They're really good there I was in a waverunner accident and my hips and lower back were extremely messed up to say the least I think I was told by the doctors that I was hit as hard as a person could be hit without breaking their back or hips. But I have had a lot of pain relief with Via Family chiropractic. I've gone in there several times unable to stand up straight or even walk and I leave standing straight as an arrow without pain. I have been going to chiropractors for over 20 years and sadly, he is by far the least skilled I've experienced. He really doesn't do actual adjustments and seems to rely on just touching spots along the meridians without actually exerting himself. Thinking that he had to get to know my spine and issues, I explained what I felt I needed and gave him multiple tries but the treatments never improved. Found a much more skilled chiropractor who makes the effort to adjust what is clearly out of alignment. read more

When I first came to Via, I didn't buy into the whole chiropractic thing. Jonathan Via made me a believer. I had months old lower back pain and years old hip joint pain that I had visited several physical therapists for, and the best they offered were daily stretches and exercises that provided temporary solutions to a long term problem. Via actually FIXED me (or, as he would describe it, allowed my body to fix itself). Jonathan Via uses a low-impact style of chiropractics that is essentially painless, but has the same long-term results as other chiropractors. On top of phenomenal work, this family-run practice has a friendly, warm atmosphere that makes you feel good just being there (their littlest one is always on hand to give you a welcoming smile when you walk through the door). I cannot recommend their practice enough. Their prices are beyond reasonable: $50 for an initial screening, $20 for each additional visit, capped at $200 a month for a family (meaning any additional visits that month are FREE). Dr. Via is pretty friendly, but, well, he's kind of weird. He initially asked about my history, I explained the problem I was having, then mentioned in passing that my father-in-law is a Physical Therapist and that he had not been able to solve the problem I was having either (sacroiliac joint dysfunction). Somehow, from my saying that, he must have got the impression that I think PT is worthless and, to a certain extent, that my father-in-law is kind of stupid--neither of which is true. From then on, he'd frequently make wisecracks about modern medicine which I think he thought made him look smart. Really, in truth, he gave me the impression repeatedly of someone who lacks self-confidence trying to prove how qualified and smart they are. It just comes across poorly and has the opposite of the intended effect. The review by Hannah M. in the "not recommended" reviews was quite accurate (I don't understand why it's not recommended). Everything in it rings true. Especially with the "power of positive thinking" talk. It really got annoying to regularly hear, "THERE!! Did you feel that change?! YEEEAH!" as if I'd just had a really moving experience when really it felt little different. I quit going after several months when nothing actually improved with my sacroiliac joint. I put up with the weirdness and personality issues for a while hoping [against hope] that maybe he'd be able to help anyway, but eventually I had to face the music: he wasn't helping at all. First I want to say that Jonathon and his staff are incredibly caring and devoted to what they do. Their hearts are in the right place and I'm sure they will help many. That said, I didn't receive the experience I was looking for at this clinic. First of all, Jonathon is very into the "new agey" side of chiropractic medicine and he has an anti-general-medicine philosophy. The other practitioner who works there is also into "energy fields". This wouldn't even have bothered me as I was just looking for someone to fix my back. Initially, I hoped that Jonathon would be like a kung-fu master- someone with slightly questionable beliefs who can do freakishly impressive stuff. This didn't turn out to be the case for me. I received slight improvement in symptoms from both of the practitioners at this clinic after going for nearly a month. Originally I was told that I would see immense improvement in a few weeks. It quickly became evident that Jonathon didn't know what exactly what wrong with my back. Like a good professional, he referred me to the other practitioner working there who who did a deep-tissue massage type of treatment. He told me that he permanently pressed out scar tissue and I wouldn't have back spasms in the same place any more. That proved to be the case for one day- the next day they came back. In addition to the lack of back solutions, I was constantly annoyed by the "selling" of each procedure. Every time anyone did anything to my back at this clinic, they would exclaim "Oh wow! Can you feel that?! That feels sooo much better." In truth, I only felt that anything was different about 25% of the time and told them this. They seemed disappointed and confused by my truthfulness. During my last session here, where the scar tissue was pressed out, I was asked to perform a squat at the end of the session. I did so and received the customary "Oh wow! That's so much different! Look at that range of motion!" The kicker? I'd never previously been asked to perform a squat in that clinic- my range of motion had been that good for years. Last of all, I didn't like the vibe of the clinic. It's definitely a family clinic- there are kids books and TV shows playing all the time. However, the clinic also smells of weird cologne and numerous people are booked per hour. I constantly felt like my session was rushed and quite a few of my sessions were interrupted. This is because Jonathon is trying to see so many at one time, but it doesn't feel like good customer service whatsoever. I hope that the next chiropractor I go to will be more evidence-based and my sessions will be more personal/less rushed. read more

I had never been to a chiropractor before, but Via is a good one! I had back pain since I was in elementary school and went to doctors about it. All of them directed me to physical therapy which never actually made the pain subside. I went to Via for the first time a couple of months ago and my back was pain free without ibuprofen immediately following my appointment! I was truly amazed! read more

I really recommend Dr.Via. Let me tell you why I really believe in him. I had a lower back pain and it prevents me from walking properly. I went to multiple doctors and hospitals. They ran MRI, gave me tons of medicine but no results. The reason behind my lower back pain is a secret and the doctors still told me there is nothing happening to me. I was not that dump to know that what is happening to me. The truth is I can not walk more than 10 minutes, my back is so weak that I even can't push up, my legs are weak that I can't jump or run for more than 30 seconds. I felt so hopeless until one day I met an old lady suggesting me to find a chiropractor. She had back pain due to a car accident and no help from hospitals. That time she told me that once you have problem with spine alignment, no medicine can help but a chiropractor can. I searched on the Internet and found Via. He is funny and somebody can say that he is so proud of him being smart. But you know, all doctors in the hospital never recommend chiropractic because they don't believe in using right force can heal patients. They are so worried about chiropractors can take all their money. Dr.Via can tell what is happening with my back. That's the most important thing for a patient to know from a doctor. My spine is not aligned in its right position and 4 knots of it have been moving away. That's why I have heartburn, I can't eat well because of the narrowing throat. The back muscles are swollen so it prevents my legs from walking. Everything is explained to me right and clear. I am a PhD student but I think Dr.Via is really smart and makes a huge change for my life. You know when you don't feel good, you can't do anything else good. read more

I called my favorite chiropractor to schedule an appointment.....I will not being calling this chiropractor ever again!!!!! I was treated rudely and told that they could not see me for several reasons insurance being one of them... For the record I have always paid cash to this office (never billed my insurance), I was one of their first clients in the area, I helped Dr. Via's wife by answering questions she had regarding billing insurance companies. Several of my friends and I have been instrumental in helping this business grow in the human and animal community. I guess when you start making money there is no room for those that helped you get to where you are today. read more
