After giving us a taste, we knew we were in for a treat! We arrived later in the day and had to stop to pick up a side somewhere else. Honestly, I could've just had the meat and been satisfied. But these were NOT those circumstances. Instead I found myself and a lot of other people who were seeking a similar experience pushed together tighter than the chickens at Tyson while those of us at the outside were incessantly henpecked by security guards for setting foot even an inch outside of a chalk line on the ground which sat a good ten feet from the handrails and the seating beyond. To make things worse one of the big discussions among people inside this "dance space" was whether it was safe to go relieve our bladders without being stuck out altogether, and indeed the way was blocked for those who didn't just hold it, and dancing was mainly curtailed altogether outside of this area even at the edges of the very wide aisles by more of the roving "security" force. Needless to say it was more difficult to feel the spirit and the anointing which normally come with singing and embodying this kind of music. And then of course the fact that I paid decent money for that experience makes it even more insulting to the Spirit of Jesus.. sadly I won't be going back!

Parking is hard to find and when you do it is a walk. Staff was helpful in directions in where to go since the eating area, judging, volunteering and registration were all in different areas of the building. The bathrooms were accessible and clean.

It was my first time visiting Trinity Health Arena for a Muskegon Risers (soccer) game recently…read more The tickets were pretty cheap and it was all open seating, so no assigned seats. We ended up near the cheering section, which was fun and lively. The arena itself is tiny, with only one level of seating and a small concourse with a couple concessions stands. This arena is interesting because it houses two different restaurants that have a view into the arena from inside the restaurant. So in theory you could just get a seat at one of those bars and watch the game without having to pay for tickets to go inside. We were able to find free street parking nearby, which was great. I'm not sure if they have a designated lot or parking garage. I only saw one restroom area inside the arena which was a bit of a walk from where we were sitting. The facility was clean, kind of smelly from all the guys playing soccer, but not too bad. The game itself was really fun, with high energy and some pretty competitive players. At the end of the game, everyone got to go out onto the field to chat with the coaches and players and I saw lots of little kids getting items signed by the players, which was cool. I'm glad we went and would go to another game in the future.

District 5 Schoolhouse gives you the freedom to do your own thing, which is certainly helpful when working with a budget. But they can definitely provide guidance and advice for first time wedding planners like us too - Sarah helped us figure some things out we hadn't even thought of. Another huge plus is their decor closet - table runners and signs and vases and stuff like that you're allowed to use that can save you hundreds of dollars! All I can say is that this beautiful location is a great value run by kind and thoughtful people who will work with you to have an event that fits your budget and needs. Highly recommended!

She was so easy to work with and made the whole process smooth. The chalkboards were so fun to decorate and really added to our decorations. The space was well cared for and maintained. The bell tower was a great spot to take pictures, but brace yourself for a climb! We especially appreciated the Pay it Forward decoration closet. There were so many decoration options and themes to choose from! It was a real help for us to have on hand so we could limit how many decorations we purchased/rented. We loved getting married here and would recommend it to anyone!
