He was shoving furniture around and near chased us out of the furniture section. Pushing a heavy flat furniture box right at my childs feet nearly knocking her down and right behind my back. I turned around to see her pinned up against large standing piece of furniture. The manager never apologized. He just glared wide-eyed and said "I was watching. I have kids of my own!" This employee should not be working so closely to customers that if they take a step back they are going to get hit by what he is kicking around. Especially near children who often move abruptly and sporadically, especially when frightened. This is a threat to public safety. I will NOT be going there again. And I don't suggest going there with children. It is not a safe place and does not uphold community integrity.

After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

I hired George and his clowns to do a patio and pool deck. I signed contract and mailed a deposit check. The work was supposed to start in a week. 3 weeks later I had to call him to find out when they were going to start. Really wanted to have it done by the 4th of July. It took me week of calls for him to finally return my call. His excuse was the color was on back order. I called Carraras in N Clarendon and asked about the color I had chosen and they were never out of stock. Lies after lies from this operation. Well they finally started my work (month later). I was concerned about the work being done. They show up late and leave early. I came home from work everyday to inspect the work being done. I noticed some holes that were dug in my yard and covered back with sod. It was a hole they dug to bury concrete. Needless to say I was not happy. I paid for removal, not to have it buried in my yard. When I questioned it was passing the buck on to the employees. Then I had to hire a company to come and remove the concrete that fell in the pool. Very, very poor customer service from them and very very bad job. A year has gone by and I have cracks all over the place and the concrete looks like garbage. Its pitted and has no shine. So much for a decorative patio. I was told must have used salt on it. WHAT?? I expressed that I paid over 10k for this job and it shouldnt look like this in less than 12 months. He says no warranty and it was a cold winter and frost caused the cracks. It took them 3 weeks to do a job that was only supposed to take 1 week. I ended up hiring another company to come and jack hammer the entire job again. This time I didnt have it stamped but these guys were much more professional and started and finished when stated. They found lots of flaws in their work. The biggest one that I didnt even notice until pointed out was they cut into my house siding to put up some board that we cant figure out why. No flashing or anything used to keep rain out of the seem. The new guys fixed everything and gave me a 5 year warranty and you guessed it so far no issues. I would give them negative stars if possible but I cant. So if you are shopping around to have a concrete job done dont use these people.
