She found just the right color and size she wanted. When they went to pay for it and use the coupon that Patagonia sent, it was REFUSED. The reason, the clerk gave was they don't get enough money from Patagonia for coupons. So they refuse to take coupons for items they sell. I live in Savannah, GA which is a one-hour drive from TC Outdoors in Statesboro, GA. The Savannah area population is 14 times greater than Stateboro's and other than pawn shops we have 12 gun stores including BassPro/Cabela's and Dick's Sporting Goods. Meanwhile Statesboro only has two locally-owned gunshops one of which is TC Outdoors. It follows that gun and accessory prices should be less in Savannah than Statesboro and even better deals are usually obtainable through big volume websites. Shopping for a new Tikka T3X 30-06 rifle I invested a lot of time gathering prices from all the above sources. At $105 below MSRP TC Outdoors beat them all. I also needed a scope, range finder, shotgun, hard-shell gun case, and shotgun ammo. Knowing exactly what I wanted and having researched prices through the big volume websites, TC Outdoors prices were the same to only 10% higher for the shotgun shells. Surprisingly they had everything I wanted in stock and to support a locally-owned business I was happy to pay slightly more for the ammo. TC's owner, Ty, and his staff are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and mounted/bore-sighted the rifle scope for me. I reload my rifle and handgun ammo and was glad to see TC also stocks those items plus abundant fishing or other outdoor gear and accessories.

Over the weekend he decided he'd rather get the gen 6 in black and change the color. I paid $550 (plus tax etc - $600 total) for the gen 5. I expected to eat the tax, fees and maybe a $50 restocking fee ($100 or so) and then buy the new one $700. They would have made $700 plus $100 on the one I returned and still gotten $550 by selling it again. Instead they wanted to give me $400 for a gun I just gave them $600 for three days ago. I haven't even taken it out of the box. The kid (and I mean kid) was smug the whole time. He tried to tell me that it had deprecated $150 in three days. I even offered to meet them in the middle. They were essentially shaking me down for what ammounted to a $200 restocking fee. Now either they overcharged me for the gun a few days ago or they were trying to screw me on the exchange, it's one or the other. They tried to get the $200 profit they made the first time, plus another $200 on the return or $400 profit on a gun they say is only worth $400. Instead they lost the sale of a new gen 6 along with a customer. I'll never go there again and I'd suggest you don't either.

All the clothes and accessories are organized and clean. Even the clearance clothes have all of the same items hung together, and then sorted by size. Clothes and constrtare not greatll, but also ok. Lots of polyester. Fabrics are thick enough to be not-see-through. Maybe not tailored, but they have changing rooms so you can try it on. Something I feel is great, is that everything had prices marked accurately. That sounds like something that would be a given, but it is not. Walmart does not post prices, and wants you to scan each thing with the app (while on store wifi and while logged in so they can spy on you), and store like Five Below just do not post a price and you are supposed to deal with it. Cato had the prices all posted, and when I check out everything was accurate. Including clearance, where they had put the new price on each tag by crossing out the old one and putting the new one on. This store is all about straight talk. Lots of deals to be had. They had cute sweater dresses and coats for winter. And a clearance rack with costume jewelry and sunglasses, and I stocked up to give to kids at birthday parties when my girls (ages 5 and 7) get invites, because putting a statement necklace or sunglasses in a gift bag with the main gift is fun for kids. They also will wrap each thing separately, like in a tissue, so nothing gets damaged. Basically, a clean organized clothes store with all the prices posted accurately and all the clothes sorted by style and size, so it is easy to shop fast and be in and out fast.

For a small city like Statesboro, this is a nice sporting goods store to have. It's cut in the mold of a big box retailer like Dick's Sporting Goods though not as nice and there's more of a focus on guns and outdoor, hunting, fishing, and camping gear. As a Georgia Tech alum, I was surprised to see they actually carry a decent amount of Georgia Tech apparel. In the state of Georgia, outside of metro Atlanta, Georgia Tech apparel can be hard to find. Not here. Of course, they have apparel for UGA as well plus Atlanta's pro sports teams (Braves, Falcons, and Hawks). As a golfer, I was impressed with the golf department. They call theirs the "Fairway Center." From apparel to equipment, they carry several major brands including Callaway, Nike, TaylorMade, Titleist, and Under Armour. They have everything you need to play including modern styles on shoes and apparel and some current club models, particularly when it comes to drivers and putters. They also carry clubs/sets for junior/kid golfers. If you're a college sports fan, they have golf bags with various school logos on them (not surprisingly, they are mainly SEC schools). There's a simulator where you can hit balls and try different clubs out. The staff can do club fittings and they can re-grip clubs too. When I visited, the most popular section of the store was the gun section. They stock a wide variety of rifles and handguns, ammo, and accessories (e.g. sights). If you're looking for a secure place to store your gun collection, they sell safes in various sizes. Most of the safes are big so they can accommodate rifles. For the ladies, they offer concealed carry purses in a variety of "fashionable" styles. I had fun checking out all the camo gear. Currently, this is one of three Dunham's locations in Georgia. The other two are in LaGrange and Rome. This is a nationwide chain with over 230 locations. Most of the stores are located in smaller cities like Statesboro.

Said I needed my license, which I didn't have because I didn't drive. So violating my rights that I was given by the permit.
