Prior to signing up, I was thinking to myself, "Why on earth is this course $1650?" After doing some additional research online about that the course entails, I came to a conclusion that it is a worthy investment. I then contemplated further on whether or not, I should sign up for the guided help or maybe I can just tackle this myself. I mean come on, I must have known a study tactic or two to have survived college exams and graduated with a decent GPA, that or someone made a huge error in admin. After I thought long and hard on what, at the time, seemed like a Jeopardy question, I signed up for the course with Ravi. Best decision I have made in that month, honest. You should have been there for all the lousy calls that I made in the month of February, it was bad, thank god it was only 28 days. Ravi, if you are reading this, how about adding to your resume, author of "GMAT for the dumbest of dummy"? The course, presented by Ravi, was so straight forward that I anyone and their mother can understand it. I am not much of a quant person, but I survived, and got most of the material down first hand. He spent time articulating and "dummy down" the overall question and explaining things in layman's terms so people who speaks English can have a chance of getting the question right. He also spent time covering strategies for each section and filtering out the "sucker answer" so you wont be trapped when you are faced with those type of questions. Mind you, I have diagnosed myself with selective ADHD with things that are not fun, and let be real, a 3 hrs online course is not fun. Even with this personal hurdle, I was able to sit still and stay focused because Ravi mastered a way to breeze through the course and retain his audience's attention by making the course interactive. Isn't that an oxymoron, an interactive online course? But he did. So, if you, my fellow selective ADHD friend, is still deciding whether or not you should take the course and whom you should the course with, TAKE IT WITH RAVI SREERAMA!!! By signing up for the course you also get a year's access to on demand videos of lessons and skill builders by Brian Galvin, test prep books (12 books, 1 per lesson), homework problems, online solution forums, live homework chatrooms, practice tests, and countless of other very useful and very helpful resources. If you break down the math, its only about $91 hr. and $275 a class (this is not bad at all people). After the 6 weeks, you still have access to videos of the recorded live lessons, instructors office hours and all the online materials and more. read more

Ravi makes it so so easy... experienced, funny with his anecdotes and characteristic laugh, and WANTS you to succeed. So I attended a live online course at Veritas Prep with Ravi Sreerama from 9 September to 18 October 2015. First, I must mention that I am Nigerian and also attended all my online classes from Nigeria where a steady and reliable internet is not a given. I, eventually, was able to get a moderate internet supply and was able to attend these classes. I am quite surprised at how Veritas made this so easy that it seems like I was part of the physical class by the use of side chats with Brigidette, follow up chats with Ravi during breaks and polls during classes. Veritas has a unique platform! Secondly, I was privileged to be tutored by The best; Ravi Sreerama. I know he's the best because I have interacted with a couple of tutors, had another tutor stand in for him on Word Problems, and have also attended some other classes such that I can easily stack tutors against each other. He has this uncanny ability to break problems down, make them look simple and also get you thinking in a particular way; thinking more like the test maker. In his words, \'if you can\'t spot the sucker answer, you just picked it\', \'fractions are friendly, decimals are deadly\', \'sometimes, you just need to dummy down\', \'always use the reward chart to validate your answers\'... He is gifted and maybe, you don't want to be tutored by someone else. He follows up on his students during the week, tries to understand areas where one is struggling during class and off the class, and also motivates you to push your limits. Veritas is lucky to have him. Thirdly, Veritas has a structure or method of learning coupled with materials that ensures you have the fundamentals, hone your skills, and master the test. So from Skillbuilders to classes with Ravi, to homeworks, on-demand courses, practice tests, online tutors to respond to questions and help you out with difficult problems etc, you are well equipped to score in the 90th percentile. I took my first GMAT in April and scored in the 50th percentile. Immediately after exiting the test center I called my parents and told them, "This score suggests that I'm average. I am not average. I am retaking the test." I'd studied on my own for four months up to that point and it clearly wasn't good enough, so I started looking around for courses I could take on the weekends. I live about three hours from the closest large city, so I knew I would have some difficulties finding classes. On top of that, I work ~50-60HRS/week and had just started a new relationship. Basically, I had zero free time. Reading the reviews, Veritas Prep was significantly higher rated than just about any other prep course--why wouldn't you want to learn from the best of the best? Granted, you'll pay a small fortune for it, but sometimes you have to pay money to make money. Looking through the available courses, I realized I was doomed to take an online class. I am easily distracted by the Internet and have always preferred small classes where you can get to know the professor, but this was the only option I had and I sure as heck wasn't going to pass up a chance to improve my score and get into the program of my dreams. Luckily, the first day of class put me at ease. Ravi Sreerama is an absolute riot to learn from. Combine a military father with an outdated fraternity paddle and you've got Ravi. He's sitting on your shoulder reminding you, "I don't need you to love this answer. Just like it more than the others," and shaming you for not catching the trick. You will never truly understand shame until you answer a question incorrectly and see his name pop up on your chat bar. Not to mention, I had a stellar group of classmates who I've kept in touch with since the course. I did have to learn about diligence and not creating distractions for myself, but turns out that was a great experience. I've already recommended several friends to Veritas Prep. read more

Ravi truly changed the way that I think about the GMAT exam. This guy really knows his stuff and accordingly he will direct your thinking along a path to make the exam considerably less daunting and towards the score that you need. I used to shiver at the thought of the GMAT, an exam that I postponed for over 3 years just because I deemed it to be too difficult. After hesitantly wising-up, I came across Ravi and decided to join his online classes. Boy was I glad to have done so! Ravi managed to show me exactly what the GMAT was testing, by aptly breaking down the sections and expanding upon the extent of what the GMAT actually examines. Whilst we would go through a number of questions to build a foundation, Ravi ensured that his students truly 'think like the testmaker' and go well beyond the core GMAT content. Ravi showed me exactly how one should go about studying for the GMAT, and that was exactly what the doctor ordered! He emphasised heavily on reflection and made sure that I learnt from all of my mistakes. He's a tough tutor but righteously so - the GMAT is not a forgiving exam! Accordingly, I made sure to always be on target and always give my best shot! Despite the vast number of students he teaches at any one time, Ravi made sure to give me one-on-one attention during and out of class. He has been an absolute rock during the difficult times and I owe it to him for all the success. It is safe to say that I no longer fear the GMAT as I am now able to see through its 'trickery', because Ravi manages to show his students the pattern of questions that come up in the exam. As a result, Ravi opened my eyes not only to the GMAT itself, but to the way I approached learning and studying as a whole. I took an online course with Veritas. I have nothing but good things to say about my instructor, Ravi, and the Veritas curriculum and platform. I am an English major, 6 years out of college, who came into the course with a 620. Three weeks after the course I scored a 730 (Q48, V42). I attribute this success directly to Ravi and the Veritas curriculum. On the advice of a friend, I came into this program having studied Quant with Target Test Prep for about three months. I found this helpful, but not entirely necessary. It really just meant that I already had a basic understanding of the "Skillbuilder" homework before the course began. The classes do not spend much time going over the mechanics of problems, instead focusing on strategy and higher order thinking. Thus the expectation is that you are willing to learn the mechanics on your own (through the skillbuilders, which are effective). I found this approach incredibly helpful, but you must do the skillbuilders to get the most out of the classes. Ravi was an absolutely incredible instructor. I never though I would look forward to spending three hours, two nights a week, in an online classroom, but I did. Ravi keeps the course interesting, keeps the class humble, and sets high expectations. He doesn't waste time; he believes that every minute of class is valuable time to be used imparting wisdom on his students. He is personable, and truly cares about the success of his students. I cannot say enough good things about him as an instructor. I am obviously thrilled about my performance. Before I took this class, I too read reviews about people going from 620s to 700s. I too was skeptical. I am more proof that the Veritas Program works, and that Ravi is an outstanding instructor. read more

I had the pleasure of taking the Veritas six week course with Ravi Sreerama. Before the course I scored a 500 on my first GMAT practice test, struggling with the content and pacing issues. I debated whether to spend the money to buy the books for self study, an on demand course, or a live online course. I decided to take the 6 week course with Ravi, cause I read his reviews of being a great teacher and this would force me to twice a week take a three hour course. Even with the course being on the computer, it was much better than most live classes I have been to in my life. Ravi would reach to you individually, whether he was calling you out for providing advice in a separate chat box. I got to the point where I was looking forward to each three hour class. Veritas provides you with more problems than you can every imagine completing and lots of practice test! You still have to put in the work, along with the two 3 hour courses per week, I took one practice test each work and around 1-2 hours of problems on days I did not have a class. Each week I took a practice test, I just focused on pacing, and strategy and scores started to improve. Half way thru the course my scores were now averaging in the upper 500s, lower 600s. I continued to put in the work and towards the end I was averaging around 650. I took the test on Monday and got a 700! The best practice test I had taken before that was 680. While I was taking the test, there was a lot of content I knew, but just tricks and traps that I was able to answer cause of everything I learned in Ravis class. I improved my score 200 points in less than two months. I 100% recommend Veritas as your study platform and Ravi as your teacher. It is worth every penny. read more

I was hesitant to take an online course. I was concerned about the effectiveness and the ability of the class to focus on individual student concerns. With that being said, Veritas Prep has mastered online teaching. The instructor Ravi and his assistant Megan created an amazing environment to learn and enjoy the class. I will always remember Ravi's laugh at the jokes. Ravi is intelligent and entertaining, exactly what you need with the GMAT. He engaged the class by connecting personally with each student and this gave the personal touch that I would have got in an in-person class. I choose him after reading on the forums that he's the best, and I'm really glad I did. He is an excellent teacher and I felt comfortable asking him questions and getting honest feedback. His engaging teaching style and genuine interest in his students' success make him an obvious choice. Furthermore, Ravi does a great job focusing on what students must know to be successful on the GMAT. He understands what the GMAT is about and expects a lot from you. Ravi is able to convey all of his knowledge and experience without wasting any time. He wants you to bring your A game to the table and follow his mantra "99% or BUST". I would highly recommend the Veritas online course and Ravi as the instructor. Coming into the course, I expected Ravi to exceed my expectations and guess what, he did just that. At first, I was very hesitant to spend so much money and also sign up to an online class. I am a person like to interact and communicate within a classroom environment. After going through a lot of reviews of the GMAT prep classes, I finally chose Veritas the Live-Online class with Ravi. Two words to describe my experience: "No Regrets!" Ravi has a lot of tips, tricks and strategies on how to approach the GMAT problems and get them right within the 2-minutes time frame. These tips and strategies are also very helpful in getting a higher score. At the end of the class, you might look at the answer choices of a problem, and say "that's a garbage answer!" or "Hmmm...looks like trying to trap me with the sucker choice!" or simply look at a problem and say to yourself, "How do I dumb it down." He is passionate about teaching as his students success becomes his own success. Ravi is also very knowledgeable about the GMAT and how it might try to trick you on a lot of problems. If you have the chance to take an online class with Veritas, take it with Ravi. In the three hours, you will not be bored and you will LEARN A LOT! He keeps his class actively engaged that you won't even feel like it's an online class. By the way, Veritas Prep also offers a lot of homework problems (practically anything you will see on the GMAT), 12 practice problems and "Homework Help". If you want to break 700 on the GMAT and get into the 99th percentile taking a course from Ravi via Veritas Prep is the only way to do it. Ravi has a no nonsense teaching style that is incredibly effective if you are willing to put in the work. He has tons of experience taking his students to the next level and it shows. I took a practice test after studying on my own for about a month and ended up with a measly 560. I didn't think there was any way that I could break 700 after that, but I decided to take a chance on the Veritas course. I was lucky enough to be in Ravi's class and that is what led to my success. The class was tough but fun and Ravi kept it interesting and enjoyable. He really only cares about you doing well on the test. He will give it to you straight and not accept less than the best from his students. His motto is 99 or bust and he really wants to get you there. He takes extra time outside of class to respond to all of his students emails and ensures that you are doing well. I took the test about a month after completing the course and scored a 700. I truly believe I could have done much better than that, but I misjudged my break time for the quant portion and paid the price. Even with that costly mistake I got a 700! I am very confident that when I retake the test I will be able to score higher. This is all thanks to Ravi's teaching and attitude. Woohoo Veritas Prep! To put it simply, Ravi Sreerama is the absolute best! I had the pleasure of enrolling in one of his live online six week GMAT prep courses this past December. The curriculum is intense, rigorous, and very well-organized for those who are serious about their GMAT studies. Ravi is an incredibly skilled, talented, and highly intelligent instructor who possesses a rare and unique ability to relate to each and every one of his students. His educational and professional background is a significant asset (he holds both JD and MBA degrees in addition to real world work experience) and he draws upon this expertise to break down tough, abstract content into simple, digestible morsels of information. One of the things I appreciated most was Ravi's candid and multifaceted approach to teaching content. He is in no way one-dimensional. A sign of a great teacher is one who can articulate concepts in more than one way and tailor explanations for the audience being addressed. I took the online course led by Ravi Sreerama after the in person course was cancelled due to lack of interest. They gave me a $200 discount for the online course. At first, I thought I'd get less out of it since it was online. However, there was a significant upside. Being online, I didn't have to rush away from work to class over 25+ minutes in rush hour traffic. Second, the video is live with very little delay and you can private message the proctor instantly. Ravi got back to you quickly when he was off screen letting you tackle a problem. The classes were easy to follow so long as you did the skill builders. If you take this class, make sure you hit those skill builders hard. They don't take that long and if you need to do them twice, do it. I'd also recommended doing the skill builders again before you go into the GMAT itself as a quick easy refresher. Ravi was a great instructor. Fun and entertaining but yet stern when it came to time management and making sure your progress was up to date with that of the rest of the class. Veritas Prep is worth the price. Think about your commute and other responsibilities when deciding to take the class online vs in-person. I travelled from Virginia to take this course. I wasn't sure what to expect but my general impression going in was I'd improve my GMAT score by merely paying attention. When I walked into class for the first time my initial impression, which is irrelevant in terms of value added--was regret: the was nothing special about the ambiance of the room. Our meeting room, which was in a nice and perfectly located hotel in NYC, only had a couple of whiteboards on easels. I'm not sure what I expected but tables, chairs, and whiteboards left me wanting more. Call me petty (or ...) but I felt comfort in knowing that I still had the option of canceling the course on the first day. BUT within the first 30 min of my first class I knew I was in the right place--there was no way I was canceling. And that has everything to do with Ravi, who is an exceptional GMAT instructor. Simply put, Ravi's course helped me become more efficient and strategic in solving GMAT problems. He not only knows his stuff but also has an effective way of teaching it. I guarantee you, no matter where you are in the process of preparing for the GMAT, Ravi's instruction will get you to the next level. I started up with Veritas in the early summer. I did online tutoring about three times a week during the summer and then once or twice a week as the school year began. I worked with Courtney, who has been amazing! She's helped me improve in each aspect of the test. She has definitely raised my score significantly, and we are hoping that I will be able to reach the goals that we laid out early in the tutoring. She is very well-versed with the SAT and PSAT and has taught me many effective strategies for problem-solving. She has also helped me devise specific test-taking approaches that have been of great use when I'm seated for the exam. Most importantly, Courtney has improved my writing immensely! In practicing for the essay portion of the exam, she has developed my writing skills and has made me a much much better writer -- something that has been reflected beyond just the exam. Additionally, as some people have pointed, Veritas has great customer service. They ensure that materials are delivered quickly and that the tutoring is very tailored to your needs. I took the 6-week Live Online Weekend course from Veritas Prep with Ravi earlier this Summer. I was looking around for GMAT prep classes in Dubai & attended a few free in-class sessions by different companies, but I was not impressed enough to continue and/or venture out in the heat at 115F. As luck would have it, I found the Veritas webpage & checked out a few sample videos of instructors. I was sold on the 30 sec snippet of Ravi's video & enrolled for his class that started in less than 48 hours! Ravi's classes were fun & engaging. I loved his enthusiasm & style of teaching. He was an amazing instructor who kept me engaged throughout the class: 8pm-11pm Dubai time after a long day of work on Sunday would not have been easy, but he made it! He is not afraid to push his students to do their best & that is something I really admired about him. The Live Online classroom format worked out so beautifully. It was perfect & comfortable & I didn't have to venture outdoors! I highly recommend this prep course taught by Ravi for anyone aiming to get a great GMAT score. I decided to take the Veritas Online prep course with Ravi Sreerama in order to prepare myself for the GMAT. My location did not allow me to attend an in-person class, so I decided to take the online course instead. This was a fantastic decision because I was able to get the in-class feel while studying online at home. Ravi Sreerama was my instructor and was fantastic. He keeps the class engaged and motivated with his down to earth personality. He teaches brilliant tactics to truly be a 99'er (99th percentile) week after week. The Veritas course design is great, but he was what really made the difference. I looked forward to attending his class on the weekends which kept me engaged throughout the 6 week journey. Ravi is a no BS kinda guy who demands perfection from his students. Taking his class has taught me to constantly look for shortcuts and think like the test maker. While many other teachers may teach the same material, Ravi really drove it home to me because of his personality and teaching method. The Veritas Prep Online Course is a great course for those who already have a solid foundation in both Quant and Verbal skills. Do not expect to be spoon-fed information, however this is exactly what any committed future MBA prospect should expect and want. The course will challenge you, regardless of your skill level, but also offers a regimented curriculum for you to effectively prepare for each lesson. Ravi did an incredible job connecting with the students in our class. To be honest, I was extremely skeptical about taking this course online due to the lack of social interaction with the instructor and opening myself up to potential distractions. However, Ravi does a great job of incorporating student involvement and has always made himself available for questions and/or advice. Ravi has some great tricks that aren't necessarily taught in the core lessons of the program, so if you are lucky enough to grab a spot in one of his classes you might find yourself well ahead of the curve. Put in the work with this course and you will see results. Props to Ravi! read more

Hands down would recommend taking the Veritas Prep class. About the overall course: They send you 12 books that contain all of the subjects on the GMAT. So one could sit there and focus on weak points. There are all sorts of questions that one can practice on in the medium to difficult levels. Answers are posted online and a method for solving them. For really difficult problems, a video is provided. Essentially, it is the most complete study program that I have seen. Additionally, Veritas also provides you with the ability to take practice tests (which is pretty common among GMAT test preps) Now in terms of the class itself, I can only speak to Ravi Sreerama, our Professor. I would HIGHLY recommend choosing Ravi if you take this course. The guy is a freakin genius. Not only does he explain things really well, he more often than not provides an alternate way of solving the problem, generally faster than the methods provided in the book. The man is a 99 percentiler in both the GMAT and the LSAT and it shows. read more

Ravi and veritas were excellent. While I was taking the course, I was also enrolled in law school and taking a summer evidence course. Ravi was an amazing teacher who helped simplify all of the math for me. My math skills have declined seeing as that I completed all of my college math credits while still in high school and my degrees (Major: Political Science; Minors: Business and Sociology) did not require much math. I needed to get a grasp on some basic math principles in a manner conducive to attacking the GMAT. My verbal skills were already satisfactory because of my undergrad degrees and the fact that I am already in law school, but again Ravi taught me little tricks to become even more efficient in answering the GMAT's Verbal section. Ravi helped me learn the tricks to attack the GMAT Quant section as well, an area where I had previously struggled. He truly cares about his students and is always available to help when needed. Veritas Prep is a magnificent company, and Ravi is an outstanding teacher. read more
