The flowers are lovely, but on my visit, the gentleman in charge had an attitude that was not so lovely. I was driving my 24 ft motor home and pulled over in their driveway to let the truck behind me pass. Before I pulled out, I noticed the flowers, and thought it was worth checking out. I pulled ahead to clear the driveway and got out to see what they had. The gentleman began yelling at me that people couldn't see how to get in with me parked ahead of the entrance. So I got back I in and backed up to the other side of the entrance. When I got out I grabbed my two canes and began to walk to the flowers. He approached me and proceeded to tell me that when I first pulled in, a car drove by with it's blinker on, but didn't turn in when it saw the camper. I apologized and explained I hadn't planned on coming in, but was intrigued by the flowers when I saw them. I explained I noticed the cleome on display and that I have been looking for some. He then told me in a condescending tone that cleome is an annual not a perennial. I said, "Yes, I know". Then he continued to complain about the parking. "Why didn't you just drive into the driveway?" Again, I reminded him that I hadn't intended to come in, and the parking lot was rather small for a large RV to manuever in. Then he told me he had worked with disabled people for almost 30 years including teaching them how to drive. Seriously?! I said "I know how to drive". His reply was, "Well then why didn't you come in the driveway?" My response was, "Listen, I'm just going to leave. I am sorry you lost the other sale, but now you are going to lose mine as well. He stormed off. It was really disappointing. I wish the service was as pleasant as the flowers. I truly meant no harm. I was just trying to let the guy behind me pass safely, and then wanted to check out his flowers. read more
