Unfortunately, when I spoke to him, Mike told me that they stopped by St. Vincent de Paul to donate items that could be recycled and they don't. Everything goes to the dump. By the time I eliminated all items that could be donated for free and that I am unwilling to trash and add to the landfill, I could no longer use my discount coupon since it doesn't cover a minimum load. And the electronics recycling they do is free if you contact your garbage service. This company is probably only time and money efficient if you are at the end of a move and are facing stiff penalties for not vacating the premises on time. The day before my scheduled appointment, I received an email and text reminding me they will be coming the next day. The day of the appointment, I received a text stating they were on their way. After I made my payment, I received another text and email providing me the details of the job and a receipt. My scheduled time was between 8am-10am and they arrived around 8:45. The 2 gentlemen that took my stuff were friendly, kind, courteous and professional. They employ veterans who have served this great country of ours and I love that. They came, they saw, they conquered...The guys were very nice. Removed all requested items. The sofa and love seat were a chore due to the weight (lots of metal for reclining parts) and the size. I was impressed with the coupon that I had received in the mail. Plus they come out, see what you have and give you a quote, if you don't want removed they leave, no fuss no muss. The quote is good for 30 days, which I love, being on a fixed income if I had to save more than I had already allocated to accomplish the removal I had time and the price wasn't going to change. Our last junk pick-up guy's truck broke down and did not notify me in advance that he may not make it for the appt...and I would not have known had i not called the previous guy a day before to confirm our appt (which he did end up cancelling on the day of!)--I did not want to chance the unreliability and have our heap of junk in the garage grow even bigger! Very friendly folks. Called, made appointment and the truck showed up as scheduled. After inspecting the pile that I had created in the garage, they quoted a half truck load and took care of business. Quick turnaround once I agreed to the price. I highly recommend. Note: I was told everything gets taken to the dump. If you have a mattress (or box spring) there is an extra surcharge per unit, as the dump charges extra for those items. They were advertised in a local mailer that comes every so often. I normally don't pay much attention to these type of ads but this one caught my eye thinking, being a vet myself, that after we hold our garage sale ,what do we do with the remaining goods. I called the number and checked out the web page and a gentleman called me and set up a time the next day to give a bid and if accepted would remove the goods at the same time.
