As a go to, you can't go wrong with the Reuben. I had to look under the buttery marble rye to convince myself that there wasn't bacon on it, but dang it's the so smoky and crisp pastrami that will fool you too. Honestly, tonight I ventured off the Reuben for the first time, BUT word was, from the local next to me munching on the Cubano that he calls da' bomb, he told me the cheesesteak is right in line with the rest of the offerings. Verdict: I don't know if the chef is a beer drinker but he plates a beer drinkers meal. First bite of the cheesesteak was a little bready, and I started thinking I should have stuck with the staples. Second bite changed everything. I'm not going into the gooey, orgasmic details, it was just phenomenal. The star of the show was the bread. The same bread that caused me hesitation on the first bite. Incredible. I'm coming back for every sandwich on the menu, and you should too!

The whole place has that genuine hometown vibe that's getting harder to find, plus consistently great live music (Sundays especially). It's on the smaller side, but they somehow pack the place without sacrificing service, which says a lot. When the weather warms up, they open up a large alley next to the pub for live music--and that's where this place really shines. On a crisp fall day? Forget about it... that's exactly where I want to be. Good food, good people, good music--what more do you need? Enjoy the good times ahead.

We stopped here late night after many rounds and not enough "real" food at Play arcade. Reviewing the receipt jogged my memory. Getting old(er) is no joke! The interior is very cool! It has a great vibe! The staff is friendly, and we were seated right away. We skipped drinks and went right to the food. We had fries, tuna nachos and deviled eggs. All of the food was reasonably priced and it really hit the spot. This was a quick visit that was absolutely worthwhile! If I'm back in New Bedford, I will definitely return here to explore the menu a little further.

I was the first customer of the night and sat at the bar. I received a friendly greeting from the bartender and a beautiful Manhattan to start things off. The steak frites dish was tasty but I did order it medium rare - it came out medium well. The truffle fries were very tasty! I had to interupt conversations between employees a couple of times to ask for things and to engage in conversation but for the most part, attentive service although I was never asked how my meal was. It is a fun space that offers both an old time feeling and a fun, artsy vibe, too. I recommend checking it out!

Servers are always super friendly to make the visit a super pleasant experience! You walk into the restaurant, look to the right and see an open space with plenty of tables, lots of tv's and the bar just beyond that. They have a great menu including a Portuguese section, Every time I go, I get the fish and chips. There were two BIG pieces of fish that were light, flaky, while the batter was crunchy. It also came piping hot...just the way I like it! The Cole slaw tasted home made. It wasn't heavy at all! We also got a quahog. It was pretty yummy. The quahog meat was just a bit chewy. I wish there were quarter stars because I would have given this a 4 and 3/4 rating had it not been for the bones I bit into in one of my pieces of fish. Otherwise, it was delicious and I will be back!

She gave us a few minutes and served us water and took our drink order and answered all our question about the food menu. Our drinks came right over-2 delicious Bloody Marys- spicy not hot- just the way we order them. We then placed our food order. First came out the stuffie- it was good but could have used more linguicą in it. Then out came the seafood chowder with oyster crackers. Kat offered us buns but we declined. This was very different. Clams, scallops, kale, bacon and onions in a creamy broth. It was yummy. And then came out our fish and chips. The fish was fresh with a thin batter- it was excellent. The fries and coleslaw were ok. All in all the food way good but the service was excellent.

The restaurant itself is on a little island and has waterfront seating even though it was too cold for us to sit outside. Our waitress was kind but not overly attentive. However, it didn't hinder our overall experience. We made a reservation and were sat immediately. The menu was large with many different options for cocktails, appetizers, pizza, sandwiches, and a variety of main courses. Most dishes are going to run you between $25-40. Everyone had the scallops tonight- I did the scallop and clams plate and my companions did some of the other scallop options. I was very happy with the scallops themselves- they were sweet and fried well. I wish there were more on the plate as I only had about 5-6 smaller scallops. The fries were great and nicely crispy. My only real complaint is the clams- they were not as crispy and a little on the blander side. For $33 I think the portion sizes could have been bigger as well. My friends all liked their dishes and I would definitely come back at another time to try some of their other dishes.

My littleneck clams served with chourico in a spiced tomato broth with toast points was fresh, delicious and perfect for a light lunch. The entrees are substantial with a range of fish and meats cooked on their grill, fried, or baked and served with your choice of vegetables or salad. Their glass bar is a highlight and the "stuck on the bridge" signature drinks is worth the visit.
