The dog just darts for mine who is just wondering around the park and this last time made contact with my dog and bit her and rammed into her butt. I confronted the owner and she acted like her dog did no wrong and didn't show any aggression. Then later she put her dog on the leash and it went after a different dog but she still claims the dog "showed no aggression". Great area but unfriendly dogs.

Along with these there are bathrooms a drinking fountain, a baseball field, and basketball courts. Surrounding the entire park is a pretty large pathway that i would say is anywhere from 0.5mi to 1mi long. Finally there is tons of parking space and a fee pull-up bars on the far left side of the park.

I was looking for…read morethe Lillian Anderson Arboretum and missed their drive and ended up following the sign for the Oshtemo Township Park. Boy, did we make the right turn! The park has 70 acres that includes tennis courts, playground, disc golf, pavilions, and walking trails. Even though the trails were snow covered, they were easy to follow. There are a lot of signs to make sure you know where you are. The forested area of the park is beautiful with rolling hills and as an added bonus you can connect to the Lillian Anderson Arboretum trails. I'm so glad we spent a few hours on a chilly Sunday exploring this beautiful area just west of Kalamazoo.

If you are watching a game here there are seats in the stands which are chilly, so dress warm. There are also some observation windows in the hallway above the rink which are warmer. Hurray for a bit of good news amid an abysmal year. Tests came back for the beach staffers who were…read moreshowing potential Covid symptoms and they received the all-clear. It's freezing out today so the beach is a no-go right now, but it's wonderful to have the option available. They've got another beach campfire event, drive in movie, and drive in concert scheduled at the park this month as well. We appreciate their efforts to provide social but socially distanced events, although we hope they'll do a better job hiring local and/or talented bands for future summer concert series.
