Yes there is some decoration but not overly so. The cheese enchiladas were on the lunch special and they were excellent. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to jail for two years, and if this is all they had I would have rather starved to death. All that I could tolerate was the tortillas that came with my fajita plate. Ground beef Wsg over seasoned. Queso came with lumps. Filmed over a thick layer . This made me miss the honey and jelly on whole wheat grain with crackers and wet Oreos in prison. Wouldn't feed this to my dog. I work at Taco Bell, my standards are NOT high. We use powder for our beans, and the beans here make ours look gourmet . Came in around 4:00 in the afternoon, only one other table was sitting and we had to go to almost other end of the restraunt for a clean table . Come to find out , the table sitting down was the staff. As our server got up from her table , no joke finished chewing next to us facing them, then turned around and asked how we were doing. With visiting Victoria on New Years Eve, we went to many Mexican food locations in the town and this was the only one we could find open. We are so glad to find it because it was delicious. They have a fajita/enchilada plate combo, which I have never seen at any other Mexican food restaurant. It's really the perfect dinner for me because I hate to choose between the two! I chose the beef fajita, which was so tender and flavorful. It came with the enchilada(I chose cheese) rice, beans, homemade flour tortillas and a healthy scoop (small bowl) of guacamole. The flour tortillas was so good that I ordered a dozen to go. Being from Dallas area, finding homemade flour tortillas done right is very hard to find. Our waitress was nice but seemed tired. It was a little confusing with the younger "helpers" bringing drinks and various things but I guess it is to help our tired waitress. My husband loved his food as well and his margaritas. He reviews too. The man at the register was nice, made small conversation about the Dallas Cowboys with us and helped get us flour tortillas to go. If we are ever back in Victoria, I would definitely want to eat here again. read more

I read great reviews about this place when looking into Mexican restaurants in Victoria. It was the only one to have so many positive reviews so we were excited to try it. We got in about 1.5 hours before they closed. There were a few people eating and lots of empty tables, yet we weren't seated until 10 minutes after we arrived, and we were seated at a dirty table and they bussed it abound us. The menu was like all Mexican restaurants, except they had almost no vegetarian options. They let us substitute beans for meat with no problem though. The food was average. We got a small nacho which said (6) next to it. It was literally 6 tortilla chips, some broken, covered in beans and cheese on a plate. There was enough toppings for 3x as many chips. Then to top it off, there was a hair that was not mine in our guacamole! Gross! read more

Very little atmosphere to this place. Could have been Western Sizzler in former life. I started with chips and salsa. Salsa was fresh and delicious but might be a little on spicy hit side for some. I wish I had a better vehicle for it though as the chips were thick and chewy. The pico that came with meal was good but a tad heavy with cilantro. The guacamole was excellent. The tortillas were excellent. The beef fajitas were tender and juicy but had a bit too much charcoal flavor. The peppers and onions were undercooked. Passing through looking for a good place to eat. The reviews were good so we stopped. Big mistake! Apparently if you stop within an hour and half of closing time you'll be greeted with all the warmth of a walleyed pike. There was a group seated at a large table in the back which we soon learned was the staff. The hostess tells us sit wherever so we did. She brought menus and got our drink order. She also delivered chips and salsa at this point the only thing she said to us was sit wherever and what do want to drink. Next came the waitress. This is when we learned the only other table in the place was the staff. She put her phone down and meandering her way to the table pulled out her note pad and pen then just stood there and looked at us. Never said a word! This should have been a clue to find somewhere else to eat but we stayed. Both ordered the Texas Quesadilla. Bland over cooked the only thing that was eatable was the guacamole and chips. Compete waist of money. When we got up to leave we couldn't even get anyone to put down their phones to come to the register. We left the money at the register and walked out. Bye bye. read more
