Took another car there (Dodge Avenger) and had them look at it for problems, as I had gotten this for my son. What I thought would need to be repaired, turned out to be something I could fix with an additive and was told what to do by Rodney, the owner. Haven't had that issue with the car since. Very honest and upfront about costs and repair work needed. I wanted to have other work done and he directed me to a shop that was cheaper than he was for the work needed. How many people would send work to another shop!?! Shows how honest and upfront they are with their customers. Have another car there right now for trans work and will probably have to take yet another. At least I feel pretty comfortable in believing I will not be taken for a ride. As long as this pattern continues, they will have me as a customer. If you have doubt, take your vehicle to a few different shops then go see him and see what he states in comparison. I don't know if I caught these guys on a bad day or two, however I brought my vehicle in with an…read moreissue with the O2 sensors, I brought my own parts and the first time my wife brought it in and they only supposedly changed 3 of the 4 sensors and charged her $200, so I bring it in on the weekend myself with the other sensor and explained the issue and they take it in to repair the other O2 sensor and while waiting three other customers come in with a return service so I knew something was wrong then! After one hour they bring my vehicle out and said they changed the other sensor but there's more problems lol My vehicle now has all kinds of codes, and I needed to bring it back later on in the week and charged me $60. I went home cleared the other codes with my scanner, waited a week of driving and the only code that came back was for the O2 sensor, took it to another shop and low and behold it was one O2 sensor that was the problem & cost me more money, so please stay away from here.

The owner, John, was very upfront about expectations, and said it could possibly be in the $2.5 to $4k range if another rebuild and expensive parts were needed. After he had a chance to take it apart to inspect, he determined the main problem was that it needed a new solenoid body. He replaced it, along with some other work, and the cost for parts and labor was a fraction of the initial rough estimate he gave. The best part is the T-Bird shifts great now and is a joy to drive again (I can put that V8 to good use now :) John was honest, fair and really knew what he was doing to get the job done right (and, as a side note, a really nice guy to deal with). I highly recommended John and Advantage Transmission in Woodstock for any transmission issues you might have in the future. 10 out of 10 all around!
