So as to provide a better understanding of the teachings here, I have provided examples from 7 different sermons I have heard the pastor (Tim Bagwell) teach here:
1st Teaching Summary:
As with Zerubbabel, God teaches us to say, "Who are you O great mountain. Before me you shall become a plain". Are you speaking about your mountain or are you speaking to your mountain? Or are you silent, not using the power God gives you? Whenever you have the abiding presence of God, there is no mountain that cannot be moved, no river that cannot be crossed, no obstacle that cannot be broken.
2nd Teaching Summary:
Put on the helmet of salvation - keeping your salvation in mind protects your thoughts. Choose to be joyful. The good news is that of victory over sin and death - this brings peace by defeat of that which would attempt to use sin and death as weapons against you. Don't allow the death of dreams and visions. Walk in victory, standing your ground in that victory, and enforcing that victory as required, with the added strength that the assurance of victory provides you.
3rd Teaching Summary:
When you use the gifts and abilities given by God, this is the use of the rod given by God and, through this, the obstacles are overcome. Put on your strength: your strength is your gift. Instead of looking for a direction or seeking for the path to fulfillment of a desire, follow Him, and He will lead you in the right direction and to your desire.
4th Teaching Summary:
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Don't stay on the wrong side of the gate. Don't stay where the five loaves and two fish remain five loaves and two fish. Give thanks to Him; bless His name! Sanctify yourself and allow God to overcome that would stand between you and God. Then you will be identified with Him, you will be positioned for Him to fight your battle, so that you can possess your promise, that you can walk in His abundant promises once you are in covenant, once you are whole. Rationing is then over and you are ready to move to the higher place, the place of overflow.
5th Teaching Summary:
Your best is yet to come, and you do not have to go alone, the Lord of hosts will be with you; in fact, He will precede you. God has not given up on you, and he is the God who can create something from nothing. Move in God's truth, not in some opposing reaction to the truth. Take on the biggest obstacle to your blessing; it is your Jericho. God wants you to overcome the barrier. It is still not by your might and not by your power but by His spirit. The walls come down by faith.
6th Teaching Summary:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Knowledge of the truth must be followed by obedience in order to have revelation. But we must walk the walk and shout the shout -- this is God's designed plan. Speak it. Shout it. But do so with power of the revelated message, the power of God's spoken truth. God has given it into your hand. If God is for you, no power can stand against you. And God is for you.
7th Teaching Summary:
God wants to bless you, but God wants your heart right more than he wants to bestow the blessing. Your approval or disapproval means nothing to Him. Your worship must be Jesus centered - and your love of God is demonstrated by obedience to him. The information in the word must become revelation in you. Let the word of God dwell richly in you - hide it in your heart - that you may be transformed and have revelation, and have revelation power. Some of you are only one revelation away from walking in the fullness of the promise of God.
So that is a sampling of 7 different sermons. This is a Christian church, with teachings based upon the full Bible. It is a place where the pastor's heart is to see each person walk in the fullness of everything God has for them (and this including God's blessings of good health, good relationships, spiritual gifts, peace, and soundness of thinking among other blessings), and for that person to truly know God and His power. It is also a place where God shows up, and demonstrates His presence and power.
I have seen and learned an overflow of good things at this church, including some bona fide miracles.
As the pastor here often says, "You are who God says you are."
