The Piccolo Pavilion itself it rather spacious and has its own built in benches. If you sit facing the hills its a quite relaxing and airy view. Because there are some cute smaller shops next door, it's a nice area to park and relax before or after shopping. No unleashed dogs or glass containers are allowed, but the parking is free.

Playground has been moved to the edge of the bird sanctuary -- apparently in the belief bringing closer the hollering and jumping six-year-olds will attract the birds to return. The playground was moved to a formerly grassy overlook of the bird sanctuary, and the grass was bulldozed under concrete walks and large spongy carpets (permanent) of blue-green, close shaven astro-turf (honest, come look for yourself). There were no birds today, but perhaps they haven't read the new sign or learned to appreciate six-year-olds on astro-turf. This is a small park - you wouldn't come here unless you live less than a mile away. The perimeter of it near the street give off very natural vibes - not man made concrete and straight walls. If you have a dog its important to go to different parks and let them sniff new areas. Maybe one reason to drive across town to get here.

Although we can't play social sports for the time-being, we can still go outside for a little R & R. Thanks God for Brickyard Park. This property (which is owned by the Strawberry Rec. Dept.) is a hidden beach, children's playground, picnic ground, all rolled into one. For me and my dog, it's our own private oasis. We'll walk here, sit on a bench, and soak in the sun and serene bayside views. It's a great spot to watch seals playing in the water and paddle boarders doing their thing with glorious Mt. Tam in the background. It's picture perfect. In challenging times like these, beautiful spots like Brickyard Park give me solace and hope. This place doesn't draw tons of visitors, nor does it exist to make money off admission or parking fees. It's just a lovely park whose sole purpose is to bring joy and peace to folks in the area. What's not to love about that? So if you're looking to commune with nature, type Brickyard Park into your GPS and reward yourself with some much needed moments of zen. You'll thank for me it later.

The playground is well-kept with two slides and a fun boat motif. There are two swings for children under 5. No dogs allowed. There is a surprisingly clean handicap accessible port-o-let (easy for a parent & child to go into together). The only real downside i can see is that the park is open to the waterway, with just a mini stone wall separating the playground with the beach. The kiddos listened and didn't go past the wall... but the wall certainly wouldn't have stopped them. Logistics: when driving to the park, you have to keep your eye out for a small walkway that heads down a cement path to the park. Not a far walk from the car!

Zelinsky Park is located behind the Tiburon Town Hall and Belvedere Tiburon library. It is a small…read morepatch of land next to the marsh, and it is on the trailhead to St. Hilary's Open Space. The park is named for Fred Zelinsky (1894-1982), a local real estate developer. His family donated the land on which the town hall and library is built on. The park utilizes the marsh as a viewing area fior the local wildlife and habitat. However i wish they had signs marking the the trail to the Open Space. I only found about about the trail after looking at the Tiburon walking trails map near Main Street. The marsh is next to a community of homes. To me, it us not a destination park n that I would go out of my way to visit. There are no other amenities there. It is a simple little park that makes great use of the marsh and its smallish amount of surrounding land.

Lo and behold, I had to adjust something on my ipod and fell into this little hushed park. Now, the north side of Greenbrae has many parks to offer its patrons, starting with Niven, Bon Air Landing, this one... The former is the largest with huge greens, and this one is provincial, sporting a few benches, a table for picnicing, and a bit of privacy or respite for bikers and strollers. Located directly next to the Coffee Roo yellow truck!

It's a lovely little park that you can detour into while on a walk, and a wonderful place for our pup to get in lots of sniffs and scenery. The drawback is that it is located right next to a homeless shelter, and unfortunately that place is very poorly managed. There are often residents from the shelter that will come to the park and drink or smoke, and just toss their trash on the ground. Also, beware as sometimes the residents from the shelter have their large, aggressive dogs off leash. As a former social worker, I understand that recovery is a delicate and complex path for these folks, and that not littering or the practice of "pack it in pack it out" is not high on their list of priorities. But, it's managements fault for not doing a better job of educating these folks, and letting them know that we all can continue to enjoy this space, if we all respect the space, use the trash cans provided at the front of the park, and keep dogs on leash.

This is a great neighborhood park and open area in the downtown part of Ross. We often encounter…read morefriendly people and dogs while here. Plenty of parking along the street, and sidewalk that runs along the roadside, or more paths interior to the park and rec buildings. There's also a sports park on one end. Our pup loves to walk here, as there's a good amount of shade, plenty of big trees to sniff the bases of, and plenty of cool, green grass to lie in after our walk.
