I used to eat here regularly, but moved too far for it to be feasible to drop in every week. Now, it's only when I'm in the city center, so I miss this place because the food is exceptional. At the same time that the food is so great, it's also priced amazingly well. So well, in fact, that I have a hard time even understanding how it's possible for them to clear a profit on any one meal.... It's that low....And keep in mind that this is organic food!
The owners are genuinely kind people with a passion for healthy food and great service. Luis and Estefanía (husband/wife) barely set this place up two years before the date you see that I've written this. Luis, is the one that plans out, cooks and personally tests all the items on the menu. Formally trained as a musician, Luis didn't even have any prior experience with cooking!
Impacting life events had him reconsider his career path, and he immersed himself into the study and practice of healthy cooking of organic foods. Yes, Luis has worked extremely hard to get to where he's at, but I suspect there's an additional element at play here. On top of hard work, he's a really talented guy with an interesting personal story to tell.
How do I know so much about their story? It's tough not to get to know nice, approachable and inviting people. At the same time, Luis and staff have shown good sense in knowing when it's the right time to talk or when it's best to just give me space when wanted.
