Dr. Corcoran and her staff are wonderful. We were actually on vacation when we first took Wonder to an eye doctor. Dr Corcoran was who we saw after we returned home and she echoed what the other doctor had said. Sadly our dog developed an infection in her blind eye and it had to be removed. We had the other eye treated with laser treatment, as suggested by both vets, and have saved part of the vision in the eye. All charges were clearly explained and Dr Corcoran came in on weekends and days off to check Wonder at no additional charge. As it turns out she has also treated dogs connected with a volunteer organization I am connected with. I highly recommend her and her staff. read more

Avoid this place. This happened a year ago. They were very nice initially. My dog has cataracts in both eyes but one worst than the other. You could barely see it but I still went ahead and she had surgery, right eye only. Followed everything they said and still my dog had a nasty scar I asked and they said it will get smaller and go away. That did not happen. She is going blind now. I called and told them again that it wasn't getting small and they were in a mood and told me I needed to pay a new consultation. She cares about her patients and their humans and it definitely showed on Monday when we came in for an unplanned visit and surgery for Jax. She and her staff spent extra time after hours to ensure Jax came out of his anesthesia which is something that isn't easy for him since he is a French Bulldog. Dr. Corcoran is amazing at what she does. 7 years ago she did a cataract removal surgery on our 10 year old chow-chow and more recently or 12 year old beagle mix needed and eye removal but on the day of surgery Dr. Corcoran called and said she wouldn't recommend surgery because her eye is just a symptom of a much bigger problem and she felt she would be doing us a disservice. Bottom Line: Highly recommend this practice, worth the wait and the money. Will return here if we ever have another eye problem. Pros: Well regarded professional surgeon provided a number of options with a thorough exam. Surgery went well with clear pre/post instructions. Set and met expectations of cost, communication, & appointments. Great vet tech and Amanda in the front was awesome. Cons: Wait time for appointment (likely unavoidable given the supply vs demand). Request appointment button on website didn't yield a response - just call. We came here for a second opinion after our vet kept saying we shouldn't be concerned with what she called cataract. Turned out our suspicions were correct and our 10 year-old Sheltie had been suffering from chronic glaucoma for some time and needed to have his eye removed. We called all three of the veterinary ophthalmologists in the area and Vet Vision's prices were in-line with or less than others for the initial exam. As there are only a few in the area, there was a wait for the initial appointment, but they were able to squeeze our pup in for surgery within a week. The staff overall was amazing. Our dog has PTSD and the vet tech was patient and handled the exam with care and professionalism. One of the ladies at the front desk, I believe her name is Amanda, put us at ease, was professional, and provided excellent customer service and communication. Dr. Corcoran didn't pressure us at all, was clear about the pricing, and worked with us to help keep the expenses down as much as possible. One of the rescues we follow closely uses Vet Vision for their eye needs and highly recommends her as do we now. All of the patients and their pawrents who were coming in seemed like family to the staff and all seemed very happy. Looking through other reviews, I'm not sure where some of them are coming from. Was it cheap? No. Was it in line with the prices in the area? Yes. They were up-front about costs. Dr. Corcoran was clear about the risks, benefits, and alternatives to the surgery and in no way pressured us to choose any of the options she presented - she actually encouraged us to take our time and think about it (we didn't need to as we knew what we wanted). At no point did she toot her own horn or tout her accolades/education, she was professional and humble. There is one woman at the front who isn't as personable as everyone else, but wasn't unprofessional or rude. I've had over 20 dogs in my time, and thus been to countless different vet practices... and VetVision is hands-down the ABSOLUTE WORST. I cannot stress enough for you to find somewhere else to take your pet - Unprofessional Staff: The employees there are very cold and rude. Half the time, the office never even answers their phone for appointments. And if by chance you have a question for the doctor regarding medications or side effects... GOOD LUCK. She's phenomenal at ignoring any and all inquiries. - Ridiculous wait times: I've taken my dog to VetVision at least 7 times now, and not once have they been on time for my appointment. The minimum I've had to wait is 45 minutes... the longest being 1 hour and 30 minutes. It's quite obvious they overbook themselves so they can gobble up as much money as they can, and care/consideration for their patients is a distant 2nd. And don't even get me started on their prices... - Incompetence: I can't say this is the result everyone will experience, but for me they literally broke my dog. He's worse off now than before we started going to VetVision, not only in eyesight but in overall quality of life. Wow! What an great find. I usually go to the Hope Center (they are great too), but Vet Vision is my new favorite place. I have Boston terriers, they have eye problems. I've had to go through multiple types of issues, Dr Corcoran and team have given the most comprehensive, effective, and empathetic service I've ever had. She is so available, in a way that other eye specialists just aren't. There is a standing waiting list anywhere you try to get in for emergencies, but she will always always work you in. And the staff is diligent about finding a window of time. However, be prepared that sometimes the wait is long. Book early appointments if you're in a rush. They see and help so many pets, you have to be patient. I say you have to because they are so worth it. P.S. the same treatment at Vet Vision was cheaper than Hope Center, so it's worth thinking about! read more

5/6/2022: WARNING!!! AVOID THIS "BUSINESS" AT ALL COSTS. This vet is unethical, unprofessional and makes FALSE claims. She submitted LIES to the rescue organization. For example, I NEVER said that I could not wait for discharge paperwork. I NEVER expected an appointment at 8:30 am to end at 8:30 am. Today I took a picture of yesterday's call log with Vet Vision (attached, fact) - an outgoing call from me to Vet Vision at 4:09 pm checking on the status of the cat which I was told surgery had not taken place. At 5:16 pm I received a call from the clinic saying the cat was ready for pick up. To LIE AGAIN and say all need to pick up between 4 and 5 pm was/is ABSURD as the cat was not ready until 5:16 pm, which I was already there waiting. For this vet to place in the paperwork in caps "EVERYTHING OUT OF HER MOUTH IS NASTY..." (after I had the courage to provide honest and open feedback to the vet directly - that the experience was unacceptable and I would not take my own cats here) goes to show how extremely untrustworthy, unethical and unprofessional this individual is. A complaint with the BBB has been filed. I will also be submitting a complaint regarding animal neglect (leaving the cat on the sidewalk and sketchy/unethical/unprofessional behavior). Do yourself a favor, AVOID this vet and find someone ethical, professional and trustworthy. This owner/vet is not. There is one vet tech there, a female, who is a truly wonderful individual. That vet tech deserves ample kudos for continuing to hang in there. 5/5/2022: This business should be visited by a regulator who has the power to push for positive change. I had an appointment on 4/25/2022 for an initial consult at 8:30 am for a rescue organization's cat. I arrived 15 minutes early, they took the cat and had me wait in the car. By 9:10 am, I walked in to check on the cat. They had not seen her. I indicated that I was supposed to be at work by 9 am but could explain a 30 min delay and by 9:15 am, the cat was back in my car with instructions from the vet tech for meds 1x per day and NO time from the vet. At most, the cat received 5 minutes of the vet's time. Two days later paperwork showed and it indicated meds 2x per day. I scheduled her eye surgery after written email approval from the rescue organization for 5/5/2022 and was told to drop her off between 8 - 9 am. I showed up at 8 am and was the first in the door. They indicated she was not on the surgery list and struggled to find her paperwork. I called at 4:15 pm and they still had not performed the surgery. I showed up a little after 5 pm to collect the cat and the vet finally came out to talk to me around 5:15 pm. She demanded payment, which had already been discussed that she was a rescue cat and that was on the paperwork she was holding. When I said the experience was unacceptable and I would not take my own cats here, the vet threw the meds on the chair and stomped off saying "an employee had a heart attack," "this is a business" and "you (me) was in a hurry (the first visit)." I went to my vehicle to wait and the vet put the cat on the sidewalk and said come and get her. We searched our north-of-Baltimore area and found some specialists that we did not feel comfortable with, and they were quite expensive. I continued to search Vet Vision. While for us it was a two hour drive, we found them friendly, helpful, informative and reasonably priced. Through the whole process, everyone was helpful and encouraging. We could not be any happier with the results. Maya's vision has improved dramatically and her happy, bouncy behavior shows it! The reviews and credentials are fantastic. Follow-up was second to none. Dr. Corcoran is AMAZING. My poor bunny was adopted with some eye issues that we were told were "nothing" by the rescue. We were referred by our regular vet, who tried eyedrops to little avail. When our pharmacy couldn't fill a prescription because of a misunderstanding on their end she not only called after work hours to set things right but did so twice. I seriously cannot recommend her enough. Having a pet (especially a tiny bunny and "exotic" pet) under anesthesia and paying for expensive surgeries is nerve-wracking. You want it done well so your pet is healthy and so that it's a good investment in what I'm told is a reeeeally hard animal to anesthetize. Dr. Corcoran's practice exemplifies professionalism, technical expertise, and compassion that sets the bar for the kind of veterinary facility anyone can feel comfortable visiting. I took my Pomeranian, Teddy Bear, to Vet Vision because he had developed crystals on the corneas in both eyes that began breaking off causing obvious pain in both eyes. His enthusiasm for life had decreased significantly since he was unable to see objects in his path. Ingrid and Amanda were able to fit Teddy Bear in for an appointment on short notice after hearing his situation. Dr. Kelley Corcoran's treatment plan to improve vision by delicately removing the crystals was completed successful over the planned five visits. Her genuine care and concern for all of her patients was easy to see since her practice fosters a calm and caring environment for both the pets and pet parents. Vet Tech Spencer kept Teddy Bear calm and relaxed from the time he was taken to the treatment room until each procedure was completed. Assistance from Mike during the snow event was greatly appreciated since he quickly shoveled the walking areas making them safer. During a couple of follow-up visits, I had scheduling conflicts, which Amanda and Ingrid helped resolve so that Teddy Bear could keep his appointments. The staff and Dr Corcoran are fantastic. She is ALWAYS available, and works diligently to work in emergencies between her regularly scheduled appointments. My dog Roxy presented with high pressure in both of her eyes a little over 2 years ago. Our regular vet said she would go blind within a year, Dr Corcoran was able to save her sight in one eye and helped us through losing sight in the other. Roxy's eye pressure went up to 99. 99! And no emergency vet would see or help us, but she fit us in and spoke to emergency vets on our behalf when the business was closed. She has saved us thousands of $$ and is very thorough both with the pet and with the owners so that I have a full understanding of all of my options. There's sometimes a longer wait for appointments BECAUSE she is so helpful but I find that worth the wait. She's in high demand, so some of these reviews about the staff in the building is likely due to that. You have to be quick to keep up with the amount of patients she sees. arI had made an appointment for consulting my 10 year old terrier dogs eye cataract problem. I was told it was $155. I had to give them my credit card to insure the appointment, which I was okay with. I got there on time and waited 30 minutes before a person came up to me and took my dog without any explanation. A few minutes later I was told he got drops in his eyes. I was sitting in the front room with at least 4 dogs and one cat. The space was not very big so my dog was very nervous! Another 30 minutes later he was taken again without explanation. My dog bites when scared. I didnt even have time to tell them, which he did when they returned him the second time. Now I was told to wait in one of the 2 rooms. The doctor finally met with me and told me he was a good candidate for surgery. She showed me 2 ultrasounds and gave me my estimate of the surgery (both eyes),which they could do in 10 days of $6000 plus $300 for meds, bloodwork and more tests. When I got to the front desk I was charged with aditional $90 for ultrasounds, which was not explained to me. The front desk was rushing and rude to me. It was so busy with people that I couldn't even talk much. I felt like I was at a meat market. My dog was going crazy with all those animals and after all they already had my credit card info! I decided to call around for other places and found Animal care of Richmond. I went to Fredericksburg where my dog was not surrounded by other animals and he didn't bite. They did the consultation $125 plus tests ($160 total) in a remote clinic. I will go to Richmond to get the surgery done. The best part is the surgery is only $4000 for both eyes including all meds, bloodwork and any tests still needed! If you are willing to go the extra mile don't waist your time here and keep shopping around! read more

This place is a FRAUD! They ruined my dog's eye forever. When we first brought our Shiba to VetVision for a consultation on his left eye due to Glaucoma, the front desk and doctor were very courteous and informative. Dr. Corcoran was going on and on about her accolades and accomplishments so we were so happy to have found the perfect doctor (don't fall for it). They made us feel reassured and comfortable about getting Hunter's procedure done at VetVision. After getting the procedure done, we received all the eyedrops and post op care essentials for Hunter's left eye. Hunter's left eye improved slightly because he stopped squinting but the left eye was still red and they eye was bulging out. Even after 3-4 months, the redness and bulging never went away. Then his squinting came back in February 2021 for no reason and we are sure that he did not bump into any objects or scratch it. This makes us wonder if the procedure was a failure or poorly done. What makes this situation worse is, the nurse (brown short hair and tight pony tail) brings out the invoice and while she is getting the eyedrops we notice some charges on the invoice that we don't recognize or getting permission to do tests on our pet. This is the first time any pet clinic has ran tests on our dog without consulting the owner beforehand (money hungry much?) Naturally, we ask about the charges on the invoice to the nurse when she comes back with the eyedrops. She is clearly eager to leave for the day because she doesn't want to answer any questions with a clear answer and brushes all of them off. The nurse keeps trying to avoid all questions and says "I'm new here! I'm new!" - Um... no you're not, you were there when we first came in for the consultation. This can make any pet owner upset, so we keep asking about the invoice and then she says, "are you crazy? because you're kinda crazy!" then she walks off going back into the clinic saying "fuck you." You know what? It gets WORSE. I submitted a private complaint on their website and didn't want to leave a public review because I was trying to give them a chance to redeem themselves from horrible patient care. Few days later, Dr. Corcoran calls me and gives me a play-by-play. I thank her for the clarification and that that was exactly the type of explanation we needed from the ill-mannered nurse. Then, Dr. Corcoran starts accusing my husband of attacking her nurse with vicious words and that she has witnesses to prove it. I told her let's bust out the CCTVs and prove that your nurse and YOU are lying. Dr. Corcoran keeps defending her nurse and says that she would NEVER act that way to patient's owners and that she worked with her for 16 years (this is proof that the nurse is a pathological liar). Dr. Corcoran tells us to never come back to her clinic (Am I crazy to go back there? You RUINED my dog!!!) - then she hangs up while I'm still talking. I was not surprised by Dr. Corcoran's behavior and bedside manner because she hires those kind of employees for a reason. Nasty attracts nasty. VetVision's patient care is so revolting and I cannot believe we got scammed which ultimately was the greatest loss for our Shiba! He is even more pain after VetVision and they can't even figure out what the problem is. Well, I can make an educated guess - it's the doctor. She didn't do the procedure properly and is now trying to cover herself up. What's even crazier is that this place is still up and running. They only care about your money and after you pay them, EVERYTHING changes. Our poor baby Hunter was always in an abnormal mood after coming out of that clinic. Who knows how they treated him in there?! We can't even go in because of COVID, so they can do WHATEVER they want to the pets in there without getting caught. You know... I saw all the bad reviews before coming to this place so I was a bit hesitant. I thought maybe it was just bad luck for those people and possible misunderstanding. I should've went with my GUT. ALWAYS go with your gut. Believe in your gut. Don't be like us and fall for their trap. This was a whirlwind of unending nightmares and stress for us and our pet. We lost all unnecessary money to them and more pain for our Shiba who will never be the same again. Appalled. I am just appalled and disgusted by this patient care. read more

I would be VERY WARY of this doctor and practice. I've waited almost a year to post this review in order to provide a clear and complete perspective. First of all, the office is always in utter chaos with waits up to an hour post appointment time to see Dr. Corcoran. This would be semi-tolerable (understanding there are a very limited number of veterinary ophthalmologists in the area) if my experience hadn't been so horrific with the medical care / recommendations made for my cat. Nicki presented with diffuse melanosis in her eye that was rapidly changing. At the time, I'd done a bit of research on the condition and every source reference indicated that the typical protocol in this instance would be to remove the eye as it could not be definitively determined (without biopsy) whether the melanosis in the eye had transitioned to melanoma. Additionally, according to what I'd read, cats do quite well with one eye, so this option appeared to be the one with the safest outcome for my kitty, given the potential for the melanosis to become melanoma which could then metastasize to other parts of the body. However, I ultimately deferred to Dr. Corcoran's advice (as the expert) who instead recommended a laser procedure which would flatten the growth - the rationale was that Nicki was "relatively young at ~6.5 years of age and this would allow her to keep her eye". She indicated that she'd had success with this procedure previously in similar scenarios and that we would only need to follow up every 2 years. HUGE MISTAKE - I absolutely should have gone with my gut as I had not heard or read of any other veterinary ophthalmologists that recommend this laser protocol. It's almost as if she's performing research on her patients... In most cats, if the eye is enucleated early on, it can prevent or minimize the chance that your pet has metastasis (tumor spread) to other, more vital organs. In our case, within less than 15 months after the laser procedure, the eye became a dark black color -- I was concerned, so I took my kitty back to Dr. Corcoran who then had the gall to tell me the eye needed to come out "immediately"... EXTREMELY frustrating given that I'd wanted to take the eye out initially... At that point, I no longer trusted Vet Vision, so I took my cat to Ocean Veterinary Ophthalmology, who kindly accommodated me and removed the eye three days later. Pathology showed that there was now "extensive melanoma" in the eye which indicated a much higher risk of metastasis to other areas in the body. I was then referred to an oncologist who recommended the melanoma vaccine, Oncept, which alerts the immune system to the presence of melanoma proteins, and hopefully results in the immune system fighting any cancer cells. The initial series of 4 shots costs $4,000 (on top of the $4,000 enucleation surgery)... Unfortunately, I was just informed that the shots did not work. Last Friday, I had 8 dermal cysts removed from my cat and pathology found that every single one was metastatic melanoma... The prognosis for my dear sweet Nicki is that she will likely die in the next 2-4 months. read more

The management/staff here is atrocious. The doctor is extremely overbooked and needs to space out appointments more, though she does appear to be good at her vision practice. The staff is very unprofessional, especially the front desk. On our first visit that we had scheduled and confirmed over the phone, we showed up on time for our dog's surgery. We were told by staff that we did not have an appointment that day, and to come back another time. Baffled, we showed them the credit card records that we were charged initially and they said, "Oh wow, we thought you were lying!" No apology, but they squeezed her in. Still very strange, but they chalked it up to an intern messing up the scheduling. On the second visit that I had scheduled, I showed up 10 minutes early and walked our dog as asked so she could go to the bathroom. I had not given the explicit reason why we were scheduling a visit, and they never asked. I bring my dog to the door and someone takes her, ask if she went to the bathroom, and walks away immediately. No greeting or asking about the appointment purpose. I think to myself, surely they will ask why I'm here. I sit in the car for an hour and a half with no notice, watching technicians pass by, (they were very very overbooked and I am patient), and my dog comes out with an ulcer test and tear test for some reason and the doctor tells me about them. I told her that's great and all, but do you know why I scheduled this visit? She looks at me awkwardly, apologizes for her staff, says I should be more vigilant with her staff next time (though the vet should be asking WHY a pet is there to begin with, or the front desk in particular), and takes my dog back inside for the true reason she's there. No apology for the ~1.5 hour wait. I'm pretty sure this is place is filled with low-cost interns that don't really take their time seriously there. They were extremely unapologetic and not welcoming to other guests as I watched, and seemed to care more about their lunch trip and the Keurig machine than the pets. I witnessed other unprofessional happenings with other patients that aren't worth mentioning, but were very questionable. Be prepared. read more

It's a shame that Dr. Corcoran is so good while some of her staff is rude and nasty. Dr. Corcoran gets 5 stars from me, Mariah her office "whatever" gets a -5, she's an abusive bully type. I called to ask why i hadn't been notified before my card was charged and was treated like a piece of dirt. She was so rude that i reminded her that's it's illegal to charge a card without permission and was told i was wrong and that i was the only patient who complained about it? She continued yelling at me as though I was a child, wouldn't let me speak to the vet and threatened to make more charges to my card. Rather than argue I will wait until I'm face to face with the vet to speak my piece. Mariah, this is for you "It's illegal to charge a person's credit card without their permission. It's a felony called Financial Transaction Card Fraud" I'll finish out the treatment with my dog because the vet is great and much appreciated but I would be hesitant to go back in the future as the front office staff is miserable. We will NEVER take our dog here EVER again!!! They are rude and unprofessional. They use being busy as an excuse to be unprofessional. A nurse came out and yanked Smokey out of my sisters hands with out asking any medical history, age, or even if they got the right dog. While my sister was waiting another customer arrived and it was completely different. Too bad we didn't get that person maybe this review would be different. This was his 1st and LAST time here. Our experience with Dr Corcoran was hands down the worst experience with a vet we have ever had. Our dog had double cataract surgery. Maybe we were just unlucky or maybe the surgery was performed poorly, but due to complications, he has already lost sight in one eye and he is probably going to have to have it removed. What is unquestionable is that we received bad advice from the doctor once the eye started to go bad and we were treated poorly every time that we went to the office, especially by the doctor's assistant who is one of the rudest people that I have ever met. After four weeks of hell and very little progress, we decided to get a second opinion. The new doctor told us that they would need to get a copy of the records from Dr. Corcoran and not to worry, it was just professional courtesy to share those. Apparently not for Dr Corcoran. My dog recently had an emergency situation requiring surgery. Dr. Corcoran and her staff were fantastic. Dr. C made sure I understood the condition and what she could do to treat the problem. She and her staff kept me informed of her condition and on follow up visit were great in explaining her continued care. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and friendly staff. The first time I visited there were many pets with their humans there. Despite being very busy Dr. C. and staff were friendly with everyone and took their time in talking with them. This business is very poorly run. It could just be the way they're handling COVID but looking at the previous reviews, I'm seeing that it isn't new behavior for Vet Vision. First, their system for taking in your pet doesn't work because they tell you to sit in your car and they have no way of marking who came first so two separate times, we've had to flag down the workers because they weren't answering the phone and taking walk ups before the people waiting patiently in their cars. From the first check up, they told us "everything we needed to know to make an appointment." They gave us paperwork but nothing about the pre surgical procedures. So we made an appointment for double cataract surgery. They're closed on the weekends so come the Friday right before my dogs surgery, they called me 30 minutes before they close and inform me that she has medicine that we never picked up that she requires before her surgery and that we'd have to reschedule if we didn't pick it up before they close. We had made the appointment weeks in advance and they neglected to inform us of any of this beforehand in the two weeks we were preparing. I live an hour away and had to head straight there after work but they were closed. When we got there everyone was gone and so was the medicine they'd left for us. So we had to call the doctor personally and explain the situation with the lack of communication and she told us we had the information before which we hadn't. The day of the surgery we dropped her off with everything they told us she needed and later in the day I got a call that they were missing a part of her bloodwork that I had gotten them a week in advance so they could look over it. But she was next on the surgery table so I had to fix it or else I'd have to pay for them to do it. So I had to go to her vets office and hope they had the information because they didn't check when we'd given literally all the information well in advance for them to let us know if anything was missing. My vets office was very professional and quick. After the surgery they failed to inform us that we'd have to bring her back the next morning for the check up. Luckily a family member has been working from home since covid. But I'd only taken off work the day of her surgery. So I couldn't be there. They told us they'd send an email both times about her progress and what would be the next steps but both times I got no email and had to call them for them to tell us that she'd missed her one week check up. I'm glad my dog can see. Im very happy about her new view on life, literally, but the way the office handles their business and operates is very unprofessional. It's a very expensive surgery and you'd think for all the money you pay for it, they'd at least work out a way for it to be a little less painful for everyone involved. read more

My 54gram lovebird, Ceir, developed cataracts and I needed a vet who could help him as he was going blind and losing depth perception. As he lives in a 4' by 8' aviary with 3 other lovebirds and is very active, he needed his vision back, and moving into a smaller space was not an option. The staff and Vet Vision were great and very compassionate toward my little bird. They are a very busy practice, and we had to coordinate this special surgery as parrots need special care, but everything went smoothly. When he started to recover I was able to put him in a medium cage with his friend and now he's back in the aviary and seeing better each day. He's very happy to be able to see where he's flying! Birds have special eyes, and each species has their own differences. They also have special lungs which makes anesthesia more complicated. Horrible place. Terribly busy and overbooked. They leave you sitting out in the parking lot for hours sometimes. Took my dog in for cataract surgery, which I was told went well. Two weeks later, my dog was blind. Took several calls for them to return my call about it (they rarely answer the phone, it frequently goes to voicemail). My dog's retina had detached, Doctor said it had nothing to do with the surgery - seriously? Then she got blood in her eye, which had to be removed every 2 weeks for several months. Finally she offered a "Discount" on a procedure to stop the bleeding. Several thousands of dollars later, my dog is worse off than before, and I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I really appreciate Vet Vision's Dr. Corcoran and her staff. Dr. Corcoran is truly dedicated to her patients and carries her cellphone and answers calls and texts from patients 24/7. Who does that anymore? Her staff is wonderful too. They are caring, competent and efficient in managing what I see as an overwhelming demand. My dog is happy to go there which says a lot. I am so thankful she saw my dog right away as a new patient when he started having inflammation in his eyes. The other eye vet wouldn't see him for another month and he surely would have been blind by then. Btw, there are only 2 eye vet in the Fairfax/ NOVA area. Today I called this place because my dog is battling a very stubborn ulcer on his right eye. After waiting a long time on the phone (obviously they are understaff) I requested an appointment and the earliest was August 9, 2022. After I told the receptionist that I could not wait that long, she consulted with her doctor and they said they could take my dog the next day as an emergency visit. She explained to me that the charge for an emergency visit was $300 rather than the usual $135, I told her I could not pay that price because I had a limited budget, and she said "well there are other places." This practice showed no empathy whatsoever and their behaviour was very curt and arrogant. read more

I have Recently come back here due to an emergency with my dog after other places being too expensive and no appointments until next year. I was RELIEVED!! to see that both of those rude women I interacted with at my last visit were not working there anymore . The nice man who refunded me before was still there, and my dog even seemed happy to see him and he was very courteous! The two new girls I saw also seem very nice and professional!! The vet was much more patient this time around and spoke with me at length about my baby's condition . Everything about my appointment was prompt, but I can still see they are very busy and have many patients. My dog's eyes is looking much better and no discharge!! I call them this morning and this vet is not patient, no idea if they love their job?? I am not comfortable to give my pet to them.

My dog had been seen by another doctor for an eye ulcer with no improvement. I called Vet Vision for an appointment. They asked what was wrong and when I told the receptionist, she said they always keep a few appointments in the afternoon for emergencies. They saw my boy that day! It was a busy office and they examine the animals without the owner and then ask the owner to come into the room for discussion. My boy had a torn cornea, a procedure was done immediately and we left with a lot of drops and meds. Within days I could see a difference. I so grateful for their expertise and for accomodating me so quickly. Dr, Corcoran glued my boy's cornea back together. It is now just over a month and he is almost back to normal. The other doctor didn't do the procedure and was going to let my boy suffer while it healed which they later told me could be over a year. If your dog has a ulcer, Dr, Corcoran has done over 5000 of this procedure. Do not go anywhere else. I am so grateful to this practice, including the staff. read more

I really liked the Dr at first. I'm not totally sure what happened, but I would warn you to not mess with your dog's eyes if you do not feel inside they need it. I trusted the doctor 110% and suddenly one year she said my dog had developed glaucoma and was in pain and needed a 1k injection. I rushed to do it, trusting her. The injection knocked out his vision completely. I knew i had made the absolute wrong decision taking her word when i returned for post op and she said "oh, now his other eye needs it". BS. A huge red flag went off inside me. The world has gone a bit bonkers due to pandemic and i don't know what she is dealing with but i would not recommend to go to the eye dr for your dog unless they are visibly in pain. In our case, it has forever changed my dog's life and it didn't need to be this way. The front desk staff was always poor, and condescending on the phone. I learned early on it is bc she does not know what she is doing. Nurses were always fine. Beware. Protect your animal. read more

I'm so happy I took my dog somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. My dog was not a good candidate for surgery yet an estimate was provided just in case I elected to do the surgery. His cataracts were not advanced and due to his eye disease cataract surgery would simply have been an expensive and unnecessary risk without reward. He will eventually go blind due to the eye disease and there is no surgery that will change that outcome. The 2nd opinion was well worth it and it was a much better experience overall.
