Always get a table, great food, great service, especially that amazing cinnamon stick dessert

Swung by Via 313 for lunch. It's a chain pizza spot with several locations in Houston and originating from Austin. This location is located in a plaza near Memorial City and adjacent to a few other restaurants. Plenty of parking out front in the combined lot. The interior is spacious and it's traditional sit down service. The service was slightly slow although friendly; we ordered some apps to start, namely the meatballs and artichokes. I didn't try any of the meatballs but I was not a fan of the artichokes roasted and put over marinara sauce. I got a small Caesar to start; unfortunately it was very standard iceberg and a bit strong / prepackaged Caesar dressing that came with it. We ordered the Detroiter and Cadillac in the small size and in Detroit style. These came out decent; it reminded me a bit of the old school deep dish Pizza Hut from eras past. The crust is a thick grandma style and pretty crisp. I personally preferred the standard pepperoni option over the fig and pig option; if they used thinner cut prosciutto instead of the meat they used, it would've been an upgrade to the pie. The sweet sauce underneath the ham was a bit too sweet and it would've been better to use slices of fresh or dried figs instead (imo). The dough came out pretty good. We also got a supreme bar pie which came out a bit underwhelming. Their thick granny style pies are definitely a step above their bar pie. Overall, it's a fun and casual pizza spot but there's much better pies at the same price point for a thin crust style. The apps and salad were a bit lacking as well, which is unfortunate as there are quite a few easy to make appetizer options for the fast casual Italian cuisine that is oh so popular at the moment. If you try them out, I would recommend the their Detroit style pies and the simple and classic topping options are the way to go.

A cute Detroit pizzeria opened March 8, 2024 (my bday) Houston Memorial City location in the Velvet Taco and Goode Co Seafood shopping strip. The location is visible from the Katy Freeway. There's ample parking in front. A hostess stand greets you in the entry foyer with friendly staff. There's a bar, booths, and high tables available for seating. Restroom is clean with a single toilet which is ADA compliant. First time visitors are rewarded a free appetizer or dessert. Gluten free crusts available and budget friendly lunch specials. Choice of 1 slice or 2 slices, 2 pizza choices, and 2 salad choices. I forgot to snap pics of pepperoni squares and the generous portion of cinnamon sticks.

What a surprise to find real Detroit style pizza in San Antonio. This location at the sound end of The Rim shopping center is worth visiting. Their famous Detroit style pizza takes about 30 minutes to cook so I highly recommend trying one of their appetizers. Our server, Sarah was a wonderful guide to the menu and aided in our selections. We started with the artichoke & goat cheese appetizer. Imagine warm bubble marinara with artichoke hearts, goat cheese and basil alongside crispy crostini. For our entree we decided to share a large Omnivore Detroit style pizza. The focaccia style crust was awesome tender soft bread with a slightly crisp bottom. Generous topping of cheese, sausage & pepperoni. There is a little bit of spice in the meats. We were only able to eat 2 slices each so we boxed up the remainder to take home. I already know this is one of those items that is gonna be awesome reheated the next day. We did get try the cinnamon sticks desert. Wow, it was warm, soft and delicious. Reminded me of warm beignets with cinnamon and powdered sugar. Very sweet. Take time to read the story of the restaurant. From Food Truck in Austin to a booming business. We were delighted to hear that there are more locations in San Antonio, Houston & their home base in Austin. I hope they expand and open a location on the east side of San Antonio or New Braunfels. They also have brunch on Sat & Sun with special brunch pizzas. Looks interesting and worth checking out soon.

Arugula Salad, Stooges BAR

My go-to Pizza is the Stooges Pie, it's literally the best pizza in the city. This last visit was the first time I tried a salad-- I got the Arugula salad and added goat cheese. Truly excellent. A great portion. My coworker and I split the pizza and salad and were stuffed to the brim. The order was ready on time but they forgot to include our drinks. We didn't realize until we got back to work so it was partially our own fault for not checking. Great restaurant! We are so happy one opened near our work at the Rim!

Trying the new Via313. I ordered their vegan pizza which was mid. I mean it tastes good and I liked the pizza dough. They put a lot of fresh garlic on top although I feel it could be cooked into the sauce. The service here was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so nice and on point! The interior was also very nice, retro diner type feel! So nice!! Open bar so you can enjoy drinks here with your meal! Overall, I would rate this place a 7.1. Not bad for a pizza joint. I'll need to try some of their other pizzas when I visit again. I also want to add that there is plenty of free parking in a huge lot.

I love this place. The service is always, ALWAYS top notch and more importantly, the food is always incredible. Their gluten free pizza, cheese bread, and desserts sticks are the best I've ever had. Run, don't walk, to this place (and order the Ambassador Bridge).

For those diehard fans that love truly taste in pizza in particular Detroit style pizza. This is the best place for Detroit style Pizza and it's not even in Detroit. It's in Texas. This location is Houston Texas management. Great DJ is one of the best guys if you have a problem, you can go to him. He resolves it. The staff is super friendly. They know you by name I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.

This new pizza place opened up near memorial city mall right next to Velvet Taco & I love pizza & got the chance to try this place at a work lunch. They specialize in deep dish pizza & if you like deep dish this is for you! Crispy crunchy edges & soft center bread very good! Our team tried the Margherita & the Pepperoni! The Margherita was delicious, enough sauce, basil, & fresh mozzarella definitely recommend The pepperoni is a bit different here it comes with sauce on the side so be prepared for that! It's different.. I prefer sauce on the pizza. So I preferred the Margherita. This place is new so interior is super clean, modern, quite spacious. Great for big groups, lots of seat options booth style & tables. Service was great, we ordered to go and everything was ready on time no issues. Very good & worth a try! Check them out!

Detriot and Bar style pizzas

I had a wonderful experience here! The food was spot on. The sauce was delicious, and the crust on both the Detroit style and Bar style pizzas were delicious. They are generous with the toppings unlike some other pizza joints. As a first time guest, they threw in the meatballs for free which was a nice touch. The meatballs were perfectly cooked; compliments to the chef. The ambiance was clean and spacious. The choice in music was interesting. The service was also good. The pizzas may take just a little longer than you expect so don't go in starving and thinking you'll get fast food. I highly recommend people to give this place a try.

I've been to every single Via 313 in the Texas region. I've most recently went to the location in Houston, Texas, and let me tell you what Will was our waiter and he did an excellent job. What a nice guy. Very personal and made sure Food came out in a very timely manner. We really enjoyed talking with him as well. He's doing a great job here via 313. Food: I said I've been to every single Via 313 and Texas and this is just like the rest of them. They're serving up top-notch Detroit style pizza. We got to have Detroit and the carnivore. Let me tell you what it was top-notch. My son and I devoured it. Also, they have the dessert which is absolutely amazing. Every single bite is full of flavor and very tasty. We love Via 313 so much we've actually even been to their location that they own in Colorado called blue pan pizza. This is how you know that I go out to eat way too much. My son and I were randomly eating in Denver, Colorado and we found blue pan pizza. I told my son Man this taste a lot like via 313. We started talking to the waiter and it turns out the investment group that bought via 313 also bought blue pan pizza. Let me tell you what you will not go wrong with Via 313 or blue pan pizza. They're the best in the game.

4 pieces + 1 soda, fed just me, $23

Cute. Casual. Convenient. Plenty of parking. Staff was friendly. Pizza tasted good but the crust was soggy rather than crispy, which I prefer for Detroit style but I got mine to go, so I'm not sure if that's perhaps why. I enjoyed it, would come back but not often, since 1 order of Detroit pizza which is 4 pieces, 2 toppings and a soda cost me $23. It's more of a pizza joint than restaurant, so the price was unexpected.

Got to try out this place as part of a soft opening thanks to my Yelp pal Justin T's invite. Very excited to try a Detroit style pizza and with Houston not having much of a Pizza scene I expected this to be a hit. The service was fantastic throughout, our server was very attentive and informative. Via even allows customization for vegan or nondairy options! The edges were crispy and the toppings tasted fresh which is all you can ask for. I've never tried this kind of pizza before and I almost want to say I really like a crunchier, fried texture crust. The restaurant had a very chill ambiance as well with a full bar. Definitely a sit down type of place (outdoor seating available as well) Got to try a cocktail as well, overall a great experience. *Very spacious parking lot right off I-10. Looking forward to trying this place out again soon!

We were warmly welcomed by our waiter, who seated us at a table with a lovely view of the river. We ordered the Funghi pizza to share between two people. The pizza was fresh, crispy, straight out of the oven, piping hot, and so delicious. I'd rate it an 8.5/10. The fresh mushrooms paired perfectly with the truffle, creating a rich and earthy flavor. The caramelized onions added just the right touch of sweetness, making the pizza perfectly balanced. This was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to revisit and try some of the other pizzas.

I ordered the Sweet Texas Heat pizza--white sauce, applewood smoked bacon, Calabrian pepper, fresh basil, hot honey. It sounds like a whole experience, right? Sweet, spicy, smoky... all the things. But it was not giving Texas... or heat. Biggest issue? Overcooked. And when thin crust is overcooked, it's a wrap. Dry, brittle, no life left in it. The pictures don't lie. Flavor-wise, I could tell there was potential in that combo, but I couldn't get past the dryness. Once that texture is off, the whole thing falls apart. And for $35? I was definitely left wanting. Now in all fairness--the side salad? Very, very good. Fresh, crisp, well done. But let's be honest... I wasn't paying $35 for a salad. I did see some great reviews, which is why I chose this spot, so don't let me be the final word. Try it for yourself. But me? I won't be back.

So let me preface this review with this...if you have ever been to Detroit there is a famous…read moreDetroit style pizza place called Buddys (or at least this is what I was told, I'm not from there lol)...we went to Detroit for an event and had buddys, we had the Detroiter and a Cesar salad and it was great, top 5 in my opinion of pizza I've ever eaten and that's saying a lot being from NY. Fast forward to my visit to Via 313 also a Detroit establishment serving pizza...and let me just say!! It is a must go!! The pizza was amazing (we had the detroiter again) and also the Cesar salad...our friends also had other various pizzas and they all highly enjoyed it. The service was awesome and the restaurant is clean and has a cool ambiance. It was my birthday so they gave me free cinnamon sticks with a cream cheese icing...Sooooo good!! Def a 5 star experience! We ordered the arugula salad with goat cheese, they being it the salad and say they were out of goat cheese, and I was okay with it. Then they come back and say, we did have gorgonzola. I was confused. So they put down the cheese and it's goat cheese. Anyway, the salad was incredible, but let's be real, the goat cheese makes ALL the difference. They were also out of my man's go-tos on tap. Which was a slight bummer for him. Service is always friendly and the restaurant is very cool, like escape the heat cool, with a chill vibe. I still love the heck out of this pizza!
