I've been to Coachella 3 times before and this year I went both weekends. I was here in the early 2000's before it became what it is now and I can tell you it's massive now. Before this year, the last time I was here was in 2013 and the stages were nowhere near as big and high tech as they are now. Favorite set this year was Nine Inch Noize at Sahara, Ceremony inside the Sonora tent, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. It's the best music festival in the world and worth the hefty price tag. Concert tickets are just about $100 plus dollars, so you're able to see so many artists for less than a standard L.A. venue ticket. HIghly recommend doing it once in your lifetime, but it is exhausting. Don't go back to work for a week after you attend all three days and book a spa day or a massage, the Monday after.

Don't get me wrong though, Justin Beiber was fun and he played our favorite song, "Beauty and a Beat." We got tier 2 tickets since tier 1 was sold out quick. Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!

This monument to Dr. June McCarroll is located in Doug York Plaza in downtown Indio. Dr. McCarroll…read morewas on her way to her medical offices in Indio in 1917, driving an Model-T Ford, when she was run off the road by a truck. (Reminds me of "Duel", Steven Spielberg's best movie imho). Scary, right? Luckily, she survived. As a member of a healing profession, she decided to use her experience to help others and invented the idea of painting a while line down the middle of the road to prevent accidents. Not only did she come up with this idea, Dr. McCarroll campaigned for highway delineation lines which were eventually used not only in California but all over the world. Her achievement warranted this marker placed facing Indio Boulevard, which does indeed feature white delineation lines. Not only did Dr. McCarroll advocate for public safety, she was one of the first female physicians in the area and the only physician providing medical care for the Cahuilla Native Americans forced to live on local reservations. Talk about girl power! Stop by this well-deserved monument and reflect on what one woman can do for the common good.

It's a rental place right in the heart of town which also does repair. So many bikes to choose from with beach cruiser, electric and so on. As we just needed something simple, which I assume. He explained the procured and cost. There was a few gentlemen working but I believe there was one that was mainly in charged of all the replacement and technical work. As we were parked in the front, we told us to pull up to the back so it would be easier to unload the bikes. Everyone was a major doll and the whole process was simple. We left our bikes and just waited for the call for pick up. It wasn't too long until the bikes were ready. Replacement was nice which a couple of inner tubes were replaced. I believed they also adjusted some things. Service was great and the staff were all amazing. Prices varies for whatever service is needed. For us it was for the inner tubes and labor per tires. Excellent customer service with friendly staff. Tony was a doll the whole process. Now that we know about this place, we definitely will be a regular both for personal and recreational needs. My husband, a stroke survivor walking with a wheeled walker, had no problem getting through to the entryway on the long paved path from the external gate on Miles Street. Inside, the exhibits are so interesting and the facility is bright and clean. We love Indio, so seeing the history of the city's populace enriched our understanding about life in early days. They have a beautiful shop which is now added to my list if cool places to obtain unique gift items. Parking is right across Miles on the corner, directly facing the big museum gate. A ramp connects the parking lot to the roadway. While the property is not a massive one, Coachella Valley Museum is a rich cultural walk through the olden days and you are still close to the downtown area and hidden foodie hangouts like Gabino's Creperie and the Friday Night Food Trucks or the sweet Farmers' Market.

The front door security guard was really friendly too, he laughed when I told him, "I'm just here to give away my $20, I'll see you in 2 seconds." And honestly... I wasn't lying I put my $20 in, lost it immediately, and was back out in about .2 seconds. That said, it was still a fun little experience. The casino itself felt clean, quaint, and easy to navigate. Definitely a nice stop if you want to stretch your legs, play a little for fun, and get back on the road. Just maybe keep it to a small amount... at least that's my strategy Stop in for the stretch but leave your wallet and purse in the car and only take in an amount you won't cry over if you lose.
