Since I'm new to the area, I wanted to explore the neighborhood, and when I saw their sign, I became curious. I wasn't sure if they operated like Goodwill or the Salvation Army, so I entered, hoping to learn more about what they do. Now, for context, I'm a 5'2" Asian female, carrying nothing but my sun hat--no bags or anything else. As I stepped inside, I noticed a bulletin board and took a moment to read the materials posted there. After that, I walked a few feet toward an area where people were sitting, seemingly waiting for their turn to enter the main floor to pick out clothes and household items. You could call it a reception or waiting area. As I stood there, simply observing the environment and the process, an older lady approached me and asked what I was doing there. I replied, "I'm just browsing." Then, out of nowhere, a younger staff member suddenly hollered at me from an inside office in a hostile tone, telling me I wasn't supposed to be there. I was shocked by this reaction. I was simply standing outside the main area, reading posted information and observing--nothing disruptive or inappropriate. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, the staff treated me with suspicion and unnecessary hostility for no valid reason. This kind of reaction seems completely out of place for a charity whose mission is to serve and assist the community. If they are so quick to act hostile toward someone who is just looking in, I can't help but wonder how they treat those who actually need their services. I hope Clothes Closet and Food Pantry of Orange Park reconsiders its approach to interacting with the public. A more welcoming and understanding attitude would be much more in line with their mission.

The animals are well taken care of, the people working there are so nice and helpful and booking a highland cow cuddling session was amazing. You can even stay on site if you want that real "outdoorsy" experience - but it's perfect even for a quick day trip. Can't wait to come back again!

Not only is the location a perfect portal to a different type of Florida , but the wagons are all the way in the back so it's perfect privacy. There's also a tent outside to sit and watch pigs take a bath in the fountain. The wagon room we got was the Piggies room! Perfect decor and amenities inside(towels/shampoo/conditioner/tissues/coffee mugs /even games!) Huge bathroom with incredible shower. There is ac but we spent most of the time with the screen door and bathroom window open & it felt great. Included inside:mini fridge, toaster, coffee/tea (included),microwave and a small heater. Plenty of plugs to charge & a full length mirror. We love that there was no tv because we got to watch highland cows instead !! We also got to sleep to rain and it was so peaceful especially waking up every morning to new friends like pigs and sheep! We also saw: 4 highland cows!! , 2 different types of pigs, a family of sheep (+Anya the sassiest girl), cats, dogs, goats, turkeys (that like hugs but scared meee), guinea fowls, chickens and hens, mini horses and a peacock that sounds like Kevin from UP in the nighttime !! All the staff were super friendly including miss Elaine! Truly an incredible place to visit and get to feed pigs all day.

We have a precious…read more(ShihTzu) little girl named Princess who desperately needed to be seen by a VET ASAP because I thought she was having a seizure & have bloodwork done due to something she got into. Frantically I called Gina & to my surprise she started making calls for me. Not only did she help find somewhere affordable to take Princess, but stayed in communication w/me the entire trip as well from beginning to end. Even during the VET'S actual visit, to ensure that we received excellent care @11pm at night. Which we did & Princess was able to come home with/a clean bill of health after the scariest night ever! Without Gina walking me through this, idk what I would have done. It's not often that you call a complete stranger & the person on the other end, ends up being an Angel! Gina words truly cannot express to you what you've done for our family. I will certainly not ever forget & will shout from the rooftops that there is certainly still hope for our pets through folks like YOU. P.s. Pretty sure you'll be wearing a cape when we finally meet! #petitforward #shihtzuluv #angelsindisguise
