Don't do business with them. Don't fall into the trap of your contractor hiring them at a premium price. Every one is a fraud in this whole chain of process. Negotiate your price. Do not do business with this company! Do not let your prime contractor hire this company! Don't let them onto your property! VERT Environmental was subcontracted by SERVPRO on my property insurance claim. A couple of months later, I started getting harassed with several threatening phone calls, letters, and emails demanding payment for an asbestos test ($845) without so much as an attached work authorization. I followed up with my insurance company, who called VERT and verified that they in fact had been paid for their services. Even if there was a mix up in their accounting department, why would you harass the customer and NOT the prime contractor who hired you? I almost was tricked into paying $845 out of pocket because VERT couldn't handle their paperwork. read more

The folks at Vert Environmental responded quickly to my request for silica testing at location of ours in Riverside,Ca. They also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs when we needed a decibel test at this location. They are extremely affordable and quick with test scheduling and getting results back. I've been dealing with many environmental testing companies across the country for the last two years in my position and I can firmly say the guys and girls and vert environmental have been by far the best to work with. They were brought in by Clear Coast Restoration after flooding in home June of 2022. They brought in a 2 gallon bug sprayer w a solution that I have no idea what it was, H2O, Bleach?to apply to all exposed wood. I was told this was a necessary cleaning after drying and testing was never mentioned , I never witnessed any samples being collected. There was no lab testing received by me the homeowner and the insurance company Farmers denied payment as they are there for Clear Coast Restoration protection to say that they didn't leave mold in the area. First thing I get in the mail a ridiculous looking Lien threatening demand for $1000. Seriously not a bill, an opening threat. I called Insurance and told they don't cover testing I know as I had already paid for Asbestos testing where I was sent actual lab test results. I called Clear Coast and was told it was a cleaning service and would be submitted as such. This was the last service I received from Clear Coast and was told their in house designer would contact me the following week July 8 about rebuilding the bath and kitchen. Learned from him by text my contract w Clear Coast was only covering the clean up and I had to sign a new building contract.Weeks not responding and refusing to even schedule I was texted in August that maybe he could start in October. So essentially ghosted. NEVER a bill or test results from VERT and now I got a threatening phone call and after I told them that they never supplied test results she tried to twist , " so you're saying you can't pay today" no I'm saying prove to me you did any testing. She confirmed my email address and was going to email me a supposed contract I signed as proof. Well it's 30 minutes later no email yet, not sent to spam folder. So I search Yelp to see this company has zero reviews. Well here is the first. read more

Crap company to trust! They are a bunch salesman and will test your house and do a horrible job . They are in with water companys and the get referred from the mitigation (water damage) companys to test you building material for asbestos. Do not let them in your home . Call other testing companys, there are tons more companys that do the same job but not a bunch of finaglers . read more

Had a slab leak in my home October of 21. Plumber came in to reroute the water line, when he opened up the wall there was a little water so he recommended American Response Team to take care of the dryout then they called Vert Environmental to check for Asbestos, I've had 2 other much worse leaks that required dryout that didn't need to check for asbestos all along I was thinking American Response was taking care of that since they called them in. Vert was in my home for no more than 20 min. Had me sign a paper with no dollar value and I never saw the results of their test. Ins. Didn't pay for any of this but that's another story. So I paid the plumber and the dryout company and thought it was a done deal. 1 or 2 weeks later I get a email invoice from Vert for $805 I called them and told them to contact American Response since they called them. I didn't hear from them again until July or Aug of this year almost 2 years later. After going back and forth about it and them threating to place a lean on my property I paid them. I think companies should be more upfront by giving customers estimates before starting the work and yes kinda my own fault for not asking enough questions but this won't happen to me again. Bottom line don't deal with Vert Environmental, their BBB rating is a C+ and they are not accredited. Kinda Shady read more

Friendly staff made the most out of our experience. The inspection was quick, thorough, and results were instant.

I got billed today by this company, and they charged me $1250, and never sent me an invoice. So I called them asking about the charges and they told me they have to take a minimum of 6 samples for two areas, but that they took 12, which billing could not explain or justify. I was told it was going to be 790+ $35 per sample. So basically they did two separate samples for the drywall even though it's the exact same drywall upstairs and downstairs, they did two separate samples because they were different textures. I explained to them that they are only two different textures because we just re-textured the downstairs and that it is the exact same drywall behind the new texture. They argued with me that it didn't matter and they still have to test if it's different textures. So that's $100 because we recently, not in 1981 textured and painted our walls. Then they tested our vinyl floor in the master bathroom that's barely hanging on by a thread that we planned to remove ourselves, and tested the glue that's barely holding it down. So we paid an extra $200 for some vinyl and glue we could've just torn out for them, instead of having them test it. Would've been great to have been given that option in the first place, or to know what they were going to test so I could have removed it. read more

Do not use this company. I had a water leak in my house and contacted a restoration company. They sent out Vert environmental in July. I paid the restoration company almost 7k. As far as I knew Vert was included in this payment. In October I receive a letter from Vert threatening to put a lien on my house for not paying for the mold testing they did. They sent me a request for payment, demand for payment and final demand for payment all in one letter. They insisted they emailed me a link for a bill but after scouring my email I came up with nothing. If you're going to threaten peoples homes maybe you should actually mail a physical bill instead of just assuming the homeowner isn't going to pay. read more
