A Must-Stop for Plant Lovers!…read more I absolutely love stopping by the Cute Roots plant booth at Haggin Oaks Farmer's Market every Sunday! I always look forward to seeing what new and unique plants will be on display. There's something different and interesting to discover each time, which makes browsing so much fun. My favorite thing about this seller, though, is the attention to detail. Each plant has a label on the pot with a QR code that you can scan to learn exactly how to care for your new plant. As someone who loves plants but doesn't always know the specific needs of every variety, I think this is such a clever and helpful idea! The plants are unique, the setup is inviting, and you can tell there's genuine care and passion behind what she does. If you're at the Haggin Oaks Farmer's Market on a Sunday and love plants, definitely stop by Cute Roots. You might just find your next plant baby!

Hanging Oaks Farmers market seems like a forced (name) Farmers market. By no means is this a…read morefarmers market, also even though the signs says no dogs allowed... THEY ALLOW DOGS IN THE MARKET, on leashes, puppy carriers, dog strollers JUST NASTY........ FARMERS MARKET ???? I only see 2 or 3 vendors with produce, I originally hoped I t would get better over time. and nope it hasnt same 2 to 3 vegetable vendors same thing very week. 2/5 Stars I come here for 2 places Martins Meats 5/5 Stars and Howies Micheladas,5/5 Stars and other than that i don't even know why I continue to come here, I can get those any day of the week, I guess this "Farmer's Market" is not my particular cup of tea ,I have been spoiled in Ventura and San Diego all my life so im biased on the lack of variation of produce and vendors, I have tried to give them a chance, I usually am disappointed every time I come, nothing original, two or 3 places sell almost the exact same items here, and certain places are either out of what I want to get or they don't make that particular item the weekend that I come. I show up before 10am everytime and it hasn't made a difference if I showed up right before closing to get some Chamoy candies, and a Agua Fresca from Howie or some rib tips or breakfast tacos/burritos from Martin. Both 5/5 Stars Dont get me wrong for Bakersfield this is a 5 but we've gotta have more variety Final rating 2/5 Stars until they bring in some produce, and not puppies..

The weather has been perfect the last few times it was open and I loved strolling through the vendors and really learning about what they were offering. The vendors are are really great people and the live music is the perfect touch! Being located near home is even better (west side of town). I hope it gets more visitors to keep it going because it's so fun to have them over here. They did a fun Halloween event with candy and costume contests. It's a bit more involved than the other markets, even if it isn't the biggest one. It's like a little family. :) I definitely recommend a visit. Grab a coffee or a Kona ice and take a stroll while enjoying the current weather. *This market is located in the parking lot next to Sequoia's and Asada Grill off of Buena Vista on the last Wednesday of every month.

Got the Fiesta Pistachios today from the Torrance City Farmers Market. Was looking to purchase roasted & UNSALTED pistachios but the lady (busy attending to other customers who wanted to sample the nut butters) said they don't have it. My purchase was for $14, not bad considering the organic, roasted & unsalted pistachios at Sprouts were for $12.49. The Fiesta pistachios have all the flavors they have available. Some featured flavors that I noticed after I have paid for mine were, garlic, jalapeño....I would've gotten the garlic for sure! Next time. Snacked on these on the way home & these were really good, packed with flavors, especially the garlic are pretty spicy. Will definitely try other flavors when I visit next tome.
