This place just keeps getting better and better. It's an amazing rock climbing gym with multiple levels of challenge. You can take a class to be qualified to belay, you can use just the auto belay which has about 6-8 different climbs available each with two difficulty levels , there's a bouldering section and a huge top rope wall. The best thing to do if you think you'll go often is buy a punch card with 10 visits on it. It doesn't expire and includes the price of the gear to rent (harness shoes and chalk) as well. Great staff, clean and open area. It's a great workout and a fun way to exercise. They also have fitness memberships with Unlimited Climbing, Unlimited First Time Visitor Guest Passes, free Fitness and Yoga Classes, Member Only Training Zone Access, Discounted Climbing Classes and 10% Off Gear and Merch. That's a great deal! Parking available in their parking lot.

PROS: STAFF STAFF STAFF From Coach G, Adam, everyone at the front desk, and behold. This gym is extremely personable. They set new routes every week! They are all climbers which means they can show you some betas. The fitness area is for members only and they have everything you need for healthy shoulders and finger strength. Great prices for the most part. Shoes and gear rentals. -Bouldering -Lead Climbing -Auto Belay -Gym CONS: No American flag anywhere. I hate that we do not simply represent our country as a whole. Yet, they have a huge "rainbow" flag when you come in. Just take down all flags or put the American one up. D

I've never been rock climbing before but really enjoyed my visit at Vertical Ventures. I went on a Friday evening and I'd say it was pretty busy but I was able to still climb the walls. The staff was very friendly and provided clear instructions and guidance. Shoes and gear were also provided but it did look like you could bring your own gear. I will definitely go back.

Super fun venue and friendly staff. The smell inside isn't great and it was very busy when we were there - probably because of spring break. Had a great time with our 13 year old niece. Climbing for a variety of skill levels.

Absolutely love it ! Our very first time here. The service and overall experience was excellent. The instructions/ instructors are friendly and professional. They have clean areas to hang out . Drinks & little snacks are available at a low affordable price. A/c is great - super clean family fun.

There is plenty of parking around the area of this gym, parking was not a issue at all for us. As we came in we saw that the place is pretty nice and large, with lots of walls and plenty things to do (so we thought) we had a tour of the gym and saw all walls and the members only gym too. They had some walls with a machine kind of thing that made possible to climb with no need of a spotter? idk if that is what is called, the person who holds a cord. They also had a "pit" that apparently only people who had classes with them has access and they also have some short walls that not equipment is necessary. IT is a lot at first but once we saw the price and realized that we could not really use the entire place it was a bit of a let down. now, I wanna make sure to let you all know I understand that safety is important and a class or two should be necessary to use certain more challenging walls. HOWEVER, they charge like almost 40 dollars and have a hour class to use all areas, besides the "pit" (this place only if you gave them enough amounts of money in form of classes" now, I get it to charge a fee to teach, but most people like me who wanna come for one time and get to experience the place cannot. They could make the class shorter and cheaper or think about something to make possible to train new people safely and in an affordable way so they can have more people who will wanna use their facilities. I will probably not come back I was only able to use a couple of walls and it was not worth it in the end as a first time user of the gym, seems ikon this place is made for people to commit to It and not meant for people to come and experiment and see if they would like the sport.

Never went vertical climbing before and wanted to do something different with the kids. This is the only climbing spot in the area. The next one being in Orlando. We had a great instructor Kujo who walked us through all the rights and wrongs of climbing before letting us loose to explore ourselves around the place. The provide the shoes and harnesses to use as well as a pack of chalk to keep the hands dry. I loved that the day pass is provided so that you can skip out for lunch or snack and come back once reenergized. The kids loved reaching the top and belay down. It was my favorite part of the climb as well. There's a large area to simulate boulder climbing and so many varying levels of difficulty. Perfect for beginners and all the way to the ultimate climber who fingers are able to grasp the most tiniest crevice. Overall was a great experience, fun exercise and challenging.

Obviously, I love rock climbing. On my way back to Jacksonville from Miami, I met up with some of my Tampa friends at Vertical Ventures in St. Pete. A buddy of mine recommended this specific location to me, and I can see my trust was not misplaced. This location offers top rope with a Grigri set up, auto belays, bouldering, lead climbing, and top rope with your own belay device. We had a blast! There is a lot of space, which makes for a good time for friends and family of all ages. I'm sure if I lived in the area, I'd have a membership. It's also visually appealing. Whether you're passing through or live in the bay area, stop by Vertical Ventures in St. Pete.

They have a bouldering section, a huge belay section, and a pit where you can lead climb really really high.

I camped out here on Thanksgiving to get a cheap laptop on Black Friday. I'm currently still recovering from a climbing related injury and am in a wrist brace, so I brought my nieces and nephews here. Ali was great and got us started on the paperwork at the front desk. I was instantly bummed that they don't have roped routes. The climbing here is 100% bouldering. They have very basic routes labeled VB which were great for the kids to play out. They also have super-juggy holds to down climb on so you don't have to take massive falls if you don't want to. The gym was impeccably clean, as were the rental shoes. This is probably the cleanest climbing gym I've ever been to. They also offer communal chalk so you don't have to bring your own. The bathrooms are also pristine and there's even a SAUNA in each of them! My rock gym in Anchorage doesn't gave one of those and it costs 20% more to climb there! I loved the little wall with all the employees and their favorite types of climbing. Ali is also a trad climber, I knew there was a reason I liked her!

Parking was free because we went on a weekday, i saw signage for paid parking so im not sure if it is always free. The waivers muat be completed before checkout. They wrist band you and then guide you to the next window where they will harness you. Following the harness you go through an intro training and then a practice course before being allowed on the main platform. The great thing about this is that they show you how to stay connected and safe. We started at yellow and made our way up to green level course. Next time we will attempt the blue and the black. The way it works is that once you are done with the training course they mark your badge with the final time that you will be able to go to the main platform and start a course. We were climbing for about 2 hours before we decided to call it! It's a great physical and mental stimulation. You can tell that they care about the course because everything was maintained. Additionally, the staff were soooo nice! Great team! There is also a gift shop with ice-cream and some small finger food if you need a bite while out there. I recommend bringing your own water because they cost 8 dollars! We will be back!!
