Horrible service. The sales team misleads by quoting inaccurate Verizon pricing. When I received my bill for $20 more a month than quoted by rep, the rep and manager wanted nothing to do with me or the issue. Verizon customer service placed inquiries into the issue and said it would take 2 weeks. Why would customers go through this process for a phone? This store takes advantage of people and have no client service. Do not buy any accessories from them - overpriced and bad quality. I will never recommend Verizon or Cellar Sakes to anyone. I can't possibly explain the frustration of being a Verizon customer and going to a Verizon store!! The one on Independence Way in Brewster, omg, this place is truly despicable. Either the staff is completely incompetent and know absolutely nothing about the products or services. They flat out lie or embellish the facts. Or you get the snake, the one who lies while looking you in the eye and tries talking you into services, plans and products you don't need or want. I recommend you do your research online, get as much information as you can, have a plan before walking in and stay focused. Also, call ahead to make sure they have the item(s) you are looking for. This store rarely has new technology on hand, they tend to push accessories or something you don't want if they don't your item isn't in stock. The Verizon store in Brookfield is a decent place, staff seems more educated and they have more in stock. read more

At first encounter, we felt Cindy Curran was being honest and looking to get us the best deal. She advised us to upgrade to the LG-7 instead of the LG-8 because we'd save on the monthly payment for having a phone that was virtually the same. As the transaction progressed, we felt Cindy was trying to encourage us to make some unnecessary purchases just to raise our cost. One example was trying to have us buy the car charger for $40 when she knew the wires we had worked well with our car adapter. Even when my wife asked her if the wires from our Google Pixel were compatible, she said, "absolutely not... you need the new ones." We later found this to be untrue. She tried to get us to buy the wireless chargers and when we said we didn't need them, she said, maybe we'd get them for each other for Christmas. We did agree to buy covers for our phones. The thing that turned us off mostly was that she seemed to want to sneak some hidden charges past us. The most obvious was when she told us that each phone would have a $35 per phone "device set up charge". She said this as she was closing out the ticket, almost trying to sneak it past us. Naturally we protested. Had she been candid about this charge, I would have never agreed to have her assistance and would have set everything up myself. Cindy relented and agreed to make the charges $10 per phone, which is a $50 difference, but we feel we should not have paid anything for this. Another problem she had was she would not give us a direct answer to what my monthly bill would be. When I asked, "Will it be $250?", she replied, "About..." never giving me an exact monthly payment. To make matters worse, I tried to get in touch with customer service on Friday August 2nd, during business hours and kept getting the runaround. No live person was available to speak with me and when I spoke with the live representative via text, he ignored my repeated requests to put me in touch with a live person by phone. I know now I'm stuck in a contract, but I will definitely reevaluate whether or not I will remain with Verizon. I find their practices a little shady. read more

Horrible experience! I came in with an iphone 6 that wouldn't charge. The manager Roy tricked me into buying the largest most expensive phone in the store that i didn't even want by saying they had "a deal with apple". He told me that he was trading my old phone in and I only had to pay the taxes on the new phone. My bill ended up going up $50 dollars a month. Called verizon and they said this guy MADE UP THE WHOLE THING! This store is not even affiliated with verizon or apple. Manager screamed at my mother on the phone, really unprofessional, called her annoying! Now I am stuck with a phone I don't want and a huge monthly phone bill! They treat their customers horribly and they have really slimy business practices. Do not do business here! read more

Beware, Employee Ivo-Roy Brown totally scammed my daughter. Her iPhone 6 had an issue. She needed to get it repaired or replaced. This worker lied and said she could swap out her old iPhone 6s for a iPhone 8 plus because of a deal with Apple. He stated because of the problems Apple admitted with the iPhone 6 series basically she would get a new upgraded Apple phone if she paid off the balance on the old iPhone 6 which was $135. She did. When she was presented with the paperwork that contracted her to BUY the iPhone 8 plus she said "wait this says I am buying the phone" and he said DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. Once Apple receives your old iPhone 6 they will adjust the bill and it will show that you have no balance for the iPhone 8 plus. She didn't even want the iPhone 8 plus she wanted a regular iPhone 7 but he said it is the only phone we have in stock. Since it was supposed to be a phone for phone trade she accepted the 8 plus. He said she would only see a small increase in the monthly insurance costs. When I got my monthly Verizon statement 27 days later surprised the cost of the iPhone 8 plus was charged $810 in 24 monthly installments I called the store and got the phone number for the store manager. I called the managers number and he said" Oh no I was sitting next to your daughter and the worker the whole time and he never said that" " The worker has been with Verizon for 12 years and he would never do that and your daughter was the one that got it wrong and also your daughter said that you ( her Mother) was annoying". I explained all the misleading/lying information the worker said to my daughter. The manager said no, no I heard it all. I said wait were you the person who sold my daughter the phone and he paused and then said "YES". He lied again the entire 18 minutes on the phone saying he was sitting next to the worker and heard the transaction. I am now stuck paying full price for an iPhone 8 plus because of this lying and manipulative worker. Please BEWARE and do not sign anything even if you are told it will be reversed when Verizon receives the old iPhone 6 phone. We are stuck but maybe this will help someone else. read more
