New Life strives to become a church that "glorifies God, enjoy his presence, and to proclaim the…read moreGospel" as a whole. Church has multiple services for children, youth, English speaking, and Korean speaking.
My review will be mainly on the English speaking ministry.
Background History:
New Life Mission Church of Colorado is a church plant of New Life Mission Church of Northern California. As of 2017, it celebrates 14 years of God's faithfulness. It belongs to the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA - https://www.pcanet.org/) denomination and part of the Rocky Mountain Presbytery (http://www.rockymountainpresbytery.info/).
Teaching:
Pastor loves the word. He is not a pastor that references the Scripture and never goes back. He is great at preaching the Scripture so that the members understand what each verse is referencing. You can see his passion and conviction when he's preaching. Most importantly, you will ALWAYS find Christ tied to his preaching. There are also quarterly topical studies where members are given an opportunity to dive into various topics biblically.
Worship:
Both leaders and members take worship seriously. In fact, the ministry continuously looks for an opportunity to make worship sweeter for the congregation. They have a full praise team (drums, bass, electric guitar, piano, guitar, and vocals) who are talented, humble, and intentional when it comes to choosing the right songs to compliment the day's sermon. Worship is definitely friendly to college, working professionals, married couples, and families. Currently children worship with the parents to promote a hybrid covenant worship style. However, children (1-6) are dismissed (if desired) during the sermon time for their own program.
Fellowship/Community:
People are very friendly, genuine, and welcoming. There are many opportunities to get to know the people through a light meal together after each Sunday worship, monthly demographic events, or through life groups (3 times a month on avg) which is designed to live life together in a deeper and intimate way in Christ. In fact, many members that move away from the church miss the community the most (along with the teaching). There's a "family" feel to the congregation and many members sacrifice their time and resources to serve each other.
Outreach:
Globally speaking, church supports various missionaries around the world. As senders, they support them prayerfully and financially. They also send various short-term (on avg 2 weeks) teams to provide support and encouragement to the missionaries. Locally, they have participated in various events to assist the homeless, struggling families, and relief efforts.
It is definietly worth visiting if you are looking for a church in the Colorado area that loves the LORD, teaches the word faithfully, and strives to be a community both within and outside of the church.
