Had the salmon with quinoa and baby spinach. They served me the dish without quinoa without informing me why. When I asked they said its because you requested a nut free meal, which doesn't make sense. Because they couldn't confirm if the quinoa was mixed with nuts or not. So I asked for some substitution like any kind of carbs, like rice or pasta. Waitress just exclaimed; Salmon and pasta?! That doesn't go together and walked off. Sigh...Someone else came out and offered wedge potatoes. Overheard the same conversation about quinoa with the table behind where quinoa was omitted as well. Wait staff said, well it doesn't matter because quinoa is just a sprinkle anyway...sigh. So service was a bit rubbish and indifferent, until the manager came out to rectify the situation .
The salmon was good quality and nice clean, thin slices. Potatoe wedges were good too. The pasta rigatoni was not a very large portion.
All the chairs are wobbly. You can learn some basic Italian off the back of the napkins. Grazie, prego, il conto, etc. I feel so Mediterranean already lol. This location is supposed to be more fancy than Vespa's other location next door, but I don't quite see the difference. The location is great if you are sitting on the patio overlooking the water. But I think I would want to try another place next time I'm in the area. read more
