While exiting the parking lot of a small retail center, I came across this shop. I spoke with one of the gentlemen working that day and explained my situation. He assured me it was something they could fix and that it would only take a day or so. A few days later, I finally remembered to bring the phone with me and dropped it off. Just two days later, the charging port had been replaced, and the phone worked as well as it did when it was new. The repair cost was about $58, which I thought was very reasonable. The team did a great job, and I really appreciate the quick turnaround. This isn't my main phone, but it's nice to have a reliable backup again.

I brought my sons pc that I built myself in to have a new power supply installed (didnt want to risk frying everything over a misplaced plug). They said it would be $90 which is very high considering i bought my own power supply but fine. Its a safe bet so i agreed. I go to pick it up and it was $130. When I asked where the other $40 came from they claimed it was for thermal paste ($5 a tube). The thing is, to install a power supply there is absolutely no reason to remove the heat sync so the cpu isnt exposed so you wouldn't need to replace the thermal paste. So the extra charge that I didn't approve and wasn't necessary was forced on me. Furthermore, the fee was "internal cleaning/thermal cleaning" all fans are covered in dust. They weren't even removed much less cleaned so they didnt remove the fan so they didnt remove the heat sync and didnt expose the cpu or the thermal paste. I paid them but they run a disgusting business practice and take advantage of people who dont know any better.
