I strongly recommend NOT USING this reseller of Verizon. They are trained to one this and one thing only, get you to upgrade your phones. They are not well trained sales peoples and have an ignorance to how Vz plans and promotions work. I am currently working with Vz corporate to submit a complaint about this reseller. Be forewarned - if you buy a device from Apple's website, this store will not connect it to your existing Verizon account. TLDR Version - I believe the manager of this store intentionally confused my 73 year old father into purchasing a device from his store instead of using the brand new one I bought him from Apple. Put the hard sell on him and mentioned several times how he could save $40 buying from his store because no sales tax in NH. There is another review saying they took advantage of someone's elderly mom. Taking advantage of people who don't understand tech is predatory and just plain gross. I purchased an Apple Watch from Apple.com and had it sent to my father so he could connect it at his local store. I had called the store in Seabrook to make sure this was okay, and they said it would be no problem. For whatever reason my Dad decided to go to this location in Hampton. When my Dad brought the watch in they would not connect it for him. He called me and put me on the phone with the manager. The manager told me that connecting the brand new cellular enabled Series 7 AppleWatch that I purchased could not be added to my Dad's account because it wasn't a Verizon compatible device. He said that when I purchased the watch I should have specified which carrier I would be using. Anyone who has ordered from Apple knows that they don't even ask for this information. Whether you buy from their website or a brick and mortar, they sell you the item and your carrier sets up a line and connects it to your account. I have since contacted both Apple and Verizon corporate who confirmed that there is no such thing as a carrier specific Apple product be it phone, tablet, or watch. While the manager said he couldn't connect the watch my father had in hand, he was more than happy to sell him a watch himself and urged my Dad to return the brand new device I had already purchased. The icing on the cake is that after I hung up the manager told my dad that I yelled at him. What a tactless thing for him to say to a customer. Not to mention totally untrue. I was firm and pushed back when he gave me incorrect information but I did not raise my voice or become abusive. Not even a little. Not only is that not my style but I understand how customer service works. People are much more likely to help you if you don't resort to hysterics so I always keep my cool. If he can't handle a customer politely pushing back on information that is patently untrue, then frankly he shouldn't be working in a public facing position. So I'm still not sure what happened here. Either this store is incompetent, or when an older man who doesn't understand tech comes in they see dollar signs. Either way, just go to another store. This is the 2nd time I have gone to the North Hampton location out of convenience for help with my Verizon phones. And yet again left having to pay MORE per month then was told to me by the Salesmen. They are very good at taking in circles to confuse the consumer, making vague statements and just blatant lies when it comes to selling the product. I went in to have help getting a discount applied to my account, which would bring it down by $20.00. The salesman Josh then jumped in to say he could get us ALL new iPhone 14's for the same monthly bill I was currently paying. I asked multiple times for explanations of what my 'new' monthly costs would be, and was told my bill would be going DOWN by $2.00 a month. My bill has gone UP $65.00 per month. I have tried to contact the store & salesman directly multiple times and left detailed messages with no responses. I finally was able to go In to the store to try to figure out the issue. No resolution at all. The 3rd salesman, while very nice , just did more of the double talk, made excuses and just generally kept dodging my direct questions. i asked multiple times for him to call over Josh, who was instrumental in the initial transaction and was the one who DIRECTLY told me by monthly bill would be going DOWN by $2.00 a month, however the 3rd salesman never called him over, just kept making excuses. Kudos to the Cellar sales company for training their employees to be fraudulent and effective salesmen. If you go here, make sure you get EVERYTHING IN WRITING! I purchased a new Apple I phone at this store and was mislead about the purchase contract. I was told I could turn in my phone and receive a $300 credit for it. When I went to pay for the purchase, I was told that I had to wait to wait to pay for the purchase price in full until the end of 30 days. After 30 days, I called to make full payment, and I was told I had to come into the store to pay of the balance owed. When I went to the store, I was given the run around and basically told that I could only pay off the bill if I gave up the $300 credit. If you want to buy an I phone in the Portsmouth, NH, area, you are much better off going to the fully accredited Verizon store in Newington than this franchise store in North Hampton. read more

We were new to the area- actually the state! We needed to upgrade our phones and handle a few other things with our Verizon service. We saw the huge verizon sign and ads out front and went in. The employee who helped us never mentioned this was cellular sales and not a verizon store. He sold us on insurance- which we always get thru verizon- but this new insurance had nothing to do with verizon. When my husband had an issue with his phone then we realized our mistake! They told us to contact verizon. Being from out of state we had never seen a cellular store so misleading from outside. We fixed the phone issue thru verizon and had to cancel the insurance and get it thru the real corporate verizon. Yes, maybe we should have looked closer at the signage. But if we had known where we were once inside and speaking with the sales guy, we would have left. It was very misleading and dishonest. Worse than used car salesmen. They take advantage of people, especially the elderly. Don't trust anything that comes out of their mouths. The salesman who sold my mother a dud of a phone last year no longer works there. (Funny how a phone's battery can go completely dead after only 2 months but that's not their problem). The salesman who tried to help my mother this year had the same business policy as the one who left -- use the double speak method to confuse and fluster an elderly individual until you have talked them into buying just about anything just so they can get out of the store (don't want a 2 year contract - don't worry they'll just call it by other names until you no longer understand what you are agreeing to). read more

So I was told after leaving my review that Carol would call me, and she did. She called and heard my story, but then told me she had to call the store where my purchase took place. A few days later I got a voicemail saying the sales rep said he told me I was not eligible for the rebate WHICH IS NOT TRUE, AND THE WHOLE PROBLEM. She sent a follow up email so I called and left a message and responded to her email and still never heard back. Tip: don't go after dark -- no parking lot lights at all. Please fix! Service: I was happy that they were able to help me with placing the clear plastic protector for my smart phone. Slightly unhappy, that they didn't properly clean it. I've been to one place, where she uses special water to make it shiny and clean. I still have some residue beneath the screen. He did the best he could. To appreciate this store more, I've been to one Verizon store, and they refused to help me with anything. They took care of me right away. No wait. So, I have a =). My friend couldn't understand why her monthly bill varies so much. The rep did all that he could to eliminate the unnecessaries. They are very efficient, very helpful and friendly! I am not very tech savvy and these guys helped me load my Android Gallery pics to Google photos and called me back when I was at my home PC to assist in downloading the pics. I didn't know who to turn to but these guys were more than happy to help! I was in need for a cell upgrade but they never pushed the issue and helped me out with what I needed. HORRIBLE - don't buy phones from these guys. Bought brand new phone, broken, called customer service started claim, went in to get replacement. They said I broke charging port. I said, yea so? Its a brand new phone 16 days old. Well I was a day late although I called and got claim number from Customer Service at day 10. So I'd have to put in a claim to insurance co. HORRIBLE Service. Ken Fothergill, Salesperson at N. Hampton, NH Verizon, went "Above and beyond the call of duty" today. We went in to add a friend of family to our plan. She purchased an IPhone on Amazon, had put a pre-paid Sprint/Boost SIM card in one month prior. Could not activate Verizon SIM card, was told by Sprint/ Boost Cartier that the phone was locked after she used the prepaid SIM card and would be for 12-month period even though she did not have a contract. Ken spent easily a couple of hours helping us resolve this scam. Boost Mobile told us it was their policy that once you use a one time pre-paid SIM card, they lock your phone for a 12-period, and the choices were to keep putting money towards the prepaid plan OR she could sell the phone for $100.00 to Boost. Ken pursued the problem steadily with impressive professionalism. He constantly remained calm, respectful and polite to the representative and was able to get the phone unlocked! Jim and Eric were very helpful in trying to resolve my Galaxy 7 randomly rebooting problem. They explored every remedy, as did Samsung. In fact, Samsung even replaced my Galaxy 7 which I initially purchased in November of 2016. The problem persists with the new phone. It seems the only solution at this point is to trade in the Galaxy 7 and purchase a different brand phone incurring a loss of several hundred dollars to me. This is an unsatisfactory solution, and I'm very displeased with my Galaxy 7. I am, however, very impressed with the effort Jim and Eric expended to help me. read more

Well have to say this,will be my last visit to Seabrook NH Verizon, for now on I'll take the ride a few extra minutes down the street, today went to Verizon seabrook to ask about my Samsung 6 it would not charge, I am not a lover of this phone but have to pay for it before getting rid of it, the salesman Phil helped me he plugged my phone into a charger for a minute said well your phone is no good have to get a new one, I said I have insurance right ? Nope he said then discovered yes I did, with the very little effort he put into fixing my problem I didn't believe for sure I needed a phone, I went home found another phone decided I would just use the old one, went to Verizon in the Newington NH mall well the guy took about 2 minutes to discover I needed a new charger !!! I originally bought both my wife's and my own phones with Verizon at this location. The experience has been terrific. My wife goes in any time she can't figure something out& everyone is always pleasant,professional and helpful. I have returned recently twice because i needed to change yo a phone with better Global capabilities. William& the other young man I dealt with were both outstanding,courteous and capable. Do not EVER go to this store. I bought a phone back in January and they told me because of what I spent I could get a "jetpack" and that there was NO catch with it. LIARS!!! I got my first bill and I was being charged 20 dollars a month for the device. After speaking with Verizon and the store, they told me to return it. I did and I gave it to the manager "ken" I know his name because I ASKED him. Now I have been fighting it since then because they said I never returned the device. Ken dodges the phone calls, Bill was supposed to reach out to the higher people and call me back and he never did. I call today and get Travis who tells me there is nothing we can do about it because it's been so long. He refuses to do an inventory check to even see if my device is there. They are horrible and I was even told by Verizon wireless that they are in indirect store and only care about sales and I absolutely agree with that. First of all something that is easily overlooked by customers: this is an authorized Verizon re-seller, they are not actually associated with Verizon Wireless, the company. The closest company store is in Portsmouth on Woodbury Ave. Second: all reps work on commission, something that most of them conveniently forget to mention. Lastly, if you expect an actual customer service, please lower your expectations. They simply don't care enough to pay attention to you, the customer, beyond the initial sale of devices, accessories, plans, etc. They are skilled at the game of Ignore the Customer's request & hope he'll just go away. Don't bother calling you rep, because he will never call you back. They don't care if you bring your dollars back to the store, because they already made their initial money off of you. Kind of like a car dealership mentality. Whoever trains this staff needs a lesson themselves.
