The walls are covered in old photos, which gives it that cozy, authentic pub feel. We started with the Brussels sprouts, and those were a win. I love Brussels sprouts when they've got a little sweetness to them, and these hit the spot with a nice flavorful sauce. For my main dish, I ordered the cottage pie (similar to shepherd's pie), and it was honestly really, really good. The flavors were on point, and the mashed potatoes on top were super comforting and well done. Definitely something I'd order again. The only downside was the service--it was just okay. Nothing terrible, but it definitely could've been better and more attentive. Overall, it's a solid spot with great food and a fun atmosphere. I'd come back, especially for that cottage pie.

If you want a late night whiskey or beer or maybe a hot dog this place is fine. But if you want a warm meal then go somewhere else. I don't even think they have the equipment for it. Last two times I accepted the food and said nothing. Thought it was quirky or just my mood. Tonight was just stupid. My daughter and I rode our bikes here and we both ordered potatoes. They were uncooked. Not even warm enough to melt butter. I had mine taken back and reheated and even with the oven and everything they were unable to melt the butter on top of the potato. My daughter didn't complain and just picked at hers while we waited. After spending an extra 10 minutes in the oven the butter was still not melted. I'm not 100% on cooking but I'm pretty sure thats not how it works. They took off $5 for the potato (out of the $25 price) and then the waitress tried to defend it by saying it was the type of cheddar that kept it from melting. I really hope they fail and we can get a competent dive bar here because it is nice to get a late night drink.

Just a couple other folks there, so we settled into a table and I ordered a beer. My wife ordered a Mediterranean salad and a veggie sandwich. It takes a lot for us to leave a one-star review, but this experience, combined with the constant turnover of beertenders over the years, has finally pushed us to that point. Tonight, at 8:45 p.m. during last call, a new beertender named Rob poured me another beer. Then, at 9:12 p.m., he came over to remind us that they had closed at 9:00. We immediately gathered our things and left, but the interaction made us feel like we were being pushed out. I didn't even finish the beer I had just been served because we no longer felt welcome. For nearly 10 years, we've never been approached like that. We've often stayed up to 30 minutes after closing to finish beers that were poured at last call, and it has never been an issue. We fully understand and respect posted closing hours, but if customers are being served at last call, they should be given a reasonable opportunity to finish those beers without feeling rushed. What made the interaction even more confusing was that Rob was still in the middle of his own closing duties, like bringing in the outdoor cushions, so it didn't appear that our presence was delaying the brewery from closing. It's incredibly disappointing that after nearly two decades of supporting this brewery and being regular customers, this was the experience we had. Between the revolving door of beertenders and the way we were treated tonight, we've decided it's time to take our business elsewhere permanently.

When it comes to the size of the brewery, it's comfortable and has room to move around. There is an indoor taproom as well as an outdoor patio. The patio is a good size and there are fire pits during the cooler nights. For entertainment, there is shuffleboard, pinball machines, a wide variety of board games and a little gift shop area. They have a good sized screen for sports games and they are very kid friendly. They have clean restrooms and changing tables. For drinks and menus, they have many different beer choices, a selection of wine, visiting taps, and a few non alcoholic options such as sodas. They also offer good snacks such as pizzas, salsa platters, pretzels, burritos, chips, and kids snacks like goldfish, chips and Nutella snacks. Everything is reasonably priced and we do recommend this great spot to those with and without little ones.
