Good grief...LOL. So I'm on the road. I spend the night in Farmington. I woke up this morning and my phone shows no SIM card/no service. I pull the card and reinsert and restart phone. Nothing. I go to this Verizon store. I tell the guy what happened and he say it could be SIM card but might be phone. He says he wants to pull my SIM card and put it in one of their phones. He walks away and I tell my wife he's working us for a new phone. He comes back a short time later and says the SIM card is good and I need a new phone. I tell him I'm good and I'll deal with it when I get home. He continues to work me for a new phone and my wife asks about putting my SIM card in her phone and hers in mine and he says he already checked and from "what he saw the card worked." He adds they are a sales store not a repair store and there may be a fix for the phone but he's not aware of it. We leave and go to the Verizon Store in Pagosa Springs. I don't tell the guy about the visit here but describe the problem. He says it's likely the SIM card, puts a new one in and my phone works fine. No charge. We give him a $20 tip for lunch and move on. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS IF YOU HAVE A TECH ISSUE. Go somewhere else or get a second opinion. read more

My elderly dad decided to change to Verizon less than a month ago. He was told that if he bought a new phone they would give him a better plan price. He was paying $35/mo. with ATT. After getting home with the phone he kept losing calls, often had no service, the phone frequently didn't ring, messages were not received, and the new plan cost $86/mo. So he decided to return the phone and move his service back to ATT. He and my mom spent 4 hours on Mon at this Verizon while being left sitting over and over again for "just 15 minutes more" by employee Cameron who talked to them like they were too ignorant to understand such a complicated task. Completely frustrated, they finally left having accomplished nothing with a promise from Cameron that he would meet them on Tues. and complete the refund. When they returned they were told by a different employee that they could only deal with Cameron but he wasn't there and would not answer his phone. Today (Weds), they went back in and were there another hour with Cameron before they were able to get a refund. Go to ATT and ask for Trenise. She really knows what she is doing and is respectful. If you don't care about being lied to and jerked around for 3 days, then go to this Verizon and ask for Cameron. read more
