers from the funeral home. I called this florist. He said he was going to go pick them up since he was not going to be paid by the 800 flower company. A company does wrong and does not even try to make up for it. This was an all afternoon fight. I called the 800 company and said I need flowers. Please call the other florist and see what they could do for me. And yes they were able to help me. I have a lot of older people in my family. And I love flowers. The owner acted like I wanted something for free. You do a service, you do it right. And then you do not act mean to the person that was your customer. I even said I would put it on social media. I never knew anyone that would not try to fix the situation that was in business. This was supposed to be covered with flowers. There were 3 sizes. The top 2 sizes had roses. I paid for the biggest one. This would be fine if I am paying $75. Not $160. But my business does not matter to this business owner. I really should've written a review years ago the first time my husband ordered flowers for me from Bountiful Blooms as I was so impressed with that arrangement, but this most recent one for our 10th anniversary was just amazing, motivating me to sit down and finally write a Yelp review. My husband ordered a dozen nearly pink (my favorite) roses and added 10 dark red gerbera daisies which we had as our wedding flowers (one for every year we've been married). I'm a cheapskate, so I have told him not to order flowers for me many times over the years. I told him if he insists, to pick up a $13-15 bouquet from the grocery store. He has done that and I've had some pretty arrangements of sometimes rather random flowers that I'd have to cut and arrange myself. The flowers might last more than a few days if I was really lucky. He tried to skimp a bit and ordered from 1-800 flowers when they offered a special last year - these were a disaster. I received a box from UPS of nearly frozen gerbera daisies that were beaten up and in spite of plastic casing around the stems, half of them had a permanent droop and were unusable. I will neither suggest skipping or skimping ever again. If there is an occasion worthy of a beautiful arrangement of flowers, my husband and I are Bountiful Blooms devotees. My anniversary flowers arrived mid-morning and were absolutely glorious. The gerberas stood bold and strong for over a WEEK before even a sign of withering. The roses arrived just blooming and were fully open and so succulent throughout the week. It is day 11 today.. I finally had to toss the gerberas today (ok, they could've gone yesterday, but I was busy), but I couldn't throw away the roses just yet. I've moved them to a smaller vase with a few of the filler fern pieces. They are still just that pretty. I ordered flowers some time ago from a national website, that gave the offer to select a local florist who would make their arrangement, and then deliver. I was quite happy with the delivery over a year ago. When it came time to send flowers this year, I went directly to their website. I ordered a bouquet for delivery about two weeks in advance of the date. It arrived on the correct date, promptly at 10am, in a snowstorm, and was absolutely perfect. The bouquet exceeded my expectations with the intricate additions of greenery around the flowers, and it even smells great - the whole living room smells of fresh flowers. If you need a bouquet - shop here first. They deliver to Albany, so I am guessing they have a pretty wide range (about 20-25 min to Albany not counting the blizzard conditions that day). My confirmation email was sent and I was happy until I realized that my order had been delivered to the neighbors house next door without even a phone call until hours later. I will preface this by saying I hate buying flowers over the internet or phone... the photos online don't always match what you're ordering (time of year/availability etc...) and who knows what you're really going to get. With that said, I called about 20 minutes before closing asking if they delivered to St Peters Hospital and the woman who answered the phone was an absolute delight. She answered all my questions and put together a bouquet that had lots of different types of flowers and lots of color. My mother received the flowers the following morning and was beyond thrilled. The entire time she was in the hospital every nurse that came in the room told her they were THE nicest arrangement on the entire floor.
