As an adult, I actually tolerate TJ Maxx now and I appreciate it for what it is - a discount department store chain. You can find some good deals on name brand apparel and goods here. I've been to this TJ Maxx in Statesboro a couple times. My girlfriend was considering buying some Samsonite carry-on luggage at this store. I like Samsonite, but I wasn't impressed with the rolling bags here. The selection and quality weren't the best. When it comes to luggage, you get what you pay for. I prefer Travelpro these days. We weren't able to find any of the dry shampoo my girlfriend likes, but she did purchase a bunch of bottles of hand soaps for her apartment. They had all sorts of varieties that looked unique. I browsed through the men's clothing section and didn't see anything of note. We did pick up a bag of what looked and tasted like green tea Werther's sitting on a shelf near the check-out counter. They did not taste good. Service has been good. This TJ Maxx is located at the Statesboro Crossing shopping center near Statesboro Mall and Walmart. Other big box retailers at this shopping center include Ulta, Petco, Books-A-Million, Rack Room Shoes, and Hobby Lobby. The shopping center is clean and looks well-maintained. I'm sure I'll be back.

My mother was asking her questions on certain products and she was really rude. I asked her several questions upon check out and she was flat out ignoring me. She even tossed back our change. Not sure what her problem was but I brought it to one of the managers attention. If people don't want to be at work they should be sent home. Instead of having too wait 3 weeks to have our equipment picked up, serviced and returned she worked magic and we walked out with a new (similar) model piece of equipment. Pretty sure because she took the time to talk to us and discovered the amount of work I had piled up and knew the predicament I was in at the time. She even agreed and arranged to have my new equipment tested by a tech before we left the store to ensure it worked properly. Even the rest of the staff was nothing short of great making us feel right at home. Everyone was very polite, friendly and eager to assist us and other customers in the store with whatever they needed. No high pressure, no feeling unwelcomed or like we were alone in the store with no assistance. Always apologizing for us having to wait when honestly we have waited longer for way less elsewhere.
