I believe (may be incorrect), that the hot pools used to be available for the final day of checkout. I was informed, after asking, if we could still take a soak after we checked out after 11am. I was told NO and in order to use the pool after checkout, we would need to pay an extra $50 EACH. Given how expensive the hotel has become, I was surprised and a little upset with this policy. I felt it cheapened the experience and we had ALREADY spent quite a lot of money on the accommodations. In addition, I was hoping there would a discount for guests for massages and other spa treatments, but that is not the case. The next time we visit, I will be comparing the cost and accommodations of OTHER hotels in the area before deciding where to stay.

The staff was unconcerned, and our leaving time was at 11:00 a.m. We were allowed to stay for $50.00,(per person) for 2 hours after we checked out, by the pool. Will keep my memories of years ago, but will not return. Sincerely.

I love the fresh orange juice and carrot juice ( especially the half oj half carrot combo). The waffles are nice and crispy and i really like the corned beef hash thats made in house! I've yet to order something i didn't like. the staff is super friendly and Im constantly impressed with how fast they get everything done when it's really busy on the weekend. including kitchen staff because food comes out pretty fast for the labor that goes into cooking it. this place is really cozy. would be the ideal place to catch up with friends or family or have a casual brunch date. lots of extra outdoor seating, which is phenomenal on a nice day.

I know what I did and I heard her loud and clear, but she said it like want us to leave because she looks so angry. I will be more than glad to pay for it, but she made us all Felt like we were stupid not understanding, we should had just left but we just came back from Burlingame and wanted to go to Cafe Central but the line was impossible to wait, so we said let's just go to our favor spot which is Brother's cafe. But after today experience we will not return, she did not even came by and asked if the food was okay or if we need anything else, we had to ask someone else for a paper cup. It took her a few minutes before she brought me another cup of water and repeat the same thing again and again that she threw the plastic cup in the trash because of me. The worst part we notice she was eyeing in us and told her coworkers, as we left the waiter that normally come by gave my sister a hug and we can tell, he said see you guys next week... which it will not happen. She did not need to scream so many times and repeated herself so many times even the table next to us just turn around and said what is the big deal. Yes I should had know better but my 14 year old dog was happen and issue with the heat from Burlingame. I love this place but after the server ( Latina women with glasses mid 30's-40's)not just try and give us a lecture and scream at me and kept telling me because of what I did she throw the plastic cup away, instead she could be more calm and use a better wording we would had enjoyed our late breakfast. She only had to say it once but she made a comment that is not expected, by eyeing us from afar and we feel Like she wanted us to leave, we could not enjoy today's meal. This is a restaurant not a home do some respect for your self and your customers. Thank you for the last 7 years of food, we had enjoyed every Sunday since. By the way I would be more than happy to pay for the plastic cup, and I am sorry this upset her so much she made us felt like we are not welcome anymore. I had a business in San Francisco and my employees know better than to behave with such attitude.

The Faculty Club, on the UC Berkeley campus, was designed by the legendary Berkeley architect and is many things to many people. Most notably, it's: * A place to eat and drink; * A venue to rent out for events; and * A place to spend the night. I ate and drank there* but I also spent the night there and that's the reason for my 3-star rating and the focus of this review. The Faculty Club rents out rooms, some with private bath and some with communal bath, all situated along a long hallway up a set of stairs. If you've drank too much below, are in town to visit a student at UCB, or are just hankering to spend the night on campus it's not a bad option. The rooms for rent are functional (not fancy) and clean (but not new). "Utilitarian" is an apt description. A friend and I stayed in a room with 2 beds and its own bathroom and shower at a cost of $215. Rooms with shared baths are (obviously) less and an additional $15.40 will buy you a parking pass valid until 2 p.m. the following day at a nearby, on campus lot. I don't track the cost of lodging in the Bay Area but this rate seemed reasonable, especially considering the inclusion of a continental breakfast for 2 the following morning. Before falling asleep the night of my stay my friend wondered whether the Campanile's toll would wake us. Fear not; it didn't. Instead, 52 beeps from a garbage truck backing up was followed by the crash of glass recyclables being collected, all before sunrise. So, be sure your room is on the west side of the building if you desire a quieter experience. I can't imagine returning for an overnight here but I'd certainly be comfortable recommending it to others. It was fun and serene to step outside in the morning, right onto the beautiful Faculty Glade of the UCB campus. I can well imagine others enjoying the reasonably-priced experience. * Food and drink are reviewed under Faculty Club Kerr Dining Room

I tried to embrace the history and think of all the families and students who have stayed here over the years, and that worked somewhat. I did have a good stay and ultimately enjoyed my room for what it was. Things to know: - The building is challenging to find and GPS is marginally helpful. - There was no place available to park to check-in so I had to risk it and park in a 30 minute loading zone up the hill. - It was hard to find the right door to get the lobby - no helpful signage at all. - After checking in you have to navigate to one of the parking lots they allow you to park in, which is not right at the Club. - You have to navigate your way back to the place after parking - I was lugging my bags. - You have to lug your bags up a significant flight of stairs to get to the rooms - no elevator. - The rooms are like an old cabin - not updated, dark wood, very basic accommodations. - If you get a room with your own bathroom, the bathroom is tiny with nowhere to set your toiletries or even hang your hand towel. - The bed is just okay - nothing like nicer hotels. The bedding is very thin and looks like something you'd find in a Motel 6. They could at least give you a nice mattress and comfy bedding even while keeping the basic/historic look of the rooms. - There is a flatscreen tv, but it's small and uses Dish network - remote is somewhat confusing. - There was a small fridge, but it wasn't plugged in. - There was a glue trap for rodents in my room which didn't instill confidence. Some positives: - The room was very spacious and had a high ceiling. Although it felt very old, it was clean. - The windows open wide letting in a nice breeze and adding a serene feel. - The price is reasonable in my opinion. - The atmosphere is relaxing and the area is safe. - The restaurant has good food and also reasonably priced in my opinion. - Free breakfast.

I first retained Tim in late 2024 to help me look at homes in the Walnut Creek area that were within my price range. At that time, we looked at some places, but I did not see anything that suited my personal tastes and my price range. At that time, Tim impressed me as personable, professional and knowledgeable; at no time did he do anything but have me look and tell him if I had any interest. I never felt any pressure to consider an offer on something I had looked at. I decided to stop looking for the moment but asked Tim to keep me informed of any places that came up for sale in a particular community in Walnut Creek that appealed to me, and he agreed to do so. In November 2025, Tim alerted me to ma property in that community that had not yet come on the market but soon would. Tim showed us the place, and ultimately helped me and my parents put together an offer before the property came on the market. The purchase/sale closed on December 22, 2025. I and my parents are of the opinion that Tim did an outstanding job. Tim was personable but professional and seemingly on good terms with the sellers' agent, resourceful, focused, diligent, and very knowledgeable about both homes and the surrounding schools and services in the area, and about all aspects of the buy-sell activities, negotiations and agreements relating to our purchase, including inspections, interactions with the sellers' agent, necessary documents to review and potential issues to be addressed. Tim was timely and substantively responsive in his work with respect to all of our questions, suggestions and requests, available at virtually at times, and receptive to our concerns. He provided us with all the needed documents and information, recommended quality home inspectors, explained forms that we needed to sig and the significance of disclaimers that we received. Tim was actively engaged in any negotiations, and made sound, informed recommendations, all while understanding that we, as the clients, made the final decision. He assisted us in securing home owners insurance coverage, and interfaced with our mortgage lender. Tim also was candid when a questions arose as to which he was uncertain of the answer, and assisted us in finding the proper resource to do so. In sum, Tim efficiently guided us through the entire purchase process with the professionalism that one expects from a high quality real estate agent. In terms of the biggest obstacle that Tim helped us address, there were two. The first was the discovery of needed repairs for safety and property preservation purposes that had not been disclosed by the sellers or their inspection people, and negotiations over a return of certain monies from the sellers to address same. Tim handles those negotiations very well. The second concerned timely securing requisite home owners' insurance. Given the fact the community is technically comprised of 88 units of quasi-townhouses with a HOA and substantial common grounds, and the fact some portions of the structure and grounds were the HOA's responsibility and some that of the individual lot owners, the interplay between the HOA's insurance and the coverage needed by the individual home/lot owners, was complicated, and difficult to understand and address. Again, Tim ensured that we communicated with the right people to address and resolve our questions. I and my parents highly recommend Tim's services as a real estate agent who anyone who inquires.
