Josie gave me an incredible facial with beautifully scented products I had some dermabrasion and painless extractions The coconut scented mask smelled incredible. I asked many skincare questions. For retinol, Josie suggested Murad which is PETA approved "tested on people, not animals." I also purchased a lip treatment and I am overjoyed that my lips won't be so chapped and it's great for lip lines too. I was not given a "hard sell about anything. I am looking forward to giving gift cards as special gifts from "Wax by Renata." Adrienne's Hair Loft recommends Wax by Renata. Both businesses are extremely welcoming. I went right before school started again because I am a teacher and I wanted to do something to "reset" before the school year started. I am SOOOOO HAPPY I decided to do this. I felt like my entire body, but especially my face, scalp and hair got pampered! Licensed esthetician and owner Andrea made sure everything was perfect for total relaxation! The lighting, the music, the warm cozy blankets. You lay in the most incredible massage chair and feel like you're on a cloud. Then you just close your eyes and Andrea handles the rest! There's gentle massages on your neck, head and face. She used different clothes, warm or cold, to cover different parts she wasn't working on. At one point I literally like, moaned because everything just felt so good!! At one point she placed a kinda bubble thing over my head as well and it was a steamer that gave off aromatherapy and it was such a nice touch. Everything already felt incredible and now it smelled incredible, too! I went for the head spa ( which was amazing!) but also got a facial and 3 different friends asked me about my skin after! Highly recommended! I felt like I was glowing for a week. My back to school ritual is so important to me. I usually just get a massage but I've also done reflexology and reiki. But I WILL be coming back to Andrea and DY Beauty Studios every late August, (and probably throughout the school year) because this experience, by far, was the most relaxing treatment I've ever done!

I came for waxing particularly Brazilian because my regular girl was on vacation and I could not wait another day! It was bad ! I made a booking via the Vagaro app several days in advance which was great and convenient though I never got a follow up confirmation from the app or the salon. When appointment day came around I walked in and my arrival was a sort of mystery to the staff there. I said my name and asked for a Brazilian appt and referenced the app but it flew right over a staff members head that was currently working on someone's hair and stopped to assist me. I felt bad and said I'd reschedule but she insisted if I waited 20 mins someone would come down and take of my wax. Ok I'm here I'll wait the 20. She arrived under 20 mins and got right to work. I was pleased with her speed and results were smooth but she may have not been well prepared enough or was trying to rush because she missed some critical spots I didn't get to examine until I had gotten home later. She was still very good and I could tell she was an experienced waxer. It was still a great and last min (for them) wax but I would absolutely call and confirm day of especially if you like to use the app for booking.
