We thought that it might have been a little weird that the president of the establishment and the coordinator of the barbecue competition took first place. With $1000 prize. I was talked into becoming a member that day which was totally fine. I was under the impression that I would be able to wash my own dishes and take care of my own things which was not the case. I handed our cutting board along with a few other items to the gentleman in the back to rinse off for us where he neglected to give us back our $180 knife. Unfortunately we did not realize until the next day that it was not in its case. We called the lodge that night where nobody could tell us if it was there or not. We then proceeded to go there the next day and nobody has a clue where the knife could've gone.... The knife is almost the size of a machete. It doesn't just disappear on its own. I find this to be very disappointing and I will never be returning to this establishment again. I will also not be referring it to anybody I know!!!

Albert saw a banner hanging from Placerville's Main Street advertising a spaghetti dinner being held at the American Legion on the way driving to my house. Upon arriving at my house, Albert flatly stated, "We're going to eat spaghetti dinner~MY TREAT!" Ok, Albert-Let's Go! I drove my truck to the American Legion Post giving Albert time off from hauling from North Dakota to NorCal in about nine hours, non-stop driving . . . Oooof~My brother is such an outrageous, road warrior-he's INSANE IN THE BRAIN and he STILL wants eating spaghetti? Okay~Whatever, Dude! We enter the building which was packed with a plethora of people wearing American Legion hats, mounds of gifts stacked at every table, cramped tables filled with people stuffing their faces with all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, loud microphone blasting through fuzzy, inaudible speakers, strange flyers floating about the marijuana initiatives, the smell of spaghetti sauce, vinegar, and bread permeating the entire Post! WOW! Warning, warning: Visual, audible, and olfactory overload, Mr. Rogers-over and out!

I am writing this review based on my experience with InAlliance involving a disabled adult family…read moremember for whom I serve as Authorized Representative / DPOA. On June 12, 2026, I contacted InAlliance to discuss concerns involving services, transportation, case file access, and billing information. I first asked to speak with management and was told no managers were available. Shortly after questioning that, I was connected with a director-level staff member. During the call, I raised concerns that my family member had been redirected from the regular daily program and that InAlliance staff had been involved in situations where documents affecting services were signed. I also asked when the complete InAlliance case file and billing information would be provided. I did not receive a clear answer or timeline. Based on what was said during the call, I became concerned that services and transportation could be stopped after I asked about records and billing. Transportation is important because my family member relies on it for work and routine. Later that day, I received a call from a Placerville officer after InAlliance contacted law enforcement. The officer did not report any actual issue involving my family member, but the call was documented. Based on this experience, I believe families and representatives should ask for everything in writing, document communications, and make sure any service changes are handled through the proper process. In my opinion, InAlliance needs stronger supervision, clearer communication, and better protections for disabled adults and their representatives.
