Really an ideal location for a park! Plenty of parking whether you park in the lot or along the road. It gets quite busy as a number of kids extracurricular activities happen here on evenings and over the weekend. I like coming here to walk with our pup, as there's plenty of grass and space to sniff. Some other dogs we see are off leash, but most people we see are good about keeping their dogs on leash. There are plenty of trees along the park, and a cute path that leads to the neighborhood further up the street. Also, the grounds are kept quite clean, and I seldom see any litter on the ground. Definitely appreciate people keeping our local park clean!

Two tiny picnic tables are under a partly shaded canopy. Benches are dispersed throughout. When we went, there were ample porta-potties and portable hand-wash basins just outside the fences, and there are permanent bathrooms at the tennis courts nearby. Besides the fenced-in playground, there's a larger park with ample grassy areas, tennis courts, a baseball field, I think a soccer field, picnic tables with barbecue (BBQ) pits, and a small pond with a walking path around it. There's ample parking for cars and a couple of bike racks too. If you choose to give a thumbs-up or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

What made me want to visit is the fact that it's in a forest of trees! I admit however, it was a bit odd that when I arrived, the "forrest" was about 1 block long. It's literally a bunch of trees in the middle of suburbia which I'm not complaining about, but it just caught me off guard. For those that need or want shade, this is the perfect place. More shaded areas in this playground than I've ever been to at any other spot. This place is littered with trees all super tall. Safety is all about access and the perimeter. The backside is surrounded by a tiny river. Frontside is surrounded by a wood fence which is quite fitting for the environment. Yes, there's a bathroom. Nice that the play structures are separated into a few play areas. This is good for separating children of different ages, but also keeps it from getting too crowded. Picnic benches too. Very nice "feel", that I can't quite explain that I've never felt at any other park. Truly a unique place. It may seem odd that the play structures are metal amidst nature, but the colors and design still go well with the environment. Funny that one of the play structures mimics a treehouse. Mulch everywhere which is great. Sand is so 1900's. Although parking wasn't tough, I think I got lucky. The street leading to this place is quite narrow. You'll find yourself taking turns w/folks coming towards you in the opposite direction b/c the street is just that narrow. This place is definitely worth visiting despite what could be a challenge with the parking situation.

Have had at least two incidents with entitled Karens like this, one of whom told ME to leave. Ah dah dah, was here first and also wait for it am not bothering other people or telling them to 'come pet my dog' like you. Some folk here are really irresponsible and just don't seem to be aware that this is an all-purpose grounds. Can't have some strange animal for example just coming up and invading a kid's soccer game. That wouldn't be good. If you have to keep on saying to people that your mutt is friendly then perhaps you need some reflection and a moment of skepticism there. Wouldn't say that a lot of the folk who go here are particularly friendly. Had an awkward guy come up asking about covid restrictions as if he was soap boxing or politicizing about something ...huh? Come on. This is just a park. However, yes, you do get a good view and there's volleyball, though not sure if you can just join or if there's a lesson arrangement or something, would happily do that. Until then, respect my walking and will do yours as well. Ugh, the Marin Karen Crazies just like to roll up in parks with dogs for some reason. Why they not trained? Is this some feminist ...dog whistle? Not quite sure what to really do here besides visit that cool @$$ dock.

In the summer the wild fennel bushes are prominent aligning the path and grow very tall. It's best to park at Village by the Macy's and walk across the street to the marsh or there is also a little parking lot at off the Redwood Highway on the way to Trader Joes that looks out on to a pond. There are really 2 parts, the north part is right across from the Village which you can do a loop and the southern part you need to walk a bit further and the path is an out and back. I feel this part is more for people that live in the houses right in the area and there is an entrance from Channel Ave and Echo Dr. The last time I went to the southern part, the bushes alongside the trail had out of control growth. It felt like you needed a machete to effectively go through and there was a creepy feeling that someone from Children of the Corn was hiding ready to jump out at you. Shorebird Marsh and Corte Madera Marsh State Marine Park I think are the same thing though there are 2 entries in Yelp.

It starts out as asphalt (and is completely flat and good for rollerblading though you must be careful not to skate into traffic or into the marsh) but then turns into a dirt path. The loops seems very popular for people walking their dogs. If you go towards the left, to the public shore area, you'll find two dirt paths that dead end (took 10 minutes to jog to the end of one from the parking lot). San Clemente Park, aka "French Park," has so much to offer! There's a sanded volleyball court, a…read morecovered picnic area, several soccer spaces, three play areas and a baseball field! We call this "French Park" because it is tucked behind the "French School" (Lycee Francais La Perouse). If you go during school hours, or just after school is let out, you will hear lots of French babble. Also, I've noticed that these kids run a little more wild than you would normally see at other play grounds. I think it's a cultural thing -- really! I've heard that in France, children are allowed to generally work out their differences on their own at play grounds... except when it comes to throwing sand. That's the only thing that is verboten, apparently. I'm not sure if it's because of the French influence, or that the children are being "minded" (or not, really) by nannies or parents who don't pay attention, but there is really a wilder edge here during the hours I mentioned. You will almost never see an adult step in if there's a little tiff or discord happening and... frankly... that's refreshing! The truly "public" playground has two play areas -- one for smalls, one for bigs. I love the use of wood and all sorts of balance-challenging features. The smalls area is fenced, the bigs is not. In addition, the school has its own separate play area with some really neat looking features, but I've never wandered in there. I'm guessing it's open to whomever when the school is closed. Another great feature is that French Park also has bathrooms and a water fountain! You can access the park by parking in a lot on Paradise Drive and walking across the soccer field / baseball area. Alternatively, and easier, you can turn onto Golden Hind and make a left just past the school into what looks like an abandoned, long driveway. That will take you to the parking area behind the school that provides immediate access to the playground.
