This is a small campground with only 27 RV/popup campsites and 8 covered tent spots which were very cool. The campground was immaculate and the campsites are huge! So much room to spread out. There is a pool for seasonal swimming, a nice sized playground for the kiddos, golf course, and archery, but there is not a fun little putt-putt course that a lot of State Parks have. Very nice little park.

I get the feeling this park has been there a long time, had a very old-school charm. I enjoyed the walk near the stream on the Victoria's Path and liked seeing the different fishing ponds. The most amazing part was after the rain the steam rising from the ground from the new heat was other worldly, hadn't really seen anything like it! Check it out!! Get to as many in one day as you can, it's worth it!

This park is such a sweet little find and can be enjoyed by children, adolescents, and grown folks…read morealike. There's a small playground area that is fairly standard. Clean, accessible restrooms and places to sit and eat. What sets the park apart from others, however, is the stunning view of an old mill and the waterfall / creek that surround it. It's a little bit of an adventure to hike down to if you're doing it with younger kinds, but very doable and totally worth it. This would be a wonderful place to go to take some nature-esq photos, or just quietly exist and meditate for a while. During our visit on a weekday evening we were the only ones there and it was incredibly peaceful and quiet. Definitely worth the little drive out from the highways to get out to it.

It is wildly cool that you can still walk/run up this mountain just like the 101st Airborne did in…read morethe 1940s. The trail is gravelled and extremely well maintained since it serves a utility tower on the top of the mountain. The grade of the trail is usually pretty gradual with only a couple portions where it gets really steep, but it is a continual slope for 3 miles so you have to be at least a little physically fit to tackle it. There is a really nice parking area with an informational sign right off the turn to Currahee Mountain Road where you can park. The trail from the parking not is not "original" to the Camp, but it comes around a curve and then joins up with the original trail that comes out of the Camp.
