HI , we went to VESUVIO , Friday the 12th (07.19), to be honest it would have been more appropriate "FRIDAY THE 13 " THE WAY THIS PEOPLE TREAT US THERE AND KIKED US OUT WITH A KID.
Soooooo.... mysel a friend of mine and his 5 years old, were refused to be served and we were told to leave the restaurant by the owner of VESUVIO , he also told to the waiters and staff not to serve my friend and to the manager as well to come and show us out of the premises , and close the door behind us. ( witch it actually happend after)
The story is this: We went there at the terrace so we can watch the kid playing in the child's playground around at the back of VESUVIO where they have also a small terrace sonthatvyoubsupervise your kids while paying.
The 5 years old had a small water gun with him witch he then left it on the table so he can go and climb, play etc etc .
My mate was watching his kid and in the same time he was on the phone , another kid from the table next to us suddenly comes and he grabs the water gun turns around and shoots a person with it in a matter of second (we were told by the manager it was the owner of VESUVIO ), the owner the looked at my mate and tells him ." what are you looking at? Does it seem to be funny ? " . So my friend here tells him .. it is not my child .. so I don't really know why you pick on me while I am actually on the phone and actually watching my real kid playing .
Then again my mate is being told he is not just rude for smiling when it happend but he is also a liar denying that is his kid and try to hide from responsibility of what just happened.
Then in moments the mother of the "mysterious vigilante " comes and another waiter from there which I supposed to be his father the way they talked between them , and the kid also admits that he used the gun on shooting a person and took it from our table without asking permission, and also in the same time the mystery is solved so everyone knows that it was NOT our child.
So the manager of VESUVIO goes inside to tell the owner the real story and hopefully now all is settled and we can stop with all this false accusations and refusing us to be served for nothing really .
So again thE VESUVIO MANAGER comes out and tells us that we are still to leave and he can not serve us because the owner had his feeling broken because my mate smiled when he was shot by the kid and he was expecting him to go to him and apologies for smiling instead , and because he did not we should leave and not be served there , so that is the help we got from THE MANAGER of this Restaurant and his BOSS.
I just want to say that we are also daily customers of Vesusvio, we have friends we meet daily there and know most of the waiters already and became friends with them too .
It is hard to understand why will someone do that to his customers for such a reason
We still want to go there despite the incident that occurred on Fridey the 12th , but we do desreve some apologies I should think , after all that happened.
And also it is in my opinion that the owner of VESUVIO should not explode like that around 5 years old kids and be a bit more calculated and disciplined in his role over there.
I used to work 20 years on the Hospitality industry and on Cruise Lines Ships around the globe , and 5**** stars Ships , but never have seen that much ego and poor customer service exactly from the owner of the business , and all because of a kid playing with a water gun on a sunny day with 29° Celsius outside on a sand terrace.
Not to mention that at one point we were told by him that we are irresponsible because instead of a water gun it could have been a knife on the table and things could have been even worst than that.
Now please people make me understand this .... and here I ask you something now : - HOW MANY OF YOU , CARY A 5 YEARS OLD AND A KNIFE HAND TO HAND ?
- OR WHAT 5 YEARS OLD KID WILL GO TO OTHERS TABLE TO GET A KNIFE AND STAB SOMEONE ?
So bottom line is that Th Owner should apologise for his attitude and abuse of power in his role and invite us back at the restaurant as we are regular daily customers over there and we did had spent some good money on his business for a while now and never caused any issues. ( not even )
