We are very patient people but eventually we would get fed up with the employees at the national chains . They treated us like they were doing us a favor -- almost as if -- we were their employees and not customers ! Inevitably , we were interrupting them on their cells, eating food ( snacks ) , and gossiping amongst themselves . Prescriptions To Geaux actually knows their customers and makes it a point to become familiar with their needs . I have also found that they are every bit as competitive on pricing as any national chain . My wife works downtown which has made it even more convenient ! I shop at Steven Madden all the time (online) and went in recently. The sales associates did not seem like they were mentally at work. I had a shoe in my hand and this guy who worked there literally walked passed me to the back. Another guy ended up assisting me. He literally handed me shoes and I never saw him again. Ended up leaving my shoes on the counter and walked out. Considering there were only 2 or 3 customers in the store I had a much different expectation. Years ago I worked in retail, actually a men's and women's shoe store and this level of service was never acceptable esp if we wanted to meet our goals. Back to shopping online for me!
